30 hours! Wow! We're doing 6 hours to the beach on Saturday with our twins and I'm dreading that. Luckily I'm tiny enough I can sit in the middle in the back with them if need be, but my one girl is just over car rides so it's going to be interesting.
One of us will usually ride with but we got lucky and found a puppy toy that she loves. She snuggles right up to it and falls asleep looking out the window unless she's hungry or something.
Yep, I usually end up sitting in the back seat to pick up toys as LO throws them down, hand him snacks and cups and sing and clap and play peek-a-boo.
We had the same problem. The girls always drop their toys and cups. We bought these things to help. They are adjustable so they fit cups, toys or bottles. Maybe just an idea. They're like $5 at Walmart. You can Google them and get them other places too!
I have a pretty solid invention idea. My girls LOVE to throw their toys between their seat and the door. Solution? A mesh net that connects to the side of their car seats with suction cups on the window to create a net. BOOM. No more lost toys. Why hasn't anyone invented this yet?
So we made it last weekend. And it was surpringly not as horrible as I thought it would be! We made a stop every 4ish hours. My daughter sat in the back with him and keep him entertained very nicely. Hoping the trip back next week will be as easy!!
