IVF with history of thin lining

I am currently on my second canceled FET due to thin lining. I think I was on the seven different medications including injectable , suppository ,and oral for my thin lighting including baby aspirin and vitamin E. My lining only got up to 5.6 but my quality decreased with the increased amount of medications they gave me. Does anyone have any other suggestions or advice to give me as I am losing hope? Thanks for any input

Sorry you're going through this...have you ever had a hysteroscopy to check the shape of your uterus? I also had a thin lining, and my RE thought I may have a slight t-shape uterus from the 3D ultrasound that he had done during my investigative cycle. After a few months of Femara and Prometrium and still no improvement, he did a hysteroscopy and confirmed and corrected the issue, which was also hiding some endometriosis symptoms in my case (never had heavy periods). We did an IUI the following cycle, and for the first time ever my lining was above 8mm, and it ended up working. Someone else I know also went through something similar where she got pregnant at every embryo transfer but lost the pregnancy in the first few weeks. Turns out when her RE (same as mine) did a hysteroscopy, she had a septate uterus. Hope that helps, and wishing you the best of luck!

I'm guessing they had you on this but not sure - were you on Estrace ? When my lining was thin that made a huge difference !

For my first FET my lining took forever to thicken up. My second one was not as long. I switched from splitting up my estrace dosage to taking it all in the evening. I was also up to 8 mg orally and 4 mg vaginally every day by the time I was ready for transfer during my second FET.

HI 38busky,

I'm so sorry your going through this. I currently had the sabre thing happen. My last ivf cycle was cancelled. My lining only got up to 6.5, then bottomed out and didn't go higher. hysteroscopy ended up showing nothing. No scarring, nothing to explain why either. Now I'm on .03 CC Estrace, viagra 2x a day vaginally, baby asp, and just started my progesterone last night (

Hey all-i have had a hysteroscopy (several) and not much to blame anything on. I was on estrace 3x day along with a boatload of other meds. The RE is going to let me have my cycle and start over with straight delestrogen shots. Hard to be patient! Thx for all your comments and concerns!

@38busker I haven't had my FET yet but have had lining issues with my IUIs where estrace didn't do much of anything and in fact seemed to make my lining even thinner when taking it vaginally. My RE is also putting me on delestrogen shots starting about 3 weeks prior to my transfer date. FX that it works for both of us!

Hey all-update: my lining isnt thickening even with every combo of med and acupuncture

my FE gave me too options: get off all meds and see if lining will thicken naturally or gestational carrier. My guess is i'm going to do GC but i do want to give natural a try. I have already ordered essential oils, raspberry tea leaf. Does anyone have any dietary advice to thicking this stubborn lining?

Someone here mentioned daily orgasms, which is supposed to help with blood flow down there. Also dong Quai, a herb. But I would research that one first. GL
