Just got word from my RE that I can finally continue onto IUI #2. My TSH could be a bit better, but it's decent and seems stable now so overall good news. We don't want to mess with it more just yet since it has been a tricky case to get it stable and close to where it needs to be. We'll continue to monitor it closely and my endo of course says to let her know ASAP if I get pregnant since then we'll need to up the dose. Now I'm just waiting for AF to show up, my temps have dropped among other signs so she should be here any day now blah Ready to get that over with and move onto next cycle!

Not much going on for me this week. Just starting my 2WW and 20 days and counting until my first consult with the new gynecologist. So basically, I'm just waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting.................
@meli123k good news that you can finally move on to your next iui!
I am on cd 11. i finished my last clomid pill two nights ago. Starting the whole opk madness again. I hope I ovulate earlier this round of clomid. My acupuncturist gave me some "blood promoting" herbs to help with potential thin uterine lining. I also have a fertility massage today, yay!
My my sister is still in critical condition. We had a little good news today. I'm just living moment to moment and trying not to get lost in my thoughts.
TTC since May 2015 with domestic partner of 13 years. Me 33 OH 33. No ovulation or natural menstruation. Normal SA.
Diagnosed PCOS February 2016
First cycle 50mg Clomid 5/3/16, O'd CD 19 BFN
Second cycle 50mg Clomid 6/1/16 O'd CD 18 BFN Third cycle Clomid 6/29/16 O'd CD 16 BFP @11dpo! EDD April 3 and praying things work out!
@hoffmanr7: All the waiting is so hard, I feel like it's all I do these days! Hoping the next few weeks go by quickly for you!
@Ducks&Cats: I hope the herbs are helpful! My acupuncturist recommended some herbs for me too, but I am on the fence about it because my RE is against me taking them so I'm going by what he says for now. But I can't help but wonder sometimes if they would help. Glad to hear there was some good news about your sister, but sorry to hear she is still in critical condition. Hoping you get more good news soon!

@hoffmanr7 some weeks I enjoy the 'nothing to report'. The 20 days will go by quickly!
@Ducks&Cats I'm still thinking about your sister! Are you close with other members of your family? Maybe a nice family dinner or games, or even a day of pampering would help you focus on something else.
CD 1 for me today. I went and picked up my script for Provera today and got back to my office and AF shows up. Thankfully my benefits covered the pills so I didn't waste money on them. I have day 3 ultrasound and bloodwork booked for Thursday morning and we will get our script for Gonal-f that day. Doc will monitor me until I show signs of ovulation. If it's not clear cut he will give me a trigger shot...and then we do IUI #1.
Can I ask you state side people how much you pay for Gonal-F (those of you who have taken it or saw prices of it) Our fertility clinic wanted almost $600 for 450 IU. I am lucky to work very closely with a pharmacist and he charges $450 for the same thing.
@GoldenKeys you can take me off the check-in list. Our second IVF ended with 1 embryo that was PGS Abnormal. We are not TTC anymore. I hope everyone is doing OK.
I was finally able to go back to my RE after seeing some other specialists for my condition (Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia). Saw him on the 1st and he told me I could start Femara if my progesterone showed that I hadn't ovulated. So we did blood work that day and an ultrasound. US looked good and healthy. Got the call with my blood work the next day...and it showed I actually ovulated!! My level was 5. I haven't seen AF since December and I've never been told I have ovulated before, so this was a shock. So now we have to wait until the 14th to start Femara to make sure I'm not pregnant from the spontaneous ovulation. I normally would be excited, but I went on vacation with just my mom for a week around the time they think I ovulated, so that may have been a waste. I also got my trigger shot in the mail a few days ago. That thing is intimidating! Now we're just waiting!

hey everyone last cycle was a BFN which I figured it would be so no biggie.. AF showed up yesterday and seems to be REALLY bad this cycle.. not sure if it is connected with Clomid or just a coincidence .. either way, I start Clomid again tomorrow and have a CD 12 appointment to move forward with my first IUI this cycle... I did confirm with the Drs office that he will be prescribing Ovidrel..... they said he will prescribe it on the CD 12 appointment but after we hung up it hit me that I want to use freedom fertility pharmacy- so I need them to fax it to the pharmacy early so they have enough time to ship it.. so I will be calling them again today or tomorrow to see if they can fax that prescription ahead of time

Sorry I disappeared again - it's hard for me to be on the boards when I am waiting to do things, so I kind of just keep my head down.
But right now I am back in DC, doing my partial IVF with ICSI cycle. Yesterday I had bloodwork and, again, I was low. Lower than I was at this point my last cycle. The nurse didn't sound too worried though, since I started out low last time and ended up responding well when my body decided to get with the program.
We also got a call from the genetics lab that will be doing our PGD testing (quick reminder - we found out DH has what's called a balanced translocation, which means that parts of 2 of his chromosomes are broken off and switched. There is nothing wrong with him, but any embryo could have unbalance chromosomes, which would mean disabilities if the embryo even survived), and we learned some interesting things:
1. We do not, in fact, have a 50% chance of any embryo being healthy. It's really more like 20%. This is because there are 16 different possible outcomes from the translocation, and only 2 of them are ones we actually want. 2. They will not be able to tell from the testing if a healthy embryo is normal or balanced. I will have to do genetic testing for that. 3. They could technically test DH's individual sperm to find ones that carry healthy chromosomes. However, to do that would destroy the sperm, which would defeat the purpose.
DH and I discussed it, and we decided that no matter how many embryos we get from this time, we are sending them off, along with the 3 we got from our last cycle. We can't afford to come back and do more full cycles, so if this doesn't work, we will look into alternative methods.
@meli123k - Yay on getting to start IU2! Hope it works for you!
@Ducks&Cats - I am glad to hear that you are hearing good news about your sister! Here is hoping she continues to improve!
@PlainJane - My meds are all covered by my insurance, so I don't pay anything for them, and the paperwork doesn't even say a price on them. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
@hoffmanr7 waiting is so hard, it is all I feel like i have done for the past year, just waiting and waiting... Hand in there
@ducks&cats I'm still thinking about your sister and praying for her, thanks for the update.

SummerBrooke13 great news! Hopefully the Femara will be the boost you need, but FX for this cycle anyway!
harleyquinn0621 good luck with IUI #1 I'm following to see how things go and I'm really hopeful for you. FX this cycle!
@Calfherder I'm so, so sorry, my heart is breaking for you. I hope each day going forward for you is more encouraging than the last.
Nothing much here to report this week. WTO and we don't have any new plans for this cycle; just trying to enjoy summer, relaxing (hey thats what everyone says to do right? ) and prepping for IUI in August. @ReesaAnne16 I'm sort of on the same schedule. I had to reschedule my RE appt so DH could come but she had a 2.5 month wait so our appointment is not until August. In an effort to find local clinical trials I randomly ended up scheduling a free RE consult (they even got my records from my RE for me) for a second opinion at 7:45am tomorrow though so I guess we'll hear what's next now that clomid is off the table.

@seethosestars sorry you're on CD1. I think it's a cruel joke from Mother Nature that we get a BFN when our hormones are all crazy because of AF. Big hugs to you!
@Ducks&Cats continued prayers for you and your sister. Happy you got a little bit of good news and I hope you guys continue to get good news.
AF showed up after going in to the RE Monday to figure out why it was MIA. Got word yesterday that we start our injections for IVF on June 23. I'm really excited but incredibly nervous too. I'm sure everything will be fine but it's just fall very overwhelming.

I'm on CD4, don't normally ovulate on my own but hoping an improved diet and starting a 5 day a week exercise routine will help. I started making changes two weeks ago and managed to shorten my cycle from 50 days to 45! If I can't get myself to ovulate by September we'll have to go back to Letrozole for Sept & Oct and then on to IUI for Nov & Dec.
Oct will mark three years since we stopped BC, I thought for sure I'd be done having babies by now. Oh how naive one can be

Not much to update here. AF showed up on Monday, so I've just been trying to keep busy. Still waiting for DH's urologist appointment & repeat SA to get more info. Just trying to stay positive til then and Hoping maybe we'll get lucky with our 4% chance on our own before the urologist appointment.
Saw the Doc last week. She has ordered another SA for DH and a urology referral, depending on his results (3 months ago it was 22 million). She is sending me in for an HSG and if it comes back clear then Chlomid to double my egg production. Currently on CD20 (usually 29 day cycles).
Hang in there @hoffmanr7 the TWW is brutal! I'm right there with you. I'm always amazed that it never gets easier!

I have officially started screening for the trial. Yesterday we signed consents (which took the nurse over an hour to go through with us!) and they drew blood to send to the central lab the trial uses to check my AMH. The nurse said we should know by Monday if we're accepted! If we're accepted, she said there's a very good chance I'll be able to start stims with my next period, which is due around the 23rd.
@calfherder I am so so sorry to hear about this. BIG *hugs* to you.

Optimal size is typically 18-22....although some REs will say 16+
My Update:
It has been difficult the last 2 weeks. 2/3 cycles have now been abandoned due to low response to meds and thus, lack of follicle growth, and even the 1 that we were able to try, the biggest follicle was only 17mm and I ovulated quite late on CD19. My doctor told us today about the second cycle being cancelled officially after my e2 levels kept dropping. Nobody knows why and it is frustrating. The doctor stated that he is going to consult with a team to see what our next steps would be. I am wondering if increasing my dose would make sense (the highest they ever gave me was 125IU per night of either Gonal-F or Gonal-F+Menopur). The doctor said he didn't want to give me a dose any higher due to my age and the fact that I have a lot of follicles (just none that like to grow I guess). We are meeting with them on July 5th and just hanging back for now. In the meantime, they want to talk to us about being put on a waitlist for IVF (we would have to wait a year until next summer to do it), and then meet with them on July 5th to determine our next steps. DH and I also inquired about information about starting the adoption process as well as that can take a few years and it helps us to feel proactive. It has been such a difficult and frustrating process...and as much as I love my family and friends, and they have been supportive....it's so hard when nobody actually has been through it, and they just don't understand.
I just want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone here...thank you for getting it. You have no idea how much I need this group.

*copied from my update yesterday in June/July IVF on Infertility forum*
Unfortunately I was not accepted to the trial. DH and I are pretty angry, because we didn't trust our gut back in April when we made the decision to wait. My AMH has been all over the place (from 4.5, to 5.75, to 7.91). We thought it would be silly not to wait for the trial (which has an AMH requirement of 5) if my most recent test was 7.91. But with my AMH being all over the place, we just had a FEELING we would have issues getting accepted. But still I didn't expect it to come back as low as it did: 3.19. It doesn't even make any sense and I'm pretty angry that we waited. We were going to start IVF in April, but didn't because of this trial. The nurse said we can submit my AMH one more time in two weeks but that it is unlikely it will come back over 5. We are just done waiting for this. It has been one delay after another and we've already been getting treatments now since November.
So we're finished with this trial, and my new (actually, original) protocol is to start BCPs today for 3 weeks and we have an IVF class scheduled at my clinic for the 28th. So it's looking like a July ER and August FET. All of which could have been done in April/May.
----
That was yesterday, so I officially started BCPs last night. Feels good to finally be starting now and I'm doing my best to put that 3 month wait for absolutely NOTHING behind me.

Third cycle Clomid 6/29/16 O'd CD 16 BFP @11dpo!
EDD April 3 and praying things work out!

@meli123k fingers crossed for IUI #2!

HI everyone!
@seethosestars GL this cycle!

@hoffmanr7 waiting is so hard, it is all I feel like i have done for the past year, just waiting and waiting... Hand in there
@ducks&cats I'm still thinking about your sister and praying for her, thanks for the update.
Plainjanie & @seethosestars I'm sorry about CD1 ladies; you're fighting the good fight, just hang in there
SummerBrooke13 great news!
I might be slightly more hopeful about this cycle than the last, hoping something is finally working for us.

No Folic acid/pharmaceuticals/supplements (too many to list- private message me if interested), IVIL infusion

@Ducks&Cats - Sending you ovulating vibes nice and early! I am actually quite interested in fertility acupuncture and massage! I'd love to know more about it! Keeping your sister in my thoughts and prayers always .
@Plainjanie - That actually happened to me with Provera as well...I hear chances are better when it comes naturally, so hopefully that is good news! GL with IUI #2. I paid about $525 CDN for 450IU
@calfherder - I am so sorry to hear! Sending lots of love your way...I don't even know what to say....I am just so sorry from the bottom of my heart.
@SummerBrooke13 - GL with your cycle on Femara....or better yet....I hope you get a BFP from that spontaneous ovulation!
@harleyquinn0621 - GL with your first IUI cycle! FX for you!
@seethosestars - Good luck with your cycle! CD1 never feels great....hoping the time flies and you can feel proactive again soon...I've totally been there and it's awful.
@starlitfae - I really really hope that this cycle is successful for you...that sounds so incredibly stressful and my heart is with you! GL! Never feel bad for taking a break....they are definitely needed around here!

@SoonToBeMommaHowe - I've recently started a new diet and trying to exercise as well, so I am glad to hear that you have been having success with it! I hope that you are able to get yourself to ovulate naturally! I definitely had a timeline like that planned out as well....ohhh if only we knew then what we know now. GL!
@jojomama25 - Sorry to hear about AF. Wishing you all of the luck on your own before the urologist appointment!
@Mrs.RedHead - Sending you positive vibes for positive test results and maybe a BFP at the end of this TWW!
@wifeinraleigh28 - Sending you so much luck....I hope that you are accepted!!
@smokinangel- You are still super early...and the fact that you already have an 18 on CD12 is really good! As someone who has had 2 cycles cancelled because of lack of follicle growth...and barely squeezed by the 3rd...I promise you that you are on the right track! GL!
