Hello,
I'm new here!
Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with failed FETs & genetically tested embryos? I just had my first failed FET with one embryo that tested as normal. My BETA showed positive at first, but HCG was very low at 8.2. Re-testing 48 hours later showed as negative, so I assume this was a "chemical pregnancy"?
Now I am down to one frozen embryo and am terrified I may lose that one as well. Just looking for anyone that has had a similar experience. I'm trying so hard to stay positive, but as I'm sure all of you can relate, it's hard to stay hopeful sometimes. Sending GL to all of you.
Me (35) - DH (41)
Diagnosed with unexplained infertility
3 months on Clomid unsuccessful
3 failed IUIs
IVF (one time) - resulted in two normal genetically tested embryos
FET transfer of one embryo on 4/29
One embryo remaining

No, I have had no immune testing done and have not heard of that! I will look into it. Just on the progesterone and estrogen, but also on Lupron up until shortly before the transfer. Thank you for your reply!

We have 4 embryos currently off for PGS (15 retrieved, 14 mature, 7 fertilized with ICSI, and 4 made it to biopsy and freezing). Was wondering if you (or anyone else on the post) has considered another ER cycle once down to 1-2 embryos left. This two week wait for results is difficult and I'm trying to think about every contingency...
first RE visit 11/15, me - blocked left tube and Low AMH, DH - low count, motility not great
5/16 Lupron, gonal f, menopur, dexamethasone (5/19 suppression check: 13 resting follicles; 5/24: estradiol 457 - decreased menopur;
5/27: estradiol 1417, progesterone 0.18, 5 follicles >15mm, 9 follicles 5-15mm; 5/30: estradiol 2964, progesterone 0.8, 9 follicles
>16mm, 6 follicles 6-11mm; 5/31: estradiol 3149, progesterone 4.1; 6/1 ER)
6/16 egg retrieval 6/1 (15 eggs, 14 mature, 7 fertilized with ICSI); 5 day update (5AB (biopsied and frozen), 4AB/C (biopsied and frozen), 2/3, 3 morula, 1 multicellular); 7 day update (4 frozen and sent for CCS: 5AB, 4AB/C, 5AB, 4BB); CCS results (2 normal, 1 abnormal, 1 inconclusive)
7/16 attempt to retest inconclusive - didn't survive thaw
8/16 transfer day 8/1: 2 5AB hatching blasts, beta 8/10 = 250!!, beta #2 8/12 = 572, ultrasound on 8/24...TWINS!

I was in a similar situation in March-what seemed like a chemical pregnancy after a FET with a PGS embryo.
My RE did 2 endobiopsies (some people refer to them as an endo scratches, I think?) before my next FET. They discovered I had endometritis (an inflammation of the endometrium-NOT endometriosis), which probably caused the implantation fail. A couple weeks of doxycycline cleared up the issue. My RE also added lovenox (a low level blood thinner) and prednisolone (to inhibit any possible inflammation as well as extra precautions before my next FET, which was successful.
Hope that helps!
