My DH is the type to say don't get me anything and I don't want anything kind of person but I always do something. I got this for my DH. I can't wait for it to come It will have both are boys and our little girl to be on there. On each penny it has our babies year of birth.
Also so plan to do something crafty with our boys. I've been checking out Pinterest for ideas.
I got DH this, he loved it. (I gave it to him early in case he wanted to wear it for our maternity pictures) He asked if he can put it in my hospital bag to make SURE he has it to wear at the hospital. (Then again, this is the guy who walked around Disney world on our honeymoon in groom mouse ears... He's kinda a dork;) )
I got DH this (but with a onesie instead of the t-shirt) and a book about becoming a dad. He did basically 0 for me for mother's day, so not sure we'll do anything else (but maybe we'll go out to dinner--treat for me too!)
Married May 2014 DD born August 2016 Baby #2 due December 2017
Father's Day falls around the same week or so of our anniversary and DHs birthday so I normally get him a big gift that goes for all 3. This year I decided to get him a tattoo gun, it's something he's always wanted to so I figure why not. I'm pretty excited about it because DH is normally hard to buy for.
My current thought, FTM mom here, is to get husband a few of his favorite craft beers, which he doesn't buy for himself often, and then find a picture or two of him and his Dad, who passed away in early March, and frame them for him. We don't really have many pictures of my husband and his dad together, and I can't think of a single one framed in our house. Husband won't want a big fuss, and I want to honor his Dad this Father's Day since it's his first without his Dad.
We have two dachshunds, and they've given him funny dachshund-themed gifts, like a "Dachshund Dad" mug, over the past couple years... Gotta love the wide universe of Amazon!
I'm going to get him a little basket of a pack of boxer briefs, undershirts, patterned work socks, a new tie from the dog and a Dad shirt of some sort from the baby
Nothing here as we haven't had the babies yet and they are our first. He didn't even say happy Mother's Day to me on Mother's Day, so I don't plan on doing anything for him this year! I have some ideas already for next year though.
DH is always hard to buy for so I am looking on here for ideas. We already have DD and I am pregnant with DD 2. About three years ago I bought a picture frame and put three photos of DD holding letters to spell out dad. He loved it so I am planning on updating it once DD 2 is here.
We always opt for super practical gifts. I am going to make a desk thing for our room for days when DH works from home as his office became the new nursery. We technically set up his office in our dining room/multi-purpose room but it's centrally located and loud when DD and I are playing in the living room. This would be another option for his workspace when he's working from home.
I'm also recreating some photos I took last year for Father's Day (I kept the sign).
I got H this t-shirt/onesie set. He's a huge X-box gamer so I hope he likes it! Our co-ed shower is the day before Father's Day, so I'm going to give it to him them. Not sure why the Etsy seller put an X-box in the picture, but I most certainly did not buy him one for Father's Day!
We're doing a combo DD's 2nd bday and Father's Day with our immediate families. DD was born on Father's Day in 2014, so I really can't top that....but as second rate gifts I got him a Hankuna Matata shirt that he hasn't stopped talking about since we went to Disney, a new hose (because I broke the other one lol), a cordless drill that he asked for, new cover for the grill that he also asked for, and a grill scraper because the way he currently cleans the grill grosses me out lol.
We have a small cookout planned and both our dads and my BIL (his birthday is Father's Day as well) will be coming. DH knows about it, but I'll be surprising him with a new grill, so he'll be really excited about that!
I also grabbed a few baby books in Spanish for him to read to baby. My shower was this past weekend and my hostesses asked guests to bring books in place of cards. As soon as DH got home, he asked if we got any Spanish speaking books and I think hew as a little disappointed that we didn't. He really wants to teach Spanish and English and he's been really excited about reading to the baby, so he'll be really happy about these.
We are going to brunch with my parents, and I got DH a satirical/funny book called "How to Tramatize your children: 7 proven methods to help screw up your kids deliberately and with skill" and also this t-shirt to put in our hospital bag.
Picked these up for my nerdy flannel wearing DH. Plus a cute "dad-to-be card" I think he will appreciate the sentiment as his love language is gifts.
I am usually horrible at picking him out something or waiting until the last minute. For his first two birthdays/Christmas/anniversary after our wedding, I saved stuff to my phone that he registered for at Sears. Now I actually have to come up with real ideas as those things have all been purchased.
