What's for Dinner (Week of 6/13/16)

What on your meal plans for the week? Any special breakfast or lunch suggestions? Dietary restrictions? Let's hear it! 

And because I am living vicariously through all of you who can still have sweets and carb load... here's a little waffle food porn. Up close and personal.

    M- BBQ meatballs, rice and broccoli
    T- late work lunch at our school, so probably nothing
    W- fast food
    T- leftovers
    F- pizza

    Ugh, so uninspired to cook lately. 
  •  chicken nuggets and home made Berry salad.
  • We're in a rut food-wise.  Following the thread to get some ideas.  Our meal plan for the week:

    M - Bean burgers with baked sweet potatoes
    T - Out with our parenting group - pizza
    W - Tacos with quinoa meat substitute
    Th - Breakfast for dinner
    F - Brussel sprout pasta
  • M:  BBQ Chicken and mashed potatoes
    T:  Chicken parm zucchini boats (trying recipe from Pinterest )
    W:  Stuffed peppers
    T:   Turkey kielbasa with squash, onion, and peppers
    F:  Cabbage rolls
  • Monday - spaghetti 
    Tuesday - out with the girls (trying to stick to a salad....)
    Wednesday - grilled pimento cheese 
    Thursday - Chicken wraps 
    Friday and the weekend is up in the air right now.

  • I totally suck at breakfast and lunch so I'm trying to make a fruit smoothie to balance out the frozen lunch I normally make after skipping breakfast.

    Sunday-pulled chicken sandwhichs, mac and cheese, corn

    Monday- honey garlic shrimp, pasta, broccoli 

    Tuesday - pancakes and an egg bake

    Wednesday - fajita chicken pasta

    Thursday - fries pork chops, peroghi, roasted sweet potato 

    Friday - leftovers 

    Saturday - probably takeout

    Tonight we're doing caprese stuffed chicken and salad
    Also on the menu:
    Fajita quinoa bowls with either chicken or steak and veggies
    Creamy Herb Boursin Chicken with brussel sprouts
    Rounding it off with something grilled probably... it's supposed to be in the triple digits this weekend so no way I'm turning the oven on. Maybe some steaks with chimichurri and grilled veggies.
    Some point this week my husband wants to make italian sausage stuffed portobellos that he saw on pinterest...he was supposed to make them yesterday, then got home from the market and was too tired lol, welcome to my world!

    BLTs
    Italian zucchini boats
    Shrimp scampi
    Fish tacos
    Eating at a baseball game Friday and out on Saturday
    Sunday the in laws are coming for Father's Day.  DH is making ribs and I'm making my go to bbq sides: loaded baked potato salad and corn, avocado, tomato salad.  For dessert I'm making a very Midwestern family recipe... Strawberry pretzel jello salad.  It's not my usual style but it's actually really good and DH requested it... He's the father to be!

  • I'm waiting to see if we loose our power. We are currently having insane high winds, extreme rain fall and flooding in parts of our city. 
    If we don't I'm making spaghetti, if we do I guess we are eating out somewhere that has power or it will be whatever we can find.

  • Yesterday I made grilled chicken with a lemon pepper rub, butter herb noodles, and carrots.
    Today we are having dry rub seared pork loin, corn on the cob, and summer potatoes.
    I haven't planned the rest of the week yet :P

    I'm finally getting back into cooking...

    Wednesday: Homemade Macaroni & Cheese
    Thursday: Crockpot Beef Chili
    Friday: Tilapia & Rice

    Probably leftovers over the weekend--hubby hates it when there's a lot of leftovers in the fridge and they go to waste! I'll probably freeze half the chili for next week or the week after.
