Anything going on this week? nothung really, DS is going to a VBS this week so I get 2 hours with just DD at night

Rants/Raves/Questions.. My brother is just really annoying me, nothing pregnancy related, he is just pissing me off

GTKY: What is one thing you would like to learn? I really want to learn to sew, I just got a sewing machine and I'm waiting for my mom to come over and teach me how to sew.

Hello Monday changers!

How far along are you? 14 weeks - welcome to the 2nd trimester!

How big is baby? mille-feuille (napoleon), peach, beet, troll doll, house mouse, lemon

Anything going on this week? I am posting our pregnancy announcement on FB on Tuesday, after we let some close friends know that we have kept this secret from, and for those who I haven't seen, tonight. Also, impatiently waiting for our Harmony results to come back (done last Thursday so I know there is still time).

Rants/Raves/Questions... Hoping to get some energy back this week, as last week was a struggle once I got home from work. I didn't mind the naps, but it didn't help in being productive at home or getting my sweat on.

GTKY: What is one thing you would like to learn? Good question! I hope to invest in a nice camera before the baby is born so I can take LOADS of pics. So, I'd love to be able to learn how to take pics well using a DSLR, or something similar.

p.s. I picked Tuesday to announce, as it coincided with the start of the 2nd tri, but also it's Flag Day... which I have joked about forever as being my favorite holiday (what I would put down on those old school email surveys). So, some people will get a kick out of it.

12 weeks! Yay! Though I know really I have 2 more weeks, this is the end of first tri in my head. So I'm rejoicing!

How big is baby?
A ripe apricot, a roborovski hamster, or a toy soldier.

Anything going on this week?

Our NT scan is tomorrow at 3pm. Can't wait!!!

Rants/Raves/Questions..

I woke up with vertigo and dizziness again...yay for first trimester circulatory system changes. I'm still feeling a bit off, but hopefully it will clear up soon. On the bright side, it's looking like DH and I probably didn't pick up hand, foot, and mouth disease from DD. Seriously I've caught like every one of her bugs since she started daycare. With a suppressed-pregnancy immune system, it's a miracle I haven't gotten this (watch me eat my words in 12 hours lol).

GTKY: What is one thing you would like to learn?

To play the banjo. I'll probably force my children to learn it so I can hear banjo music on demand.

Nothing baby related. We got our NIPT results last week and found out we're having a girl - I'm still in shock. Every sign pointed towards boy, similar pregnancy as DS and, honestly, I was wanting a boy so still wrapping our heads around it!

I've been way more tired the last week than the entire 1st-tri so hoping that passes soon!

I'd like to learn Spanish

Got my NIPT results back this morning, all low risk! Nurse should be calling me back with the sex of the baby by the end of the week!

Also, this is my last week of coaching volleyball practice. On Friday, I drive down to Orlando (7 hours) for our last tournament that's 4 days long. But I'm more worried about having to stop every hour on the drive to pee!

GTKY: What is one thing you would like to learn?
I don't know, but everything I want to learn right now is all about the baby, and what to do when it comes! I literally cannot stop reading baby stuff online, I think I should go to a class.

15 weeks! Idk why but that number makes me feel 'really pregnant'..

baby is the size of an avacado.

Nothing fun going on this week, but we're less than a month away from the anatomy scan, so that's really exciting.

My hips are so tilted that the glute pain is unreal when walking.

I would love to learn how to quilt. And sew. And weave.

How far along are you? 15 weeks! We jumped ahead at last week's appointment because baby is measuring larger, so whoopwhoop!

How big is baby? An avocado, a naval orange, or, get this, a multi-tool. Um. Ow?

Anything going on this week? NOTHING BUT HEADACHES. MY LIFE IS HEADACHES. I found myself literally begging for the 24/7 first-tri nausea this weekend. Surely that was more functional than this? I had migraines pre-preg and don't know how I managed to avoid them til this weekend but THEY ARE BACK WITH THEIR EVIL. What do I dooooo? (Seriously, suggestions welcome).

On a much less dramatic note - today is wedding anniversary #7 for DH and I. D'awwww.

GTKY: What is one thing you would like to learn? To knit. My brother's lady love has promised to teach me.

Anything going on this week? Not pregnancy related, but today I am selling my "single lady" house that I owned for 9 years. It is bittersweet.

Rants/Raves/Questions.. This weekend we had a 90+ degree day so we turned on the central air conditioning for the first time (bought the house mid December). Unfortunately it is completely dead. Guess I know what we are going to be spending the money from the sale of my house on!

GTKY: What is one thing you would like to learn? I'd love to take opera lessons.

Rants/Raves/Questions..I can't wait for this week to be over. Our families clash a lot when their together so a wedding will have some sort of shit show at some point. I told my brother I'm skating out early and he told me he hopes him and his bride can do the same. Haha

GTKY: What is one thing you would like to learn? Spanish. I live in a community with a lot of people that speak Spanish and I think it would help my job so much.

Anything going on this week? OB Appointment on Wednesday. We are also booking our doula and putting a deposit down for daycare for the new little one.

Rants/Raves/Questions.. The daycare is the same place DS1 goes to so I thought I had some time, but they already can't get us in until September 2017! Grandmas will watch from March-September thank goodness.

GTKY: What is one thing you would like to learn? I would love to be able to dance (well), but I don't see that ever happening. My 1 year old has better rhythm than me

@Morgan400 Looking at day cares in town is at the top of my list. I don't even know where to start, and know that some book out MONTHS in advance. It also doesn't help that I am not sure the length of my mat leave. I know I get close to the 12 weeks, so may just have to select a start date for daycare and go with it, even if I am not working yet. And the cost... ugh! My mom is off in the summers, as she works for the schools, and does plan on retiring soon. But, that could still be a could years away and don't want to bank on her to watch the baby.

Rants/Raves/Questions.. I thought morning sickness was supposed to get better 2nd trimester, not worse! I woke up feeling awful today, and by the time I got to work I was pale, dizzy, and over a toilet. Throwing up is not kind to my body, at all. Still slightly nauseous, but mostly my body hurts from puking. I should mention that I've had waves of nausea, but I've only puked twice this entire pregnancy.

GTKY: What is one thing you would like to learn? Snow board

How big is baby?: Baby is...a lemony jalapeno. Spicy baby.

Anything going on this week?: I'm sure there is, but since becoming pregnant I can't remember shizz.

Rants/Raves/Questions.: I'm excited about contacting our maternity/newborn photographer. She is in high demand so we have to make our appointments as soon as we hit the 2nd trimester, even though we won't take photos until the 3rd trimester.

GTKY: What is one thing you would like to learn?: I have always wanted to learn how to play the violin.

Kacie209 Yea the infant daycare situation can be a little crazy in some areas (and not an issue in others). We lived in the city of Cincinnati when DS1 was born. I put his name on the waiting list at 7 places when I was in the 1st Trimester and none to let us know when or if he got a spot. We finally got one when he turned 6 months. From 3-6 months we had to drive 30 minutes out of our way to take him out the the suburbs where they had spots available--it made for a rough transition.

Some of the places are a little flexible on the exact start date. You can reserve yours spot based on your due date and then call them up when the baby is born to give them an exact start week. I do know that some people start them a week before they go back to work. Then you can transition with shorter days and have some hours to get some stuff done for yourself before returning to work.
