Rants/Raves/Questions?
The boys were each 2 pounds, 7 ounces on Thursday. I've got over 5 pounds of baby inside me!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
I can't breathe. Baby B is laying with his butt and feet up in my right lung/diaphragm and it's making me even more short of breath than usual (I have asthma and with two babies in there, things are pretty crowded).

1. I played ice hockey in high school (only girl to ever play on my school's team). I played left wing.
2. I'm double jointed and extremely flexible (normally, not so much right now!) thanks to a congenital connective tissue disorder.
It's a blessing and a curse. It's fun, great for yoga, easily impresses my nieces and nephews, but it also means I sprain/strain joints and tear muscles and sometimes ligaments easily because I'm so noodley.
3. I've never changed a diaper or fed a baby. Ever.
I'm the youngest child in my family, so no baby siblings to practice on, and only one of my friends has had a baby (never been asked to help with caring for her). My SIL has four kids (she had her youngest when I was 17 and DH, then BF, was 18 and they're all aged 10 to 16 now), but they live an hour away, so I was never called on for babysitting duty with them, either. I babysat quite a bit in middle and high school, but always older kids.

Upcoming appointments? Thursday starts the cervix checks. DH is getting progressively nervous with how I've been feeling so Thursday can't come soon enough.
Rants/Raves/Questions? If Oliver would move out of my pelvis, I'd be so extremely grateful! Also, I'm officially getting nervous about my c-section. This happened with the first two and the anxiety kept increasing throughout 3rd tri. Ugh.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Craving - cookie cake.

1 - I graduated high school planning on getting my college degree in psychology. I ended up with a degree in computer networking and telecommunications.
2 - If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be a giant stuffes baked potato from Space Aliens. Which, of course, doesn't exist in Texas.
3 - We have two mini doxies and two cats. If I had my way though and money and space weren't an issue, I'd adopt every animal that I possibly could.

1. DH and I got married at 19 and we had our first baby when I was 20
2. I joined the Air Force a month after graduating high school and I'm still working on my bachelors degree. I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.
3. I love football more than I think I should and DH and I have already started smack talking about this upcoming fantasy football season. I may or may not kick his ass every year. Hehe

GTKY: 3 randoms about you. I make jewelry, loom knit, crochet and draw in my spare time. I took two courses in ASL several years ago, and would love to become fluent someday. I lived in Massachusetts until I was 12, and then I moved to California.

Upcoming appointments? Midwife next week, then I think we'll be going to every 3 week appointments, which is exciting.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I am LOVING feeling baby girl kick super hard (I'm sure that will pass when she lacerates my kidney), and DH has finally felt it for himself and the big grin he got on his face was the best thing I've ever seen, and then he immediately teared up because he said that was the moment that it became "real" for him. It was a super super sweet moment.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? The bakery in my village makes the most AMAZING stuffed croissants, my favourite is the feta and roasted garlic. I have had one a day for the last week, they're just soooo good.

1.) I'm allergic to raw tomatoes, not cooked, only raw. Total anaphylaxis.
2.) I broke 3/5 toes on my right foot jumping off a waterfall when I was 14, and I still have no sensation in them.
3.) I have a serious phobia about spiders. I went through a period when I was 18 where I would have anxiety attacks thinking about the saying "you're never more than 6 feet away from a spider", and had to have in depth counselling for 2 years. I still freak out when I see one but I don't have a full blown panic attack thinking there might be a spider somewhere in my house.

1. I can communicate in 3.5 languages. Fluent in Spanish, English and French. I have basic knowledge of ASL.

Upcoming appointments? The hospital makes me go in for level II ultrasound/appointments every 4-6 weeks on top of my monthly OB appointments so that is at the end of the month.
Rants/Raves/Questions? The reflux! OMG - I have never had it before and this is pretty serious. Dairy and chocolate seems to make it worse.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Anything that gives me reflux is now on the no-no list. No cravings - honestly I haven't been very hungry in the last few weeks.

1. Of all the things I miss with being pregnant, it's hot yoga. And smoked salmon.
2. I like to dress up my dog in ridiculous things I find around the house, take pictures, and send them to my husband.
3. I hate driving. We live in a highly walkable area and I love it.

Rants/Raves/Questions? FIL just offered us the use of two of his kayaks for the summer! Can pregnant ladies kayak? We'd be on a super calm lake, in long, stable kayaks. I seriously see no reason why I couldn't. I know I have to just check with my OB but I'm worried she'll say no and I'll never be able to convince DH that it's OK. Ugh!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Sooooo exhausted lately. Maybe because I'm also nursing a cold? I could sleep for days at this point.

1. I've been to 47 states--the only ones I have left to visit are Hawaii, Alaska, and North Dakota.
2. I took one semester of a masters degree in Writing for Children and Young Adults, but dropped out once I saw how expensive the total program would become. And the degree is probably about as valuable job-wise as my useless English BA. Probably should've done that math before dropping 10k on a single semester...
3. I have an enormous chest. Have to special order bras. I've been waiting since puberty to finish having babies and breastfeeding so that I can get these suckers lopped off!
