Cord fell off, now what?

hello! 
I'm a FTM so it's all new to me. His cord naturally fell off today and I tried googling what next but there's a lot of different opinions so I wanted to ask the moms here. Some say put a bandaid on it, some say peroxide on qtip, some say nothing.
What do you do for after care?

    I never did any after care after my sons fell off

    No advice since I'm also a FTM (and still pregnant). Just wanted to say that's the cutest newborn pic ever!

    We dabbed at it with a cotton ball dipped in warm water. Very gently. I don't really think it was necessary, but it's what our nurse told us to do, so we did it.

    We didn't do a thing with DS's when it fell off. I was just happy I could bathe him a not worry about it anymore.

    Just leave it alone. Your ped will probably check it out and maybe clean it a little, but it'll be fine without any special attention.

    You don't need to do anything. BUT, my pediatrician said if it looks goopy, put a little dab of rubbing alcohol on it.

    As long as it remains dry, you don't have to do much.  If the majority of it came off but there is still scabby stuff in the belly button just keep it clean and dry and gently wipe off any pieces of scabbing that comes loose the next few days.

    LO's just fell off and it's pretty goopy with some left inside so I'm glad you posted this. We have an appointment in a couple days so we may just let the pedi clean it out.

    LO's fell off today too and had the same boppy stuff.  Expose it to air for a few hours to dry up. It's just part two of cord healing.  Our pediatrician said not to clean it with anything.  Just to put baby in a T-shirt instead of a onsie so it can really dry out and keep the diaper from covering it still.

    Jumping on here to ask if this looks normal? My DD's fell off at 4 days old & looked nothing like this. This is today of my 2 week old son.

    Yup mine son's looked like that yesterday.  Let it stay exposed to air and dry out. Careful with tummy time at this point though.  He spent a lot of time on his tummy today, between sleeping on me, being held and actual tummy time for neck muscles, it stick to the onsie and pulled at it a bit.  I now keep him in either a onsie that's pulled up for T-shirt

    Thank you @adiaz132003! I also called & asked his Dr & he said it was normal as well. Lol I feel like a FTM all over again.
