Is anyone else tired of random strangers and people you barely know asking you extremely personal questions and making judgmental comments about your pregnancy?!?! Questions/Comments I have gotten from random strangers include but are not limited to;
"Oh, so it was a surprise?" (After telling a woman, at my mom's insistence, that my other kids are 17, 14 and 12, this is my husband's and my first together)
"Are you doing natural or C-section?"
"Is it a boy or a girl?" no big deal until it's followed with "Oh! Are you happy about that?"
"Are you nervous about childbirth?"
Or the never-ending need for random strangers to touch you, whether they ask or not!!! Gah!
What are some of the more invasive questions you have gotten from complete strangers or people you barely know? Maybe it will help me feel a little less rage-ish... lol
Re: Stop Asking Me Personal Questions!!! I've Never Even Seen You Before!!
"are you done after this one?" And "this is your last, right?" (It's our third)

I got asked:
If we got pregnant on purpose
Who the dad was (while I was wearing my wedding rings)
If I was going to deliver vaginally (asked by a man)
Was I going to use the drugs? Then was berated because you "don't get a medal for natural childbirth)
Are we circumcising? (We've gotten that a few times, my dad actually threatened to get it done without us)
How much weight have I gained? (I've gained fuck you pounds and go die in a fire ounce)
That's not including the random grabbing, groping, massaging, rubbing, etc, and the comments on our name and my physical appearance. Oh, and his grandmother LOVINGLY reminding me that I'm diluting his bloodline and destroying his cultural heritage. Super sorry I'm Irish, but he proposed to me, Slagathor.
I just keep saying 'oh we've got a few we're still considering' and then change the subject. Do people not know that parents often don't tell the name before the baby's due?
Not too much from strangers. I guess I give off a 'don't talk to me' vibe while in public
Just because I am pregnant does not mean the size, shape, condition, positioning or utilization of my boobs is up for discussion, thank you.
I am also just finding out its bad to order coffee...I go to Tim Hortons eve morning for a small coffee...just figured people did research before they judged...you can have 200mg a.day...geez!
We told my in laws we were expecting at around 6 weeks and my sister in law walked up to me and leaned in towards my belly and put both hands on it and started rubbing. AT SIX WEEKS. It was so awkward. Here I am at 38 weeks and I basically have to shove her away because she keeps trying to touch my belly even though I've told her not to.
My sister actually had an elderly woman come up to her cart in the grocery store and try to pick my niece up to hold her when she was a few months old. My sister lost it on her and the lady was genuinely offended! "I just wanted to hold her, she is so cute!". No! You don't get to even TOUCH my baby without my permission let alone pick her up randomly in the middle of a store!
