I think I am feeling some movements

RLP is annoying. I caved and bought a Doppler. It takes me a little bit, but both times I have used it I have found the heartbeat. I'm trying not to cave and use it too often between appointments.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: nothing really right now

Questions? Just curious where others do their a/s - OB or MFM? At my OBs office its case by case. My friend who also sees my OB has it done in the office there. For me, however, my OB says bc I'm on synthroid, she can send me over to MFM where they have better machines and techs who do them. What's everyone else's experience?

GTKY: Anything exciting going on this week? I fly out for a conference on Friday. I guess that's exciting. I was hoping I'd have more energy by now though. I have a feeling I'll be falling asleep during the lectures.

@BLyn627 - My MFM wanted me to do my a/s through his office. I didn't ask why because I didn't really care, so I don't know if there was a specific reason or not. I am glad to be doing it this way, though. I have much more confidence in the radiologists in his office, since they see all the possible things that can go wrong all the time. To my pgal brain, they are more likely to catch something that is slightly off, or a little bit concerning, since they see it all.

Hi again ladies! I've been MIA for a few weeks due to work craziness/overtime and being exhausted, but things are finally slowing down, and I hope to be around more.

Weeks: 15

Next milestone/appointment? Ultrasound on Friday to check cervical length

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I can't wait to find out the baby's sex. With my daughter, I knew it was a girl from day 1. It was kind of weird actually. This time, I am kind of leaning toward boy, but I'm not sure like I was with my daughter. I'm dying to know!

Questions? Nada.

GTKY: Anything exciting going on this week? I started my new job in January, and my life has been so hectic and stressful since then. My PGAL brain has me constantly worried that I'm too stressed, and it's going to harm the baby. But... I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. My team and I have a huge deadline on Friday, and after that, things are going to slow down tremendously. I can't wait to have more time to relax, spend with my family, and SLEEP!

@BLyn627 - My a/s will be done at my MFM's office. I'm not sure if that is standard or not. I've already been having bi-weekly ultrasounds with my MFM due to incompetent cervix, so they are going to do the a/s there as well.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: i woke up this morning feeling like my belly is a little smaller than it has been.

Questions?

GTKY: Anything exciting going on this week? We are going to the farmers market tonight. Going to check out a huge rummage sale with lots of baby stuff tomorrow and then we are starting our registry on Saturday.

@blyn627 all of my ultrasounds are with the OB. The only time I will go to MFM for a better one is if there is anything to be concerned about. My loss was a blighted ovum, so my guess is because it was pretty straightforward with no complications and no continued risk factors they are treating this pregnancy normal.

@BLyn627 my anatomy scan will be at the hospital's fetal imaging center. I'm not sure my OB office does a/s in office. They did the dating ultrasound (transvaginal) at 8 weeks in their office.

Weeks: 16 w today

Next milestone/appointment? Had a check-in yesterday and heard baby's heartbeat. Next milestone is previous due date which was June 30

Rant/Rave/Anything else: No

Questions? Anyone else have allergies? If so, what are you taking? Mine hit hard late last week and haven't let up. Dr yesterday recommended Zyrtec, which seems to have helped since I took it yesterday afternoon, but it's wearing off and is a 24 hour med so I can't take anything else yet.

GTKY: Anything exciting going on this week? Not really

@BLyn627 My first pregnancy (mc) I was going through a smaller midwife practice and they only did 1st trimester transvaginal u/s in office and the rest were at an imaging center which is also where they did my viability scan (no idea what MFM stands for so I don't know if it's the same thing). The practice has since closed and some of the midwives moved to a larger OB/GYN practice and I followed them there so this pregnancy my 9w and 20w u/s are in the office.

I'm late to the party again! Better late than never right?

@BLyn627 I started out with the RE. They did 3 ultrasounds before I graduated to the OB. My OB has ultrasound machines on site so they do them. I don't have a MFM(honestly didn't even know what this was until recently) so I see the OB for everything outside of emergencies when it comes to baby.

Weeks: 19

Next milestone/appointment? Just had my anatomy scan yesterday which may be my last ultrasound. Do they do any more in 3rd tri? I don't have a clue. Next appointment is July 5th which will just be a standard OB visit but I'll get my stuff for the GD test at that appointment for the one after that.

Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm amazed that I'm still here! Or anatomy scan was amazing! Baby is growing right on track and everything looks wonderful. Baby was facing my left and head down(I was curious so I asked) and estimated about 9oz.

Questions? I'm just curious about the ultrasounds. I've only really had one alignment so far that hasn't included an ultrasound so I'm kinda sad to not get to see baby again before birth but I guess that's not necessarily bad since that also means nothing is wrong, right?

GTKY: Anything exciting going on this week? Nothing out of the ordinary really... Mostly working. Boo!

Ive posted once or twice on this convo but never introduced myself. My name is Alex this is pregnancy #8 baby #4 my last loss was in January and I got pregnant again not on purpose in February so this pregnancy has been hard to accept but the further I go the better it gets.

Next milestone/appointment? Anatomy scan 6/22

Rant/Rave/Anything else: This pregnancy has been really tough physically and mentally but now that I can feel movement I'm starting not to stress out as much and enjoy it.

GTKY: Anything exciting going on this week?
My son is doing playoffs for baseball and his last game to determine 1st or 2nd place is in Saturday. DH is the manager and I'm scorekeeper/team mom so it's a big deal for us.
