What is next? (Appointments, milestones)? I have the diabetes informational class on Friday and then my appointment on Monday.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? heartburn, insomnia, restless legs, and hip pain have really kicked in this past week. It's gonna be another glorious 9 weeks I can already tell.
Questions?
GTKY: If you could be any kind of animal, what would you be and why? monkeys seem pretty cool, I think I could get down with that. Swinging from trees and eating bananas.
Size of baby (fruit/veggie/etc)? Baby is the size of a New England Cottontail Rabbit
What is next? (Appointments, milestones)? Next appt. is June 17th.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? Heartburn/acid in the throat is horrible! Waking numerous times at night and not being able to fall back asleep is right up there also.
Questions? Not today
GTKY: If you could be any kind of animal, what would you be and why? I would choose a dolphin. They are highly intelligent, playful, and social. They are one of like 3 mammals who have sex for more than just reproduction, they almost always only have 1 baby at a time (not litters), and have excellent vision. Add that to the fact that I love water and swimming...it would be great!
Size of baby (fruit/veggie/etc)? Squash - though I'm buying into these comparisons less and less. The doctor estimated her weight at 4 lbs. 4 oz. yesterday and said she's around 15 inches long.
What is next? (Appointments, milestones)? Well, we had our last u/s yesterday to confirm baby's position (she's finally decided to go head down - and I felt every painful second of her flipping. . . not fun).
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? Since baby flipped head down a few days ago I'm now having a ton of discomfort in my lady bits (I guess pelvic floor would be the more technical terminology). Aside from that and just feeling gigantic, not much.
Questions?
GTKY: If you could be any kind of animal, what would you be and why? Hmm... that's a hard one. Probably a bird or a whale. . . both migrate and therefore get to see a lot of different places/things. I'm a travel-bug so that appeals to me.
@WinnieLou82 - hope baby un-breaches soon Our little one just flipped head-down two days ago. My doctor told me I wouldn't feel it when it happened. . . I felt every second of it and it was not fun.
@DressageDarling - a sloth's lifestyle does sound extremely appealing right now
Size of baby (fruit/veggie/etc)? large jicama or naked tail armadillo
What is next? (Appointments, milestones)? Follow up on Friday with the dietician about my first week of glucose testing/GD diet, plus an u/s to check growth. And baby shower on Saturday. So much to look forward to!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? Aside from the usual (aching hips/back, constipation, tiredness), my voice has gone all hoarse and raspy. I sound like a preteen boy going through puberty. Apparently this is common in pregnancy... Who knew?
Questions?
GTKY: If you could be any kind of animal, what would you be and why? A house cat for the same logic as @DressageDarling. Right now, I'd be content to nap all day and be petted and fed.
Whats next?: I have my 32 week appt tomorrow morning. I'm a little nervous as this was about the time I became high risk with my daughter, and was automatically high risk at this point with my second because of pre e with number 1. But so far this has been my easiest pregnancy, so I'm hoping my body has finally figured it out lol.
Fruit/Veggie: App says zucchini, dr says measuring a week ahead of that (over 3.5 lbs)
Next?: Friday appointment with dietician about diabetes. Next MFM checkup in mid-July. Trying to get the house organized and the nursery painted while writing a dissertation chapter in the next six weeks. I may be in over my head...
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Heartburn, trouble keeping my fasting glucose levels low, pain in hips and groin tendons. Also, my two hour naps have suddenly morphed into three hour naps and late wake up times in the AM, making my days super short on productivity. Plus the emotional rollercoaster ride means I am snapping at DH at least once per day.
Questions? Anyone else taking a longer time to "warm up" when it comes to sex? It seems like it takes so much longer, or else it is painful.
Animal? Usually my answer would be different, but a dog. Fed, cared for, petted, and able to nap and play. Plus able to run. I miss running. Oh, and I wouldn't have to be slathered with sunscreen to step outside. Cat sounds pretty good too, but might involve thinking too much.
Re: Wednesday Ticker Change
Size of baby (fruit/veggie/etc)? Squash
What is next? (Appointments, milestones)? Maternity pictures this weekend. I think another appointment next week.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? Starting to get morning sickness again.
Questions?
GTKY: If you could be any kind of animal, what would you be and why?
Probably a sloth. I could get behind that lifestyle right now.
Size of baby (fruit/veggie/etc)? a pomelo, a jicama or a squash
What is next? (Appointments, milestones)? child birth classes start next week.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? She's still breech!
Questions? Nope.
GTKY: If you could be any kind of animal, what would you be and why? A dolphin. Swim and play all day!
Size of baby (fruit/veggie/etc)? zucchini
