How far along are you? 14 weeks! Officially second trimester!

How big is baby? A large lemon, peach or beet.

Appointments this week? I have one next Tuesday. It's my first "regular" ultrasound - no more trans-vag for this girl. DH is coming so it'll be exciting for him to see the baby live and in action.

Symptom changes? With the onset of second tri a few new symptoms have popped up. Most noticeably increased discharge, difficulty sleeping and thicker hair. I'm hoping the sleeping is only a problem because I'm in a hotel this week....

Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm not really sure if this is a rant or a rave haha. My family (parents & siblings) have given the baby the nickname BDub (Baby Last Name starts with W). My husband has fully embraced this - I'm more so just hoping it doesn't continue after the baby is born lol.

GTKY: (stolen from TTC) Do you and your SO have a song? If so what is it and is there a strong behind it? Our song is "You Are the Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne. It was our first dance song and he's an artist we discovered together. Another song that holds a lot of memories for us is "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC. When we were first dating it was the alarm on my phone it would scare the crap out of DH when he would spend the night lol. It was the song we entered our reception to.

How far along are you? 12 weeks, yay!

How big is baby? A plum (or hamster, or green army man, or apricot)

Appointments this week? None, but I am waiting to get my results back from the genetic testing, I can call my doctor's office tomorrow to check! Team green though, so no updates on that, hopefully they don't spill the beans!

Symptom changes? Overall I'm less exhausted, but still very moody. It may not be helpful that work has been a huge stress lately.

Rant/Rave/Questions? Rant - My BF and I recently got kayaks as gifts for each of our birthdays, we thought it would be a great way to get outside and get some exercise together all summer, we've been loving it so far. WELL, yesterday was his younger sister's anniversary and her husband bought her a kayak (he didn't also get one, just her) so she sends us a text that says "I can join you guys now!" I have to say, I was super annoyed, and so was my BF. His family is very "involved", they're wonderful and fun, but they want to spend every waking moment together and they all live within a 5 minute drive of us. For instance, my BF loves to golf with his buddies for some "guy time", that same sister took up golf and now goes almost every time they do, so he's not really getting time with his friends. It's a petty thing, I know, but I don't understand why we can't just have something that we enjoy by ourselves....it doesn't always have to be a group activity! **rant over**

GTKY: (stolen from TTC) Do you and your SO have a song? If so what is it and is there a strong behind it? Running by James Bay would be what I consider "our song". He loves to listen to Spotify and send me songs that he finds that make him think of me, this was the first song he ever sent me. It was meaningful because he was constantly traveling back then and the song touches on "running to the place where I belong". I'm a big sap, I just love it.

How far along are you? 12 weeks! Still waiting for a cute bump, only seeing bloat right now.

How big is baby? A plum.

Appointments this week? Tomorrow hubby and I go in for the NT & first time hearing the heartbeat

Symptom changes? Cravings aren't as strong.

Rant/Rave/Questions? Rant - daycare is going to be crazy expensive! And I'm already having a hard time thinking about leaving the baby in someone else's care, I feel like I'm going to miss out on so much. I wish the US offered better (any) paid leave.

Happy Thursday everyone!

How far along are you? 13 weeks!

How big is baby? A peach! (or a blowfish - hi Nemo!, a jalapeno, or a lemon)

Appointments this week? This afternoon I get to meet the midwife! I have already had two ultrasounds and I hope today I get some testing, this will be my first visit to this doctor's office.

Symptom changes? I've been feeling good lately. I have had allergies though and my left eye has puffed up, not sure what that is about. Mostly GI issues at this point, eh.

Rant/Rave/Questions? Yesterday we posted our announcement on facebook and I told my team at work today and the reaction has been so great. I feel so lucky to have such kind supportive people in my life.

GTKY: (stolen from TTC) Do you and your SO have a song? If so what is it and is there a strong behind it? I'm not sure we have a song. DH and I have such a different taste in music. When we first started dating (2004) it would have been "So I Need You" by 3 Doors Down. Our wedding song was "Forever" by Ben Harper. DH refuses to dance ever, so it's kind of useless to have a song for us haha.

Appointments this week? I have one next Thursday. Will see baby on ultrasound!

Symptom changes? Exhaustion has let up. Having some mild headaches lately, but nothing too terrible.

Rant/Rave/Questions? It's weird but I've been burping like crazy.

GTKY: (stolen from TTC) Do you and your SO have a song? If so what is it and is there a strong behind it? Our song is "Truly Madly Deeply" by Savage Garden. I picked it and DH thinks its cheesy, but I love it and he goes along with it because it makes me happy

How far along are you? 11 weeks

How big is baby? Lime, donut hole, golf ball.

Appointments this week? None upcoming. I did get a bunch of blood drawn on Tuesday, so I might call the OB to see if they've got the results in yet.

Symptom changes? Holy need to pee every ten minutes.

Rant/Rave/Questions? Not really. I got to hear baby's heartbeat on Monday, so that was absolutely fantastic. And I'm excited to get my first ultrasound done on the 21st and make this pregnancy Facebook official!

GTKY: We don't really have one specifically. Both A Hundred Years by Five for Fighting and The Luckiest are sort of "ours," but come on. They're just great relationship songs in general.

How far along are you? 14 weeks

How big is baby? Lemon, peach

Appointments this week? I have one next Thursday, but it's the super quick kind of appointment. Our hospital does gender scans at 18 weeks for $50, not sure when the anatomy scan will be. If they won't do anatomy scan til 20 weeks, we might do the 18 week scan. I'll have to find out scheduling for all of that at this next appointment.

Symptom changes? I've developed the dark line on my belly. I've been super hungry lately but nothing sounds good, so that's been fun.

Rant/Rave/Questions? Just excited to find out the gender! I had thought we would have the NIPT test, but my OB hasn't been very reliable in following up with us on our genetic testing questions. I can't change at this point though because there's a huge patient:doctor ratio in our area. Too many pregnant ladies, not enough OB's. Some have had to go out of town or even out of state to find a doctor. I am not riding that crazy train when I have an OB at a hospital 15 minutes away from my house.

GTKY: (stolen from TTC) Do you and your SO have a song? If so what is it and is there a strong behind it? We have two "songs." One of them is Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love." The other is Bobby Vinton's "Over and Over." We love the oldies and the classics. Plus I'm a Memphis native, though I don't live there anymore. An Elvis song was a given.

How big is baby? Navel Orange or apple

Appointments this week? None until the end of the month.

Symptom changes? I am now supper grouchy with the dogs. Everything they do just builds and I explode, but I'm still angered even after I lose it. I'm blaming hormones.

Rant/Rave/Questions? I don't get my AS until after 22 weeks. I'm pissed.

How far along are you? 15 Weeks

How big is baby? Orange

Appointments this week? I had one on Monday. We heard the heartbeat which was a relief. Next appointment is our AS at 18w 5d!

Symptom changes? I'm less tired overall but still have random days where I'm exhausted for no reason. Acne is still going strong. Getting harder to hide my blump, which used to flatten out in the mornings and now doesn't.

Rant/Rave/Questions? How many of you still haven't told work? I am thinking I'll have to tell soon but am not motivated to do so.

GTKY: (stolen from TTC) Do you and your SO have a song? If so what is it and is there a strong behind it? I would say our wedding song but I don't actually know the name of it... DH picked it out. I wanted to dance to I Choose You by Sarah Berellis (sp?) but it was too fast.

Appointments this week? 4D ultrasound tomorrow to find out the sex!!!

Then anatomy scan on the 27th

Symptom changes? increased discharge and I noticed that when I work out my heart rate goes up fairly easy. Other than that feeling great....just tired but not as bad as during the 1st trimester

Rant/Rave/Questions? Nah....

GTKY: (stolen from TTC) Do you and your SO have a song? If so what is it and is there a strong behind it? NOPE!! lol We danced to "You and Me" by Lighthouse? Maybe idk, at our wedding but we don't really have a song. LOL DH says its Eminem's "Crazy in Love", which was pretty accurate at the beginning of our relationship.

How big is baby? a multi-tool, an orange, or a yellow canary

Appointments this week? None for me this week yet, but I'm going to schedule a f/u with my gp about a couple questions I have

Symptom changes? Indigestion!!!! oh my gosh it sucks, if I don't eat breakfast I want to puke and if I do m stomach erupts in a volcanic gurgle all morning. Also: sleep, I'm having terrible back pain (I have since I knew I was KTFU and it shouldn't be my mattress because we got a new one that has waaay better support) so I bought a snoogle today and I hope that will help...so far the only relief I get is on my couch on my back
