Re: April/May IF success group

  • @Tulips29 No, they are not... I haven't gotten any for about a week, so it's almost a little weird for me. I've been doing kicks and squats after my shot to help get things moving which seems to help.

    I'm so glad you got to see the heartbeat! That's wonderful wonderful goodness! I love the idea of your Father's Day announcement too.

  • Been lurking and am now confidently joining this thread...it's so good to see so many familiars and super happy for everyone.

    -What road did you take to get your BFP (ie IUI, IVF, etc)? after failed attempts of everything else- IVF w/ FET on May 9.  Transferred 2; first ultrasound yesterday SAW 1 strong heartbeat at 135 bpm at 6 weeks + 5 days.  U/S tech says they'll add doppler for sound around week 10.

    -When is your due date? January 24, 2017

    -Anything else you want to share? 1st: This incredible journey was made easier with the support of everyone here. No one else knows the pain, joy, relief, etc this sisterhood actually goes through.  Thank you gals.

    Although we transferred 2, and were prepared to have twins, I'm over the moon with my 1 Baby Sumo. (DH and I are neither sumo wrestlers nor Japanese, "Sumo" is just our term of love).  I struggled with the decision to transfer 1 or 2, since we only had 2 embryos, and decided on 2 because I would rather have twins than pulling myself out of the gutter if the first or second transfer didn't take.  And now I know, one of them would probably have been unsuccessful.  I had bright red blood droplets a couple of times, which MAY have been Baby 2; RE says in any case, a trip to

    My RE is keeping me until week 12 and will begin to ween me off meds around week 10 and will be seeing me every 2 weeks until then.

    Symptoms have been at bay so far. Fatigue really hits me around 4 or 5, occasionally with a rocking headache.  I don't call it nausea as much as general discomfort/disgust at times.  Cravings....are hitting DH like crazy! I'm going to have to tell him if he puts on more weight than me, I'm going to trade him in for a younger, lighter model. So far, no weight gain - but I sure as hell can't suck in my gut anymore.

    I'll spare everyone with just this for now...

    @susykat77 Woohoo! that's so great!

    I did decide to go home early from work today. I napped for about two hours but have only just now started to feel better. My fever got up to 99.6 but has been dropping since it spiked. Thank goodness I have an understanding boss that let me leave early!

    I just heard and saw the heartbeat. I will be discharged to my ob in a week. The due date I got on the online calculator was accurate. For now my challenge is finding clothes that don't emphasize my bloating. We are not telling the news to most people for a while. Only our immediate family and a few close friends know.  I look forward to following everyone else's news in the coming weeks.
  • @dragonfaerie oh no, that blows. Hope you get lots of rest and feel better soon!

    @LynnNJ that's awesome, congrats!

  • @LynnNJ that is so exciting!
    @dragonfaerie sorry you weren't feeling well. Glad you had a better night last night.

    My appointment went great. We're having twins. Baby A is measuring 7w 2d, Baby B is measuring 6w 4d. We saw the heartbeats but I didn't get the bpm. We have another appointment next week where we will see the bpm. I'm so excited! I was told my OB appointment will be sometime around week 10. I forgot to ask for my due date but I'm sticking to what the apps say.

    @wishingforluck Twins!! Congrats!!
    @dragonfaerie enjoy the time with your friend!
    @lynnnj finding clothes that covers the bloating is so hard! I wore horizontal stripes today, mistake - I'm pretty sure I look pregnant b/c of the bloating. I feel like the meds make the bloating so much worse for us. I kind of feel gross.
    @susykat77 I'm glad everything is well!
    @sumo2519 welcome!
    @tulips29 I'm glad everything was okay!

    I have been missing in action except for a few hours on Monday - my niece and nephew are in town, they stay with my parents for the whole summer. They are exhausting.

    We have our next scan tomorrow - it was supposed to be yesterday but my husband had a conflict- I can not wait. We will be 8w5d, I am really hoping we will hear the hesrt beat!! My PIO injection sites are not happy, it's so itchy and it's almost like the skin is a bit numb or tingly to the touch. We have been alternating sides each night. I will be happy to be done - it sounds like I will be on it through 12 weeks and the blood thinners might be longer. The blood thinners I do not mind as much, but my stomach is so bruised there is no way I will be wearing a bikini this summer - not that any of them would fit me anymore.

  • @vssbrm nope, don't think it'll ever end. I do the same thing and reassure myself that everything will be ok, then I get to the doctor's office and start freaking out. The worst is when I'm sitting in the room waiting for the doctor to walk in, just staring that u/s monitor. But you've got this! Everything will be ok and I've got my fingers crossed for you!

    FET #4 - October 2021 - BFP!!! - Due June 2022

  • So I may just be really paranoid but I just walked about 3 miles in 100 degree weather. I did take water with me and was drinking the entire time. I got home and was all flushed and felt dizzy. I know overheating is bad and now I'm worried I damaged something. I never passed out though.

    Hello Everyone! I was on my regular birth month club and wasn't sure where all of you went and I finally found the right page! I have my doctor appointment Monday to get my next ultrasound (almost 12 weeks). We are expecting TWINS which is beyond amazing. I want to be enjoying my pregnancy because Ive longed to get here for so long but I have felt so terrible this entire time. Is anyone else getting headaches and still taking injections? Are you beyond tired of them? Im sorry I just need to gripe to someone.

  • @Drove2u I think you'll be okay. I went to the Renaissance Festival on Saturday and definitely got warm, but as long as you drank water and didn't get sick (vomiting/passing out/etc.) I'm sure you are okay. Hugs!

    @cmmxv8 welcome. I hear you on the injections. Hopefully the time will fly by.

  • @Drove2u - I agree with @dragonfaerie. If you are feeling better by now, you probably just needed to rest. In the heat out here, I am definitely having to take it easier than normal. It just really wears you out!
    @cmmxv8 - It's great to see you on here! I'm still on the injections too and I am so over it! I only have until next Tuesday. It's hard b/c we have spend so much time getting to this point that I try to tell myself to be grateful for everything I feel b/c I've wanted this for so long. It's hard to tell though if I feel kinda crummy b/c of the shots and all of the meds or the actual pregnancy though!

  • @cmmxv8 Welcome and congrats on twins! I will be taking PIO, pills, and patches until almost 12 weeks and we're at 7 now. Definitely getting headaches once in a while for sure, too.

  • That darn PIO. I think I get to wean off of it this week!!!!
  • @Joyzie77 Yay for getting off the PIO!  I'm almost more excited to get off the patches though. The glue stays on my stomach for DAYS after I peel them off, so I look a bit quilted
