New Listeria item recall!

These four types of Nature Valley granola bars are being recalled for listeria. My husband got a call from my local grocery store advising us to throw out any nature valley bars. Of course I've been eating these like crazy and now I'm freaking out. I contacted my dr and I'm going in tm for a checkup to make sure everything is ok with LO. The main thing to watch for is fever and GI upset, and make sure to count fetal kicks so that's what I'll be doing all night. I never thought granola bars would be a risk?! Ugh!

Ugh, I eat Nature Valley bars all the time!! I haven't had those types - I stick to the crunchy bars - but now I'm freaked!

So much stuff has been recalled recently and it seems to be popular snacks and protein bars. I'm afraid to eat anything!

I never remember a time this many things have been recalled at the same time due to listeria.

Ugh nature valley bars are like my go to emergency food!! I buy them in bulk and always have them in my purse.

I heard a while ago that granola bars were affected, I just didn't know which brands. Figures......still have yet to hear about a case from deli meat ;-)

My plan is to eat all things UNHEALTHY lol. Not really but that is what is seems like we are being pushed to with all the recalls. Live on Mac -n- Cheese!!!

Right? If veggies and granola bars are the root of all things listeria, I'll stick with my ice cream and pasta thank you very much.

I eat these all the time, but we've been trying to save money, so we've been shopping at Aldi's. Aldi's has the exact same thing pretty much in their aldi brand - Hopefully those won't end up included!

Yes, Ive been eating the Clif bars recalled. Not sure what to do now.

I went to see my OB today and she gave me info on listeria and said to stay off google! Basically nothing will be done if you have no symptoms, if you do get upset stomach or fever then blood cultures will be drawn and antibiotics will be given. The scary part is it can take as long as 2 months for symptoms to show so she said be on the look out for any signs for 2 months but that most appear writhin 24hrs to 10days. Also if you notice any change in your baby's movement, like a decreas then to call. I read that no one has actually gotten sick from the granola bars yet but being pregnant gives us a higher chance at getting it. Soo lets hope we all stay symptom free!

@ThisisNumber3 My doctor emailed me this
"As long as you have not had any symptoms of Listeria, such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, then it was unlikely that you have been exposed. Please let us know if you have any additional questions."

So I'm guessing I shouldn't worry but .... now all of a sudden my stomach hurts... could totally be the brown rice I ate though!
