I posted this thinking of course I'd come up with my own but... I haven't... I'm a useless lump at the moment. The only thing that comes to mind is it looks like my placenta is posterior this time. It was anterior last time meaning little buffer for my organs and everything to guard against DS's punches and kicks and head butts. I know I didn't make that happen but I'm gonna claim it.
I'm working a 12 hour day and haven't had any crazy mood swings yet. I also haven't had a single staff member come into my office to complain about anyone all day....that may not be my doing directly, but I'm celebrating it.

my baby is finishing first grade this week and today was the class awards ceremony and she received 2 awards, I am so proud of her. okay so this is not a toot my own horn except that she is genetically mine
I finished designing our camper awards, and birthday and Christmas cards for our campers (we run a camp for "at-risk" kids). I've been procrastinating. I had my 1st midwife appointment today and heard my baby's heart beat for the first time! And I had a lunch date with my man!

between having lived in uganda and running an at risk youth camp I think you seem like a super interesting person
@R0824H You are one strong lady! I took an hour to drool on my couch earlier lol.
I just came back from a free filet mignon dinner complete with chocolate chip cheesecake because a new coworker wanted congratulate us on our little baby. I'm milking this thing for all it's worth haha.

wut. that's freaking amazing.
edited because I haz the dumb. Your new job? That's pretty sweet!
Jealous of the filet Mignon @dmontgo. You can keep the cheesecake (and before I'm set on for not liking cheesecake, there is one cheesecake I'll eat and that's my homemade NY style cheesecake).
I took all the projects my boss dumped on me today and finished them ON TIME. I also completed all of my normal work today. WIN!
I also survived TS Colin without losing power.

Don't worry--no penises were harmed to get free dinner.
I started my new job last week, and since the majority of the workers are ladies, it's a very supportive environment for me right now. So an executive invited us to dinner to congratulate us on or baby, talk about baby stuff, and some work stuff was sprinkled in. It was very kind of her, and I thanked her profusely in between juicy steak bites. It was the restaurant DH and I ate at after getting married, so it was really special for us.

That's maybe the nicest and most undeserving compliment I've ever received. Personally, I'm totally boring and "white bread", but we have had some adventures and running a camp is pretty out of the ordinary... It gets wild at times! The rest of the year I'm just a "normal" SAHM of 6 (7), homeschool and live fairly rurally (I'm a total homebody). But, thanks for making my day!!!
@maamawaabangiI agree. I have friends who are teachers working with "at risk" kids and they go to these camps and come back different, in a good way. You're helping change these kids' lives. That's something.

Oh my word. You guys... It's really amazing and a privilege to do what we do. And you're right it does make a huge difference for some kids! It keeps us doing hard stuff...
Now can someone explain how I tag someone @...??? I'm usually more adept, but for the life of me I can't figure this out on my phone!!!
I got into a writing workshop this October with one of my favorite authors and her husband, who also happens to be my dream agent and, incidentally, has the full manuscript of my novel for consideration right now. Stoked/terrified to meet them and work with them!

@maamawaabangiyou type in the @ and then the screen name of the person you want to tag. So if I wanted to tag dmontgo in something, I would put @ dmontgo (without the space). You should get something to pop on your phone so you don't have to write out the whole thing.

@phoenix870509 Oh golly, Yes, now I see it pop up and give me options! thank you for taking the time to help a lady out! Hugs.
Oh! I delivered a baby goat a week ago!!! Our goat went into labor and I assisted her. She did great. It was a hard labor, as the baby was a singleton and much bigger than her pervious twins. I totally had to resist the urge to interfer... The baby seemed stuck for a moment, but she managed just fine on her own and as always is a wonderful mama and cleaned him right up! It's a little buck and he's just precious!
I know it's not tuesday anymore but yesterday I help my tounge when I really wanted to tell someone how much of an idiot they were for not believing me the first time. The topic... that the life jacket they chose for a girl was way too big and would not function properly. I'm a lifeguard. I know these things.

theres a 50% chance your coworker is a female, and that makes this post all the more awkward.
