I'll start. My dog HATES me. Anytime I pick her up or force her to cuddle with me she squirms away. She also sits in the corner of our living room and just stares at me like I am the devil. Her behavior prior was so loving and cuddly. And she is still that way with my husband. It's crazy how much her behavior towards me has changed.
I've got three dogs. One is a blue healer puppy that we got the week before we found out I was KTFU, one is a 10-yr-old red healer, and one is a 7 yr-old husky/GSD mix.
Obviously, the puppy isn't different since we were technically pregnant before we got him. The only weird thing about the husky mix is that he (maybe TMI) is constantly smelling my crotch. Our old girl is definitely a bit more needy lately, but I've been attributing that to the puppy more than the pregnancy. She's always been pretty protective around new people, so the fact that she's constantly at my side seemed to be a response to the extra dog. Who knows, though?
Yup--before we even knew we were pregnant, the dog started getting really protecting (wanted to sleep by the front door instead of snuggling in bed with us, barking at everyone on our walks--totally out of character). After a couple more weeks, he started obsessively laying right on my belly and has been like that ever since.
Interestingly, when I was about 6 weeks, I visited a friend's and their pup came up and jumped on my lap (their dog usually doesn't like me much). Turns out their dog is completely obsessed with pregnant women--follows them around, lays on their belly, etc.
Another pregnant friend has two dogs--one became super lovey when she got pregnant, and the other one wouldn't go near her. Both of them became totally normal towards her after the baby came.
I guess dogs can smell the hormone changes or something. After all, dogs can smell cancer and seizures, right?
My cat has never snuggled with me before getting pregnant. Now she sleeps by my pillow every night and even sometimes lays on me when I sit on the couch. It's delightful. Today she stepped on my stomach and I felt Grayson push back. THAT was weird.
I'm pretty sure my dog is just now getting over me "replacing her with that crying thing" She's done fine with her but when I was feeling like crap during 1st tri she was actually snuggly with me for the first time in a while. So either she sensed I wasn't feeling well or knows.

I have 2 dogs, lab-pit bull mix, and carien terrier-Chihuahua mix puppy. My lab is about 3, and I'd always been independent, but started laying on my stomachs right before we found out. And the puppy will jump up on me while I lay on the couch and lay right on top of the baby. She usually lays by my feet.

Same here. Except my dog has been a little more of an asshole, and will nip at people and other dogs now too. He also barks (/does this creepy heavy breathing thing that is supposed to be a growl?) whenever someone is walking by the house.
Yes. Aren't animals amazing? I think it's pretty neat to see the changes in their attitudes with different life events. We have two dogs and one is a Pomeranian-Chihuahua (pom-chi). She's always been my dog, but with this pregnancy she has become really protective of me. She will follow me around everywhere, sleep by my feet and one morning recently even ran down our driveway to "scare off" two of our neighbour's dogs that probably eat things bigger than her (which is out of character for her - she'll normally just bark, but will keep her distance).
My dog Lucy (female beagle) acts so weird since my pregnancy. She used to snuggle with me all the time. Now all she wants to do is lay at the end of the bed or living room. Wah!
Yes that's how I knew I was pregnant with a boy. (Besides it being confirmed via ultrasound) My male pit bull he's 7yrs has been super cuddly and up my ass since right before I found out I was pregnant he was not like that at all with my last pregnancy. And our female pit she just turned a year hasn't really changed she's still very lovable. My husbands worried that she will become more protective of me once I'm bigger so we will see.
My horse has actually had quite the attitude lately! But I think that has more to do with me not being able to spend as much time with her as usual, and possibly my mentality is more "protect baby" than "be the boss mare". I'm working on it. The dog's don't care either way, as long as they get food.

Our cat, unprompted, has been laying across my abdomen since I got pregnant. At first I thought she was being sweet but now I think she's just trying to show the baby that she's the HBIC.
We got our Boxer when I was 6 months pregnant with my daughter last year and she was a baby. Literally...she was the runt of the litter and we got her right at 6 weeks old. So for the rest of my pregnancy, she was my baby and I was her mama and that's how it was. She would sleep on my big baby bump and the baby would kick her lol When I went to the hospital to have my daughter, I was in there for almost a week, and the dog stayed with a family member for that time. And when she came home and saw my husband she was a daddy's girl ever since lol. She wouldn't even acknowledge that I was there haha. But now her and the baby are just the best of friends. It took her some time but she absolutely loves her now With this pregnancy, idk if she even knows that I'm pregnant again lol I had to share a pic of my baby girls!! Two peas in a pod!
Our cats are definitely acting differently. The cat I adopted a year and a half ago who was already attached to me just will not leave me alone. She's usually sleeping on or near my lap. The cat my husband adopted a couple years before he met me has also become even more lovey. He has always loved me but now he is usually sleeping at the foot of my bed or is next to me wanting attention. They both will not let me out of their sight. I can no longer pee in privacy because the both of them want to be in there. I feel so loved by our kitties, not that I didn't before but still. And this has happened since right around the time I found out. One of the reasons I tested so early was because this had happened with my first pregnancy starting the week before I tested and seeing it happen again made me wonder.

My dog was very jealous. It was noticeable that he treated me differently. He has health problems (allergy). For this, it is important to understand that apoquel
for dogs is needed. Fortunately, it passed over time, health improved and jealousy is also passing a little)
