Intro (TW - loss and child)

I've been around lots of parts of TB over the years. I might have previously posted an intro here, but I'll do it now to make sure.

We struggled a bit to conceive #1, but had success on our second cycle of Clomid and TI in 2013. (I was 32; DH was 38 with low motility.) We started trying for #2 in the fall of 2014. Here we are 21 cycles later and still trying. We've had 4 failed IUIs and 6 very early CPs (2 from IUI cycles, but 4 not). DH has low morphology (4%) and I'm on the cusp of DOR (36 years old, AMH 1.1 and AFC of 7). None of the tests really show exactly what the problem is so that's good stuff (though common for sure).

We're just starting stims for our one and only go at ICSI and maybe an FET with any luck. (Started stims yesterday on CD 2 - 425 of Follistim, 10 of micro-hCG and 0.5 of Omnitrope HGH after 10 days of priming with Estrace.) Planning to join the cycle buddy thread for this month as I'm realizing I really need an all-in online community of support for this step!

@adunkin I'm sorry you find yourself here. Your story is very similar to mine in that DH has MFI and I have DOR. I hope this cycle is successful. Good luck!

@Kp214 - thank you! What protocol did you use previously? And what are you planning to use in Sept?

@adunkin I was on bcp for 2-4 weeks prior to stimming for both cycles, then go off them for 5 days (2nd cycle I forgot and went off them for 2days), started lupron 2x a day, follistim (300) a day, and menupor (150)until follicles were a certain size. Then added omnitrope until day of trigger. The second cycle was the worst as you can see in my signature. I believe bcp had more of an effect than my RE thought.

In September, my RE wants to either do a spontaneous start or estrogen priming with lower doses of stims. DH and I also wanted to try some supplements and give them time to have an effect, if they are going to. We are hopeful that the new protocol and supplements will help.

@Kp214 - interesting. I started with Omnitrope (the rest of the meds), but had to stop due to an allergic reaction so only got 2 days in. And yes, my RE said they rarely do BCP any more at their clinic - nearly all estrogen priming these days. FX the switch works for you!

@Kp214 no idea honestly. I'm feeling crappy but not terrible. Bloodwork this AM showed to keep at the current doses but no idea what that means. u/s will be early Wednesday. FX I've got at least 5 follies up in there. (We'll convert to another IUI with 3 follies or less.)

@adunkin I think that the results of the bloodwork indicate that you are on track, that the levels are rising appropriately. Yay! I pray that you have at least 5 growing together and that you start feeling better. Please keep updating us. I know it is exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. Hang in there.
