Hello! So I'm looking for some input....my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about a year and a half now. We tried Clomid for 3 months and that did not work so we went to a fertility Dr. who upped the Clomid dosage and I had my first IUI 3 weeks ago (May 20th). I was scheduled for a blood test 2 weeks later (June 3rd) to test whether or not I was pregnant. Of course, like most of us I'm sure, I just couldn't wait until that day and I took a HPT 4 days prior. That one came back negative. I tested again 2 days later(also 2 days prior to my blood test) and got positive in the morning and in the evening. I tested the next morning and the following morning which was the morning of my blood test. Both positive. I went for my blood test a couple of hours after testing and they called that afternoon saying it was negative. Normally, I would just think a blood test is pretty definitive over a HPT however, I tested again this afternoon and got a positive. This is day 31 of my cycle. Has anyone else experienced this or know of someone who has? Is is possible to get a false negative blood test??

Lurker. *******siggy warning
It is against the Terms of Use to ask even in a round about way if your could be pregnant. Many ladies here are Trying To Concieve their first so they most likely won't be any help. You might have better luck in one of the trimester boards.

It would be practically impossible to get a false negative blood test. Are you using the hpts according to the directions on the box? What type of hpt are you using? It's possible you could be seeing indent or evap lines

@MamaMunn yes. I have used 3 different brands. E.P.T.(2 types), ClearBlue and First Response. Only one of the E.P.T tests had lines, all the others are digital.
I'd say definitely call and ask for clarification on your blood test then. If you explain the positive hpts they might redraw for you.
