After D&C, when did you get your period?

I'm curious to hear from people that had a MC and had D&C procedure. How long until your next AF?

Re: After D&C, when did you get your period?

  • I voted based on my first D&C in December. It's been 3 weeks since my last D&C and I'm starting to get cramping. I'm not sure if that means it will be soon or if it's just due to other weird hormone regulations.
  • I am voting based on what should happen now that I've confirmed ovulation and I'm assuming AF will show in the customary 14 day LP. It will be exactly 5 weeks when AF should show.

  • Thanks everyone. Appears to be what my doctor also said: It could take anywhere from 4-7 weeks (on average) :-( I wish it would come sooner, I'm sure it will be heavier and more painful than usual.
  • I don't want to worry you but my first period after my d&c was very heavy. I didn't have a lot of cramping (I usually have severe cramps) but I had heavy bleeding. It was probably double what it normally is and lasted a few days longer. Again, not trying to worry you, I just wanted to give you a heads up so that you can be prepared.
