Upcoming appointments? We finally get our anatomy scan at 20w5d. I can't freaking wait!!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: I started out a bit overweight. This month my doctor said my goal is to only gain 2 pounds. I've already gained 3, still have about two weeks to go until the appointment, and I am not eating any more than normal, and am also walking a lot more. So frustrating. Rave: I am absolutely in love with feeling the baby move!! It's so reassuring to feel him more consistently now.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? My boobs have become so sore and itchy. Really trying not to itch, as I was scratching in the middle of the night earlier this week and caused some minor bleeding. I'm now putting lotion on them every day to try and stop the itchy feeling now. On a positive note, I am starting to get my energy back!! I am feeling a lot less tired.
GTKY: What are you most scared about for labor and delivery or once baby comes? This is my first baby, and I am really hoping to have an all natural child birth. So I am very scared of the unknown. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, so I know I can do it and get through it (as have millions of other women and my own Mom), but it is still very intimidating. Especially because a couple coworkers have asked me about our birth plan, and when I tell them all natural, they look at me with horror...ugh, thanks? My husband and I just signed up for a Bradley Method natural birthing class that starts in July. Hopefully that will really help me prepare mentally and physically!! I'm also scared of breast feeding. Everyone keeps telling me it's a lot harder than it looks and it's very painful...

Rants/Raves/Questions? Finally felt definitive movements last night! They were strong enough that DH could feel them too. It was such an awesome moment. I guess the flutters I had been feeling were more than just my imagination.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Just the usual back/hip pain and RLP. I'm getting my energy back too which is nice!
GTKY: What are you most scared about for labor and delivery or once baby comes? Pretty much everything...complications, tearing (which I know is probably inevitable), not being able to breastfeed, being overwhelmed and not knowing what to do, figuring out our exact child care situation when I sadly have to go back to work. My anxiety is through the roof!
What size is baby? A Barbie doll, chinchilla, bunch of grapes

Rants/Raves/Questions? Finally knowing that what I'm feeling is actually the baby moving feels weird and really grosses me out, which I feel a little guilty about bc I should be happy. However, at the fetal echocardiogram this week, she was moving around so much and then got hiccups before falling asleep, all of which I thought were the cutest, most amazing abilities...I'm gonna be that mom haha
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? RLP, sciatica, pregnancy brain, tired/out of breath easily, always hungry but kinda nauseous after I eat and can't eat a lot at once. Still craving ice cream and chicken aversion
GTKY: What are you most scared about for labor and delivery or once baby comes? I'm scared of that "ring of fire" shit and my vagina tearing open if it's a vaginal delivery. Also things like deep vein thrombosis or a million PGAL fears but I try not to let my mind wander that far ahead.

Upcoming appointments? June 15th we find out the gender I'm very excited!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Not feeling movement but the baby's heart rate is 160. Makes me nervous. This is my second and my first moved so much.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Tired, swelling, not sleeping well. I crave Chinese food and fruity candy.
GTKY: What are you most scared about for labor and delivery or once baby comes? Our hospital just closed its labor and delivery. So we will have to drive 30 mins to deliver. Being in a new hospital is making me nervous but at least my doctor will be there. Also what we are going to do with our 3 year old during delivery. Our families our very selfish and self-centered so we're not sure what our plan is yet.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Hubby was finally able to feel the baby move on June 1st! Super exciting. We've learned that baby does not like to be squashed, so all I have to do to make it kick is lay on my side and partially on my stomach and the kicks come in short order.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Everything is going pretty well, but I'm still using the Diclegis. I don't trust my nausea to stay away.
GTKY: What are you most scared about for labor and delivery or once baby comes? Probably the pain, since I'd like to do a med-free birth with no epidural.

Rants/Raves/Questions? The kicks and rolls at time make me queasy. Hoping I'll get used to it. I'm in a constant fear of not drinking enough water and that it will hurt the baby.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Crying at YA books turned into into movies / Had a random craving for a caramel sundae at McDonalds. It totally didn't live up to the hype in my head.
GTKY: What are you most scared about for labor and delivery or once baby comes? I'm not sure, I haven't had a class yet so I don't know what to be scared about yet.

I want orange juice every day, strangely enough. I didn't like orange juice at all pre-pregnancy
GTKY: What are you most scared about for labor and delivery or once baby comes?
Terrified of the unknown! Also, I am a very heavy sleeper & I am so scared that I'm not going to wake up like I need to. Also don't function well on little sleep so I don't know how I will handle everything. I panic when I think about going back to work. We still don't have a child care solution worked out either. So..I'm scared of everything!

GTKY: What are you most scared about for labor and delivery or once baby comes? I am hoping to have a med free birth, and so I am scared about the pain with that. Hopefully once we take our childbirth class I will feel better about being able to manage it, and of course the thought of our doula being there is reassuring. My biggest fear right now about once baby comes is not bonding right away.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Starving all the time! I guess I'm making up for the first trimester of being unable to eat anything. It's hard to eat healthy though, when all I want to do is eat cheese and carbs!

Getting closer to viability.. it's crazy to me that after my June appt it'll be three weeks till my 28 week appt and then every 2 weeks after that.. WHAT?!

Lots of movement, starting to get some sex drive back, wanting ice cream all the time
GTKY: What are you most scared about for labor and delivery or once baby comes?
I'm really nervous about some sort of issue with the delivery- shoulder dystocia (both of my boys were big, (9&10#) but made it out fine, so I'm not sure why this is such a concern, but it is).. requiring a c section for fetal distress, etc etc etc. I think it's because I work in the field now and I see the good AND the bad and it's just really stressful to me! But, just hoping for the best and preparing myself for the birth I want! A nice, medicated, uncomplicated vaginal birth!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: Baby girl was so active. I usually have to press down hard to feel her, but this time we barely put any pressure and we could feel her rolling and moving that she was moving our fingers. It was so weird yet so cool!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Nothing too crazy...but I've possibly been so busy with our upcoming move to think about that sort of stuff.
GTKY: What are you most scared about for labor and delivery or once baby comes? Just not knowing when it will happen. I'm due on the 2nd but really want her to be a little late. But just knowing that she will decide to come when she wants to and I'm a planner. haha

having a csection so I'm not looking forward to the recovery and am nervous for the whole procedure.
