I'm really over the wet underwear. Everyday it looks like I've peed myself, totally uncool.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
Aversion to food in general, nothing sounds good.
Upcoming appointments?
Nothing for two more weeks.
GTKY: What's your favorite memory?
I would have to say fishing with my dad, even though the only thing I would do was reel the fish in. I was always too grossed out to put the worm on the hook or take the fish off.
Also, my dad never missed anything I did growing up. Not a single softball game or band concert, he typically worked 80hrs a week driving truck so I have no idea how he managed it. Looking back on it as an adult, I'm glad my husband is a lot like my dad in that regard because I know Bean will know how much they're loved and supported.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I read an article on Slate.com about the "FitMom" trend and then I read the comments. Never read the comments. They were all about how pregnancy shouldn't be an excuse for women to "let themselves go". Now I feel bad for the 12 pounds I've gained.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Where the heck is my second trimester glow? Still nauseated every day, still exhausted and going to bed at 8 p.m. every night. I know it's still relatively early, but I feel like I'm going to be sick this entire pregnancy.
Upcoming appointments? Have to go back for a follow-up anatomy scan to get a better look at the spine, kidneys and brain on June 16th.
GTKY: What's your favorite memory? Lying in bed for hours with my son sleeping on my chest when he was a week old. It makes me kind of sad that our second won't get the same experience.

It's getting hot here, and I've noticed some swelling in my feet and ankles. Gotta get those feet up at the end of the day! Some lower back stiffness is popping up too.

June 17: anatomy scan part 2 to check his kidneys and my placenta placement
GTKY: What's your favorite memory?
Our 5th wedding anniversary is at the end of the month, so I've been reminiscing about our engagement and the days leading up to our wedding a lot lately. It was such a special, happy time celebrating with family and friends. A close second is our honeymoon- it was so nice to just be together and not worry about a thing for a week. We didn't live or sleep together before we were married, so it was fun getting to know how the other lived and just be together all the time. I was so excited not to have to say goodbye at the end of our wedding night.

I second the wet underwear. I change my underwear three times a day. So annoying.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
No aversions. Craving berries as well as cereal.
The worst symptom I have I don't have confirmed yet. I will ask my OBGYN about it next time I see her, but I am convinced I have abdominal separation. And it hurts. It hurts my upper abdomen, and affects my hips and lower back. It's my only symptom and I am tired of the pain already. Ha.

Routine OBGYN appointment in two weeks.
GTKY: What's your favourite memory?
When I graduated university and college. I am the first one in my family to have gone to school and move away from our small town. My mom, sister and husband were there with me and it is a great memory. After five long hard year, I finally did it.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I really wish that second trimester energy would kick in. I need more energy!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Low energy and still feeling nauseous throughout the day.
Upcoming appointments? Next appointment is June 20.
GTKY: What's your favorite memory? This is tough... My favorite memory is seeing DD1 for the first time. I had a very very long labor with her (47 hours, Med-free). But seeing her beautiful face for the first time she was my little miracle. I was on cloud nine after and could not believe that she was a part of me and that I was a mom. I knew what to expect with DD2 and it just was not the same emotions.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I will forever rant about heartburn. There is literally no safe food to eat. Grr. Rave- We're selling our guest room bed and an old dresser, and then we can finally buy some nursery furniture! I have a pinterest board full of inspiration for that room, can't wait to get to work!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? craving Mexican food and fruit. And cereal, always.
Upcoming appointments? Not until week 24
GTKY: What's your favorite memory? It's hard to top the day I had dd. My parents and sister came up to the hospital to hang out with my husband and I (after I got my epi) and I vividly remember hanging out, talking, watching The Hills reruns, and watching the machine that was tracking my contractions. They left when I started to push, but I'll never forget that moment that she was born. Absolutely surreal. As much as I haaate pregnancy, every bit of it is worth that moment. I can't wait to have it again with this baby.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I really like that I'm feeling him move on a regular basis now. It's so reassuring.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I still get a sour stomach or indigestion a few times a week. And I'm soooo tired all the time. Where's my second wind?
Upcoming Appointments? I have one the third week of may for the five month mark.
What's your favorite memory? When I was a little girl I woke up early and saw the sunrise coming up over the horizon. It was beautiful and has stuck with me for 20+ years.
