After our baby was born, my sister-in-law brought me a very thoughtful basket when she came to visit us in the hospital. It was filled with tons of goodies such as organic nipple butter, mother's milk tea, granola bars, trail mix, organic chap stick, etc etc.
Another thoughtful friend bought us a framed and matted picture of the sunrise on the shoreline the morning that our baby was born.
My sister-in-law is having her own baby in November and I'm struggling to think of something thoughtful and unique to give to her and the baby.
Did anyone get anything they thougth was super thoughtful or unique?
Thanks in advance for the suggestions!!
Re: Thoughtful/Unique baby gifts
It's similar to what she did for you but on a theme?
The picture is an amazing gift!

It makes me weepy every time I read it. You can get needlepoint/cross stitch versions on Etsy, or possibly find a nice framed print of it?
Birdie's nursery is Anne of Green Gables themed, and my sister got me several framed prints for the walls. I love them, and they'll transition to a "big girl room," since the Anne books are for middle readers.

Another friend of mine made an 'emergency' or MOTN kit with all the baby meds you might need like Tylenol and gripe water and gas drops.
Another idea I read somewhere and thought very nice was the gift a of a photo session: either pregnancy photo shoot or newborn/family shoot, perhaps picking a photographer that can do either so the recipient can choose which she wants.
I love this idea!
