Re: ^^^June Waiting to O^^^

  • Here I am on CD9....just waiting for something to happen lol. Should ovulate next week or the next. Will start OPKs next week and keep looking for signs. Really jealous of everyone already over in the TWW!

Hi all..  I am new to this board, and thought I would post a little bit about myself here.  I was somewhat active on the Dec BMB and the TTC boards, but changed my username because I realized that it was too close to my real name.

DH and I have been married for just over a year and started TTC in December.  It took us 5 months for our BFP, which sadly ended in a loss and D&C last Monday.  We had an idea after our first US at 6 weeks showed a low fetal heart rate, but nothing could have prepared us to hear the news a week later at our follow up.

We were told that we could either wait or start trying right away, so we're planning to jump right back into it as soon as we can.  My cycles have always been very regular, but I know that things could be different since the D&C.
I am very sorry for all of your losses, but I'm glad that we all have a place to come and vent.

  • @MKRLTX Hello, welcome. Sorry to hear about your loss and hope your stay is short here.

CD 5 here and still feels more like CD million. I have an emergency appointment with my family doctor's practice to talk about my anhedonia and fibroids. I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility over the weekend and it sent me deeper into a tailspin of anxiety and depression, as I learned absolutely nothing new and it made me feel even more dysfunctional and broken than I already do.

Should ovulate around CD 13/14, but we're away in Winnipeg to see my family for the lead up. No crazy relations schedule for us; we return CD 13. Hopefully we don't miss it entirely.

  • CD 7 up in here! Any cycle buddies?!?!? Anyways just trying to stay positive and upbeat as I gear up next week into FW...suppose to O around the 14th so I'll start OPKs next week and also bought TCOYF. I hope to look into it by the weekend. With my H's crazy work schedule we'll try to HIO as much as possible. FX ladies
  • CD 2  :|  this will be our first cycle trying since our loss in March.

Just waiting for my stupid period to stop.
  • @iceandsnowflakes29 it's so good to see you around here lately. We went through our losses at the same time and I feel like I haven't seen you active in a while. Good luck this cycle!!

CD 12...been having light ovary twinges on my left (always on my left).  I usually O around CD 18-20 but my RE is trying to move it up in my cycle to improve egg quality, but I doubt I'll O on day 14.  I go in that day for an ultrasound to check my follicles and if they're measuring large enough, I'll get a shot to prompt ovulation.  This is my first medicated cycle post loss, so I have low expectations.  Hoping for lots of Os on this board to be moving over to the tww ☺️
  • @SnobunnieMel sorry to see you still here but, glad to see a familiar "face". I wish you lots of luck this 2ww!  I took a bump break with my TTC bench/break. I was going to wait longer but, I decided I had nothing to lose that I haven't lost already before so, why not.

I actually popped back on to ask a question, for those of you who take baby aspirin, does it upset your stomach?  I took it for the first time last night and had stomach cramps and nausea. Should eat before hand? Drink some ginger tea? Anything?
  • I take my baby aspirin with all my other vitamins 2 hours after thyroid and  right after breakfast. I haven't noticed any problems taking it with food
  • Hmm thanks @SnobunnieMel. I hope I'm not just getting sick.
  • @aera11 So funny that you mention always ovulating on your left. I definitely ovulate more from my left side. In fact I have only felt ovulation pain on my right side three times and twice I ended up pregnant. Maybe I've got some healthier eggs over there! As a side note, I believe I ovulated from the right this month too, so we'll see if I have some more positive data to add to my healthy egg theory. Good luck with this cycle! I did a clomid cycle last month and this is my last natural cycle before IVF next month.
  • **peeking in from TWW** and ::waves::

Fellow left-dominant ovulator here! I have maybe felt pains over my right side a total of three times in the threeish years I've been off BC. @BornReady I have totally irrationally thought in my mind that my left eggs are crappier than my right. This cycle I felt pains on both sides, so fx! Glad I'm not the only one to think these things.
  • Popping in to give high fives to all the fellow lefties!!!

     I

I always have horrible left side pains that some times stick around during the TWW. It's the ovary I have had problems with cysts rupturing in the past so i chalk it up to that. This month is the first time ever I've had just as bad on the right. At the same time.
@Wishilivedinflorida I am really thinking we are ovarian sisters. I feel like my left spits out shit eggs too since it's my cystic side. Fx we both have right sides wins!

  • @SnobunnieMel Interestingly enough, I had an ultrasound last September before TTC because the ovulation on my right was so painful I couldn't walk that month. My NP thought I was nuts for not going to the ED to rule out appendicitis. I told her it was CD 14 and it was just like my left-sided pain was, only worse. No cysts were seen, so either one was there and burst, or I'm just that lucky of a girl. Worst part? The NP goes "That's great that your ovulation hurts that much! When you start trying, you'll know when you're fertile." Yup, it's turned out really great for me so far. It's a blessing and a curse.

My ovaries twinge all the damn time, too. I'm always freaked out by it.
  • mkrelmkrel member
@iceandsnowflakes29 - I have to take baby aspirin every day for another medical issue, make sure that you buy the enteric coated aspirin and that should help with any stomach upset.

I also feel O pain more on my left side.  I had an ovarian cyst removed from my right side a couple of years ago and I am convinced that things don't work as well on that side, but who knows... every so often I feel something over there too.
  • Had my emergency appointment today. She was exceptionally compassionate and set up an ultrasound to check on the fibroids. The previous four times they didn't bother to note the locations or sizes of all of them. She'll refer me to an OBGYN if it appears they are causing trouble in our quest to conceive. The depression is another beast and I have referral to a women's clinic that deals in trauma in the pipeline.

@BornReady yes, isn't that weird?  I've only felt it on my right when I was pregnant...which the doctor said was normal.  I wish I had a camera inside to see what actually happens because it's amazing.
  • Popping in to say @reneeannemm I am glad you were able to see someone who provided compassionate care and that you have a path forward. Acknowledging that you need help is the first step, as they say... but in my observation, actually doing something about that is the most important, because most people I know don't! So, cheers to being proactive and taking care of yourself! <3

Also, fwiw, my RE has said that there is a tendency for the right ovary to be dominant, and that most people don't alternate every single month. He has also shared that there tends to be a belief (don't recall if it was anecdotal or scientifically proven) that in older patients, the right ovary tends to produce "better" eggs. That said, he didn't have me hold off last month when Lefty was at bat. I just thought I would share that....

  • @fivetimesnoluck Thank you, friend. One moment at a time.

My left hips aches intermittently with my cycle which I gad always assumed was something to do with my ovary. I read in TCOYF that you can feel the lymph node swelling on the side you're about to ovulate from, so I'm going to try that this cycle and see if the hip pains aligns.

  • I'm always praying for right side ovulation since I don't have a left tube :(  but I was told my right tube can sweep over and pick up left side egg. Thankfully, I've been pregnant 3 times since my tube was removed so, it hasn't effected conception so far.
  • Cd 7. Just waiting. Feels like lots of waiting. I am trying to be mindful of taking it one day at a time and not stress to much.

    Good or luck to everyone

  • @reneeannemm Glad your doctor was able to set some things in motion for you. Hopefully the ultrasound gives you some answers one way or another. Sending you some peaceful thoughts across the internet
  • @reneeannemm - so glad your doctor is taking your concerns seriously - and I hope your other referral comes quickly. I just wanted to say I hope you have a lovely trip visiting your family.

CD14...and sick as a dog. 101.83 this morning when I temped. thankfully I won't O for another 3-4 days, so hopefully I can shake this because the last thing I want to do right now is BD.

    Happy Friday!

I am not sure where I am at. I am 13 days past the start of my MC and still spotting
I  am getting very faint lines on OPK. Maybe another week or two before I ovulate if at all this cycle.

Trying not to stress to about. I will start tempting again at least until my cycles even back out. Good luck ladies.
  • CD1 here, 15 more to O. The bright side is that O should fall on a weekend this month, making the BD schedule a little easier. Small victories lol.

  • @MissPrint1219 Sorry to see you back on this side of things.

Well, today CD 8, I have EWCM for the first time ever in our TTC quest. I don't know: it seems cruel as we're not able to take advantage of it unless I randomly O tomorrow. It's a discussion we need to have, while we're there if I get a positive opk. Maybe we'll hide away in an airbnb for a night at the last minute, I don't know! What the hell, body??!

  • CD 5 and already doing OPKS. Between the miscarriage and birth control pill, I don't know when to expect Ovulation anymore.

I'm debating temping but, temping makes me psycho so, I don't know.
  • @iceandsnowflakes29 I am always hoping for left side ovulation as I had my right tube removed in January so I know the feeling. I have yet to conceive since then so it does make me wonder if my right ovary may be dominant, but I know that it really hasn't been that long yet even for someone with no issues.

CD 10 here. DH and I are trying to BD every other day because O has been all over the place in the past few months, anywhere from CD 12 to CD 18. Get it together body!

  • Coming off our first cycle TTC again after my M/C.  Not pregnant, and now I'm at CD5.  I had every symptom in the book and was really hoping, but that would have just been too easy =)

Trying to stay occupied and busy and not be too stressed.  But it's hard!  I feel like we had this very laid-back attitude about having baby #2 before, but now that it's been over 2.5 years and I haven't managed to get pregnant again except for my M/C, it's starting to concern me.

  • CD 14. I usually O around CD12, but since this is the cycle after my 3rd MC, I have been told I may not O this cycle or it could just come late. We shall see.

I will be calling a RE this week to set up a consultation.
But we are really just waiting for things to get back to "normal" so we can try again.

  • I'm CD 17.. I usually ovulate around CD 19-21 but got a positive opk today and yesterday.. So looks like CD 19ish this month. I actually realized this month I get ovulation pain! I had no idea the ovaries alternate, that's so crazy but makes sense.  I wonder which side is better for me. I would say leftie felt at bat this month but at a second thought- had pain on the right side this time. Weird!
  • CD 13 and had a big drop CD 11 so I'm not sure what the deal is since I don't normally ovulate this early. FF hasn't called it yet so we will see what happens with my temps over the next few days, but the time before O isn't as important as the LP right?
