1st Trimester

Waking up way too early, anyone?

I fight to keep my eyes open past 9:30 pm, yet -- I am wide awake by 7:30 on a weekend.  It is so annoying.  I suppose it is better though now -- up until week 5 I was waking up by 4:30-5.

  • I've only been waking up early to pee....and usually only once a night.  That is, until last night....I got up 4 times!!!!

  • I haven't been able to sleep past 7:30 or so for months. I miss sleeping in on weekends!
  • I'm still waking up at 5! It seems to be getting worse for me!

  • I had the same problem in my first trimester. things are getting back to normal, I can sometimes make it to 9am on weekends, which is nice.
  • Oh, I am so glad to hear that this is common! I have been up sooo early lately! I am an early rise, early to bed person anyway but I get so tired throughout the day that I would love to sleep a little later.
  • That would be my 13 month old who thinks 5:00 a.m. is appropriate.

When I was pregnant with her, my 3rd trimester was the "worst."  I wasn't exhausted like I am now with the twins, and I got 3-4 hours in a row TOPS, and was wide awake.  It was seriously the most productive period in my life.

  • I've had a very similar schedule as you.  It stinks too now b/c all of the new primetime shows are on again!  Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice etc!
