What's new with baby (size, development)?
8 weeks today! Baby is the size of a raspberry! My fav fruit!
Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival?
Nothing new this week, still just discussions on plans...
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
Morning sickness is really starting to kick in. And the exhaustion is growing!
When is your next appointment?
Friday! I can not wait to go, we didn't see a baby on our first u/s so I'm anxious to get in for this 2nd u/s to be reassured everything is as it should be.
GTKY: how many siblings do you have? Has that played a part in your decision on how many kids you want?
I grew up with 1 brother, and I think it did play a part in my wanting more kids.

What's new with baby (size, development)? 9 weeks! The size of a green olive

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? I have started writing in a baby book, but have been too sick to do much other than look at nurseries on pinterest.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: So ready to be done with this trimester and I HAVE to stop losing weight! It's making me too nervous. Want to stop before I hit that 10% of body weight threshold my OB warned me about.

When is your next appointment? June 28th - my birthday! Unless the MS sends me in first

GTKY: how many siblings do you have? Has that played a part in your decision on how many kids you want? Both DH and I have one sister and one brother. I was older before my brother came along and I always thought 2 would be a good number. DH wants 4! I say after we adjust to parenthood we'll see how it goes.

I remember how nerve wrecking the losing weight is, I lost a lot of weight with #4 gah! Praying you get over the sickness soon and can start to gain weight!

What's new with baby (size, development)?
Baby is 8w - the size of a raspberry, a pygmy seahorse, or a peanut M&M, depending on which app or ticker I am looking at! I have been watching the What to Expect videos for every week and they make me a little teary-eyed every week learning about what has changed. (There are EYELIDS now!! cue tears)

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival?
My word doc with all the things I've picked out to buy is starting to get massive. And I actually ordered a stretchy wrap carrier yesterday! My first decision as a mom.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
My "morning" sickness is way worse at night. And after every meal. Since I'm naturally a bit of a slow riser and a night owl, I would really actually prefer the classic AM heaving, because I don't get a lot done before 10 am anyway. But this feeling like utter crap from 6 pm onwards is really starting to cramp my style.

When is your next appointment?
I have an US tomorrow. So I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to sleep tonight... I had my first MW appointment yesterday and now I don't have another one until June 28... seems soooo long.

GTKY: how many siblings do you have? Has that played a part in your decision on how many kids you want?
My husband and I each have one sibling. I think it's definitely influenced us in that neither of us want only one kid. He's pretty firm in only wanting the two, whereas I'd be more willing to go up to three. But I figure I'll revisit after baby #2 is out in the world, no need to worry about that just yet...

I almost forgot to post!!

What's new with baby (size, development)? 6w! Size of a sweetpea and will start moving their little paddle hands/feet!!

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? Right now I'm just trying to get through the ultrasound I have tomorrow to make sure everything OK since I've been having some spotting.

GTKY: how many siblings do you have? Has that played a part in your decision on how many kids you want? one brother one sister, I'm the youngest. I think so I'm very close to them especially my sister, so I cannot imagine what it would be like without them.. I think it would be lonely.. so we will probably have at least 2.
