@CopperBoom86 Ugh that was my concern. I've always been very, uh, gifted in the butt area but I wonder if it would be TOO much. I may just have to suck it up and try them on in store

  • Yes! I was going to suggest tankinis too!  I'm actually currently still wearing my regular tankinis...but as I get a little bigger, I'll just have to get a bigger top.  The bottoms fit nicely under the bump (and hopefully will continue to do so...).  Plus, it's SO much easier when you have to pee a hundred times a day.
  • @Piperella Today baby was looking higher than normal. I know with DS I would look bigger, or my bump would lean more to one side depending on where we way laying/what parts he was shoving out.

I need to find a bathing suit for this summer! Where are the best maternity suits?
I looked EVERYWHERE and finally got one from Motherhood

  • @emmaaa - Just a word of warning about buying a swim suit a size up- I wore an XL from Target (I normally wear a L) on memorial day and the butt part was HUGE on me. Like, DH even noticed... he asked me why it was so saggy in the butt lol. Unless your butt has grown substantially, you might want to try before you buy.

I personally like the first link.
This. I bought a maternity tankini set and the bottoms were huge! I decided to just get the top from Motherhood (I got the black with white polka dots tankini) and just wear some regular black bottoms I had. I mean, my butt isn't pregnant lol.

@mrszoess you mean you would't uproot your family and move across the country because of a potential virus? I skimmed that thread a little bit ago and eye rolled so hard.

@coffee89 what!?!? Maybe I'm in the minority, but sex wasn't even a THOUGHT in my mind a month after giving birth. Also, edited to add, holy fast return of the period batman.
  • @JamieK1882 I got my period back somewhere around 8 weeks so technically could have gotten knocked up around 6, but I was too exhausted, sore, and gross to even think about sex! She would have been DTD 2-3 weeks after giving birth, no thanks!

  • lol this girl is talking junk at me now on that thread bc she went back into posts from over a week ago where I called their private group snobs.

    i cant.  :D
  • Well her special snowflake husband is immune to bites so obviously he is going to be patient zero. Of course she has a specialist team with the CDC!

  • @mrszoess I have to say the hashtag #nevertrustaknottie made me laugh a little. Especially after the discussion we had the other day about Knottie usernames. Can't remember the thread it was on....but I can't remember much of anything these days!

  • @mrszoess you can't call her out for going into posts from a week ago when you were literally just in a post on their board from a week ago......just sayin.  Errbody can creep however much they want
  • lol it wasn't a week ago it was a new
post I think. and I didn't sit there and screen shot it calling people out for unrelated stuff.

it is what it is, I'm over it lol.
  • Ok need someone to calm me down. As usual, I woke up on my back (instead of side). I have pain in my lower abdomen on the right side (bottom of my bump), and of course I'm freaking out. Cause for concern or am I being paranoid?

Do you think it could be round ligament pain?

I wouldn't stress yourself too much over waking up on your back here or there. Either one of the pregnancy apps (bump or Ovia) or my pregnancy book said you're unlikely to cause issues that way. An issue would be sleeping there all night. Also, if it's something that worries you, have you thought about a snoogle?
  • @bnsmith85 I'm pretty sure I do sleep that way most of the night. I don't try, but anytime I wake up that's the position I'm in. I have a pregnancy pillow but it's not a snoogle. Mine is U-shaped, so I end up sleeping in the middle of it with the pillow on either side of me. Maybe I do need to suck it up and invest in one.

Right now I'm doing anything I can to get this baby to move so I have some reassurance.
  • @JamieK1882 It's probably RLP, but if you're worried call your doctor. My doctor made sleeping on your back really sound like no big deal- she said you would naturally move before anything bad happened.

  • @ibabyloveb87 thanks I will. I'm eating some chocolate Special K which made baby jump around last night. If I don't get some movement soon I'll call!

I hear ya, it's definitely more than I wanted to pay for a pillow lol. If you want/need, I think I have a coupon they gave me at Motherhood Maternity for something like $50 off a pregnancy pillow or something like that. If you need it, let me know. I'll dig to see if I can find it to mail to you :) Of course, I'm sure they'd give you the same thing if you have those stores by you too :) But the offer is there if you want/need.

Keep us posted once you feel something! Sending good thoughts... I'm sure everything is still perfect!
  • I don't get any kind of notification outside of TB when someone quotes or tags me in a post. I checked my bump settings and they're set to receive said notifications and I've checked my spam folder in email to see if maybe that's the issue. Nothing. Any ideas of why that could be?

I don't either. The only time I see a notification is when I'm in the app. I have looked and still have no idea how to change these settings or if you even can??

I don't think they can be changed, I only get them while I'm actually on TB as well and so far found no way around that. Do tell if you find something though!
  • yeah I even sometimes don't get notifications when I'm on the actual post lol

well, glad I'm not alone. @ibabyloveb87 and @AllyTheKid ... the settings I'm referring to are located when you click on the little person icon at the top right of TB, then go to notification preferences. You can choose when you get notifications and what kind of notifications you get for different things. As of now, my only way of knowing is to click on the world icon at the top right to see what I've been tagged in... .and I just realized that today lol
  • @MRSCORKER I just noticed it. I need to know!
  • @MRSCORKER That sounds like a dig at someone.  "Elitist" is usually not used in a nice way.

It looks like it might be a result of something from a November 16 thread. *shrugs* Back to my regularly scheduled programming.

  • LOLOL sorry I riled them up. it may also be that girl who posted about regs and lurkers the other day.

getting to groups on the app is annoying.

  • One of my coworkers who hired me in four years ago is retiring today (well sort of being pushed out by the company, but that's a long story...) He came around the office already giving out hugs. It wasn't even 10am, I was not prepared! It was all I could do to keep my tears at bay while standing there with him. :'(
