Next milestone/appointment? - scan tomorrow to check my placenta. Milestones- next Monday is 16 weeks for me. I lost my last little girl at 16 weeks in September due to an abruption and pprom and I am terrified right now. Statiatics show that making it past your last abruption milestone is a pretty good indication that you'll make it to term. I have never been so scared in my life. I just need to make it 7 more days and I'll have kicked that milestones ass. I don't have any signs of abruption, my bloodwork is looking way better than it did last time and my little girl is kicking away inside me so I'm trying to ignore my history and get through this week. I just need 7 more days. Then the official countdown to viability can begin! 7 days!! Come on placenta- just do what you're supposed to do!m and stay put!!
Rant/Rave/Anything else: just the above. 7 days!

thanks for starting this last week. I was sad not to see it last week.
Weeks: 14+2
Next milestone/appointment? Wednesday at OB. I've passed all my milestones (HB stopped at 8-9 weeks and discovered at ultra screen at 12 weeks) so I might actually start getting more excited and even planning a few things after this appointment.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I woke up with a stomachache this morning and have had it all day. Kind of ruined all our plans today I hoping it goes away or starts feeling better by tomorrow. It's nice to pull out my Doppler though and quickly find baby's HB.

@GirPipley - I JUST passed my milestone last Friday (15+2), and while I'm not as nervous, I'm still pretty freaked out on a moment to moment basis. I pPROM'd as well (no placental abruption though-- mine was completely spontaneous-- no sign of labor or dilation, nothing) and I don't think I'm going to feel like I can relax at all until 30 something weeks.

Next milestone/appointment? Anatomy u/s June 20th, besides an appointment with my family doctor about some concerns. I'm in the waiting room to see him right now.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm having a mentally difficult week with this pregnancy. I'd been somewhat detached until now, but now that she has a name I'm finding that my fear is taking over. Still can't really bring myself to buy anything, and I'm still having a hard time internalizing that I'm most likely going to be bringing home a baby this fall. (See? Even there, I qualify it. Most likely.)
Questions? Nah.

@KilgraveMadeMeDoIt - Big calming hugs and vibes being sent your way. Please update us after your appt!
Also, I totally feel you on the fear thing. I think we've chosen his name and I feel like I don't want to call him by that name yet. Like I don't want to attach this baby to a name that he wouldn't receive until this Fall, just in case. I'm hoping you get some clarity at your appt, and maybe that will help calm you a bit.

@KilgraveMadeMeDoIt I get you on the wording. Every time someone asks me my due date, I say "If all goes well, it's 11/16." Why can't I just stop prefacing everything with "if all goes well?" Maybe one of these days I'll be able to drop it and just tell people my due date.
Next milestone/appointment? I have an appt tomorrow morning. Hopefully they will set me up to schedule my anatomy scan. My appt got pushed back from last Thursday, which has been stressing me out. I've pulled out the Doppler more often than usual to check on things. Baby's heart keeps beating away.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I run an in-home daycare. 3 of my kids (daycare, not my own kids) came down with fevers over the long weekend. One went to the doc yesterday and was diagnosed with Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease :-( I have been in this business for 7 years, and before that I taught 1st grade, and I've managed to never have to deal with HFM before. But with 3 kids infected, I'm not getting out of it this time...
Questions? Nope
GTKY: Do you have any living children? Furbabies? We have two girls. One is 4 and the other turns 2(!) this month. We also have a cat.
@MollySm HF&M suuuuuucks!! I hope if you catch it you don't have to deal with the classic symptoms (most adults don't). I got it from work just before DH and I left for vacation a couple years ago and it was torture! We did a lot of walking and it felt like the bottom of my feet were sunburned, same with my hands. Thankfully I only got like two sores actually in my mouth so I was able to eat and drink okay. Sanitize everything they touched! Haha
@megz1902 This is she or isn't she pregnant phase is the worst!
@lilwonder Thanks, yesterday turned out ok. I didn't give myself much time to dwell on it. I originally wanted to make our public announcement yesterday with a nod to our first pregnancy, but DH is waiting to hear about a promotion so we are waiting until after that.
@kilgravemademedoit I hope you are able to sort out all your current worries with the OB soon. Whenever I tell someone new about the pregnancy there is always a "as long as everything goes well" or something along those lines. That's the thing about being PGAL, it robs you of having a blissfully unaware of the bad pregnancy. I feel its something I am always going to think/say.
Next milestone/appointment? June 7 check-up with OB (I usually see a midwife at the practice, but am required to see an OB twice throughout my pregnancy, something about liability insurance. Not thrilled with the idea, but hopefully since it's just a small check-up it will be quick and easy.)
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm with the others who can't stop saying something like "if all goes well" when talking about the pregnancy (which I rarely do). During my first one last fall, non-viability never even occurred to me, but now that I've had the loss, it's all I can think about.
Questions? Not really.
GTKY: Do you have any living children? Furbabies? No kids, one 9-yr-old cat named Flynn
My ultrasound yesterday went well. Baby is growing appropriately. There were no signs of Spina Bifida, but the MFM wants to wait until 20 weeks to say we're clear. I did have my MSAFP tested and if it comes back elevated I'll be back in 2 weeks rather than 4.
Next milestone/appointment? Today at 1:45. I'm so anxious
Rant/Rave/Anything else: we did our reveal on Sunday. It's a boy. It was so fun and shocking I was sure it was a girl. We shocked DH's family since they knew nothing.
Questions?
GTKY: Do you have any living children? I have a 5yo DS and we have 2 dogs and 2cats.
@lajoliedreamer yes! I was texting with Dh about my apt today and I said "I just hope everything is all right." And he freaked and called me and was like "why are you worried? What's wrong?" I told him I'm always worried. It doesn't go away. After 3 losses it's hard to hope for the best w/o preparing for the worst.
My appointment yesterday went well. OB couldn't fine the HB on the Doppler, but she didn't try very hard (she was also too low) so pulled in the (crappy) ultrasound machine. She had a hard time showing us the HB on that bc baby was moving and flipping over so much. She said she'd take us to the ultrasound room with the good machine but the sonograher had it that day, so she offered us a transvaginal so we could see the HB better if we wanted. I told her if she was fine with it and believed it was good, I trusted her. I love that my OB is so conscious of my PGAL brain and wants to make sure I'm reassured.
I'm late to the party this week cause I've been stupid busy all week but wanted to stop in anyways.
Weeks: 18+1 today
Next milestone/appointment? Anatomy scan is 6/7. Thankfully I'm past all my negative milestones at this point but PGAL brain is still lurking in the shadows.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm really glad my manager loaned me her Doppler. I still have my little freak out moments that I just need a little reassurance that baby is OK. Being able to find that little heartbeat is such a comfort! I love having it at home and not having to call and bug my OB every time I'm having a rough day.
Questions? Nope
GTKY: Do you have any living children? Furbabies? I have 2 stepsons, 3 dogs and 2 bearded dragons. Got my hands full over here but I love it!
Weeks: officially 14w2d but measuring consistently ahead by 5 days so I'll say 15w
Next milestone/appointment? I had an appointment this morning so if all goes well, no appointments until July 1 (OB) and July 8 (anatomy)
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I had spotting/light bleeding last week but it was old blood. Turns out I have a low lying placenta. It has been a scary week especially since the OB I saw last week was not great at explaining things and really freaked me out, but my appointment today with my regular OB could not have gone better! Rave: seeing SO's face when he heard the heartbeat for the first time. Rant: having to wait 5 more weeks for the anatomy scan.
Questions? Any stm's here have a low lying placenta? Did you bleed because of it? Did it move on its own? (I heard most of the time it moves as your uterus grows.)
GTKY: Do you have any living children? Furbabies? SO and I each have a cat. Mine lives with my parents as he is indoor and SO's is outdoors. Sadly my kitty now thinks his grandma is his favorite (although he did cuddle with me last night, even with my mom in the room which made me feel better).
@ash111916 - I had a low lying placenta with my second daughter. I did bleed quite a bit, which was scary, especially because I had had a miscarriage before that pregnancy. But as my uterus grew, the placenta moved away from the cervix, all on it's own. The bleeding stopped, and I had no more issues. My doctor told me it was pretty likely that it would move on it's own, and I was happy that it did.
