Hello everyone,

I have been signed up here for about a week. Reading all I can. Trying to understand all the acronyms... thought the military had some tough ones, you guys take the cake on this. Is there a thread where one can learn the slang of what SIL, DD, BFD or whatever is used on this site! I have learned that SIL is sister-in-law, and I believe DD is due date... 
Also FTM (first time mom) here... Live in Northern Colorado, if anyone else is out here  HI! :smiley: 
Looking forward to all this site has to offer. Already have found it helpful.

    Welcome! I am in Denver.  :) Glad you've been lurking a bit to get a feel for things. The women here are really supportive! 

    I don't know if there is an official thread with all of the acronyms, but here is a pretty decent list https://jezebel.com/5897896/an-overwhelming-glossary-of-mommy-message-board-lingo. I think a lot of these are universal on mom/pregnancy boards. Don't worry, people don't use ALL of these on here.

    Welcome! Have you added your due date to the master list? Since you've been hanging out a while, hopefully you've seen all the weekly check ins! Everyone here is pretty amazing and super supportive! I know somewhere on this site, an amin complied the common acronyms, but I'm unfortunately forgetting where you'd find it!

    Yes I checked into the Master list. Granted it took me awhile on how to figure out how to "reply", post, and start a new conversation!!! All right in front of me and yet couldn't figure it out. Also found out the first day you aren't allowed to post anything. Which I thought was bogus at first. But then it had me look around and now I am glad. I am having my first- due Aug 14 and it will be a BOY! As my husband says he "ordered a boy" and well he got one. Lol.
