I met with three amazing mid wives today and they all recommend that one of the most important things to do in these early stages is to become physically and emotionally connected with your body and thoughts.
So they recommend journaling.
As emotions can run high it's a great way to blow off some steam and or work through some day to day "stuff" and set goals on the side.
Can anyone recommend a good journal with inspirational quotes?
Something to keep your spirits up and positive?

Or any great books on the journey of pregnancy (not the typical what to expect)
Re: Pregnancy Journaling/Inspiration Books
I really, really enjoyed pregnancy meditation videos on youtube, though. I know its way too 'crunchy' for some people, but there were a few that made me feel super close with my baby, relaxed, and very centered.
I also love love love anything by Ina May Gaskin. Ina May's Guide to Childbirth has a lot of birth stories and just super positive pregnant-lady-empowering stuff in it.
@salilast326 don't worry this post is meant to encourage the granola!
Can you post some links here for us?
I will definitely check out Ina May Gaskin
I used Circle and Bloom's meditation program for our IVF cycles and I'll use their pregnancy program too. (Not yet though because sometimes meditation makes me nauseated and I can't handle any more nausea right now
Last thing, DH got me the book Buddhism for Mothers and I've just started it but am enjoying it so far. I'm not Buddhist but it is really informative and good for your well-being I think.

It's called Letters to my Baby. It's the size of a long postcard and is meant as a letter time capsule. It starts with leading or promoting words. You put an open date on it.
