Hi ladies! Forgot it was Monday...but figuring doctor's offices were closed for many of us today! Hope you all had a great holiday weekend and good luck at all appointments!

How did your appointment go overall? It went really well! I've gained a significant amount of weight since my last appointment, but my doctor said it was a "good gain" and to be expected at this point in the pregnancy. That made me feel a lot better about my life.
Any ultrasound or doppler? Doppler - she found the heartbeat right away and it was about 160/minute.
Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? She did for the most part. I really wanted her to give me doula recommendations, but she gave me a pretty general answer about that. Maybe they can't actually recommend someone? Other than that, I love my OB and will keep seeing her even though we moved about 25 minutes out of town this weekend.
How did your appointment go overall? Good! Had a little chat, doctor was pleased with my progress. Still haven't gained any weight (actually I'm down 2 pounds from my first visit!) - but I'm on the "plus" size side of things, so this is all good news!
Any ultrasound or doppler? Doppler today - and found the heartbeat immediately. Even though I got to see the munchkin on Friday at my A/S, it's still awesome to hear their little heart chugging away. Got louder after a minute or two like they were moving closer to it!
Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? I mentioned my swollen ankles from a week or so ago, she didn't seem concerned - just said to keep up the water and elevate when necessary. Also mentioned the MFM doc's observation of the low lying placenta - she said I was still early on and wasn't concerned just yet. Also, don't have to do the GD test til about 26/27 weeks!
20 week appt. - check. Marching on to the 24 week appt.!

How did your appointment go overall? We had our AS and baby was being stubborn couldn't clearly see the sex because his/her legs were crossed but our tech is leaning toward it being a girl and our tech couldn't clearly see the face because baby had his/her hand covering it. I was so excited to see our LO; however, we found out that my amniotic fluid is low so the baby is a bit cramped in there and baby wasn't moving around all crazy like last time so that made me a little sad but baby is doing good with a HB of 164 so that made me feel better. I haven't gained weight yet and I'm pretty happy with that.

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Yes, as mentioned above my amniotic fluid is low so DR. told me to drink more water (which seem crazy to me i'm trying to get the amount she said and omg i feel like i'm going to drown and I have to pee like crazy now lol) and we have an ultrasound with a specialist (MFM) on the 14th to check on fluid and for a detailed AS to check for birth defects pertaining to my SO.

It was frigging horrible to be entirely honest. I left in tears.

Doppler, found the heart beat right away.

not really. This was the first time I saw this doctor, he is filling in for my normal doctor while she is on maternity leave. My old doctor and I had planned for me to have a VBA2C, this doctor was so against it. Made me feel about 2 inches tall and despite my extensive research he wouldn't even listen to me for a second. All he kept saying was they can't handle emergencies at this hospital and I have to have another c section. Funny thing is he is one of the doctors who does c sections so obviously that's what he is going to say since they get paid more. But hey what do I know I'm probably just another dumb patient to him who knows nothing.
How did your appointment go overall? AWESOME!! My A/S discovered I have a 2 vessel umbilical code, instead of 3, which can happen in 1% of all pregnancies and still turn out completely normal. Because the umbilical cord develops at the same time as the kidneys and heart, my OB wanted to make sure that the UC was an isolated abnormality and not a sign of other issues. I had to go to an fetal echo ultrasound so they can check the baby's heart, and ALL WAS NORMAL
Any ultrasound or doppler? Since it was an ultrasound for the heart, we got to hear his heartbeat a couple of times. I was coming in today at 133
Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Yup! Baby's heart is normal - which is all I wanted to hear.
My appointment tomorrow is another ultrasound since during my A/S, they couldn't measure the spine because baby boy was laying on his back and refused to roll over so they can get a better view of it. Hopefully tomorrow he cooperates since at the appointment today, he was huddled into a ball in the corner. I soooo wanted to joke "He's in the fetal position....get it?! because he's a fetus?!" but ya, my hubby says I'm not funny, but I crack myself up lol

Good! I hadn't met this doctor yet, but I loved her.

Yes, Doppler. I forgot to ask for the rate, but we got to listen for a few seconds.
Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had?
Yes- we talked about my weight concerns. After being sick, I'm back to my starting weight, but she wasn't worried. She said he's only one pound plus liquid weight right now, so I may have lost a little. She's not concerned with weight at all until 3rd tri, unless I'm gaining too fast, which is not an issue at this time. I was relieved that my cold didn't seem to affect him at all. We also talked about summer travel plans, and she said it sounded fine. Finally, she said that baby boy's kidneys weren't visible at the AS, but she wasn't concerned. She said normally if there's a kidney problem they're either cystic (so very visible) or a lack of fluid if there aren't any. If they still can't see them on June 17, we will be referred to MFM, but she is not concerned at this time. I also found out I have a low lying anterior placenta, which is why I'm just now feeling movement, but it wasn't labeled as partial or complete previa, so there's plenty of time for it to resolve since my cervix isn't covered. (Dang, that ended up really long!)

Great found out we are having a girl! Finally after having my two boys.

Yes to both ultrasound in the morning will have to go back for more heart pictures but only because baby girl won't show her chest for long or stay still tech said not to worry it looks great just everytime she lined the shot little one would move.
Doppler at my doctor appointment in the afternoon forgot to ask the rate baby girl wasn't trying to stay still so I was just ready to go.

Talked about when to have c section he's calling it in for October 21.
How did your appointment go overall? Ok. Had my anatomy scan yesterday and an appointment today. Fetus was lying on his back and wouldn't roll over, so I have to go back for another anatomy scan, but I'm okay with that.
Any ultrasound or doppler? Ultrasound for the anatomy scan; doppler at the appointment.
Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? I had a nurse practitioner who was filling in for my doctor. She told me wearing a girdle might help with that "gotta pee" feeling I have when I'm running.

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? I'm so relieved the pediatric cardiologist said he didn't see any abnormalities in LO's heart from what they could see so far!
Any ultrasound or doppler? Doppler- heart rate was 144
Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? I asked about insurance covered breast pumps, her pediatrician recommendations, my summer travel plans and about my indigestion problems. She was wonderful and answered all my questions and suggested I take Pepcid for the indigestion.
I have another A/S in 2 days to reattempt to see babies spine, heart, profile, nose and lips and hopefully gender! I decided if baby still isn't showing the goods a second time It will remain a surprise until the birth.
I expect a call from the office next week after the A/S but will be looking forward to seeing Dr. again at 24 weeks.
How did your appointment go overall? It went really good. I think my favorite part of my appointments is DH coming to all of them.
Any ultrasound or doppler? Both. We had to do a follow up A/S because little girl wouldn't fully cooperate to get brain and heart measurements last time. It was actually nice to see her again. They said everything looks great! She is sitting REALLY low and head down now (she was breech) and right on my sciatic nerve (makes sense). Also apparently she is measuring a little long which runs on my dad's side of the family.
Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? DH asked the doctor if we should be concerned that I hadn't gained any weight. I am 5'5" and usually weigh around 175-180. I am curvy (big butt, hips, and boobs). At my first appointment, I weighed 183 and by the next one I was down to 178 and have remained there or at 179 since. The doctor said that I was just probably losing weight in other areas (like definitely my love handles) but the baby is gaining so it evens out. They measured my uterus and I'm right on schedule so they said there wasn't any cause for concern because I will gain what I need to.

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? So I'm super confused on my due date lol. I used several online calculators when we first found out I was pregnant that all gave me a due date of 10/16. At my first doc apt, they said 10/17. I figured they were wrong (forgetting about the leap year), but when I asked again today, she definitely confirmed 10/17. Not that it's a big deal, but it just bugs me.
How did your appointment go overall? Pretty good, very short.
Any ultrasound or doppler? Since I just had an ultrasound last week at a specialist to check for issues I triggered on a blood test, they just did a Doppler at this appointment. Heartbeat sounded good!
Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Yes. Though she apparently hadn't been given all the info from the specialist yet, so she couldn't really answer anything about the ultrasound I had last week except to say that they thought everything looked okay. She also recommended I get some heartburn medication when I asked and said not to suffer through it, but to take something. Which is what I'm going to do tonight, hopefully- run out and get some Tums or something. I've never suffered with heartburn frequently (maybe just a couple times a year) so I've never taken anything for it. Any recs would be awesome if anyone has any!
How did your appointment go overall? Overall it was good. The nice thing about having my cervix measured every week is I get to see the baby much more frequently. At my anatomy scan they discovered baby has an arrhythmia so every appointment I have they always check it. I keep hoping and praying it will have resolved but it hasn't yet. She took lots of measurements of the heart today and it just makes me so nervous that there's something wrong with my baby. I have another scan with the perinatologist on 6/17 and they will probably want to do a fetal echocardiogram if the arrhythmia is still present.
