Does anyone else work in public accounting? I feel like it's hanging over my head and putting a damper on my mood that I'm going to have to tell my boss that I'm going to be on maternity leave for the vast majority of our busy season. I know the logical part of me says that people will be supportive and happy for me, but I also am totally expecting lots of negative comments from people in the office. But this is my second and I may only have one more. So if I miss 2 tax seasons in my career for pregnancy that would be it,.... It's 1 year out of my whole career.... But it just keeps hanging over my head and kinda bothering me.
Re: Work worries- maternity leave in "tax season"
im a bit jealous you got out!!! We don't have a lot of places to go to from public accounting around here bc it's not a bubbling economy so I'll probably be here for at least 5-10 more years. If not my whole career.
ETA ugh bump keeps deleting my comments. Anyway, if it were me, I'd probably take the full 12 weeks but I know if my husband were in your shoes he'd probably go back in March bc he hates when work piles up. Good luck deciding! And yeah, his bosses can be really great
