    Hi ladies,
I triggered two weeks today & am waiting for my beta Friday. Half of me can't wait and half of me wants more time to enjoy the hope of another cycle. If it's negative we'll be benched until we see the RE 8/8 since I had to reschedule my appointment as I want DH to be there and never told him....edited b/c it's only Wednesday!  My beta is Friday.
    hugs to @StephyM89 & @wifeinraleigh28

qotw- cookout and pool day at our friends...debating boating with our other friends. Because I knew my beta was Friday I am sort of not committing to anything, giving myself a chance to lick my wounds if necessary
    TTC since May 2013

  • @jojomama25 - saw your post on last weeks check-in my NMD actually gave me a trace minerals supplement years ago- it's made by Pure I think- if you want something more potent for DH

  • @lablover78 fx for your beta testing, I would be poas by now.

Im in the TWW but it's not looking good. BFN yesterday and today 11dpo. After I poas this morning, I went back to bed and had the saddest dream

    TW - children mentioned

i dreamed that we were with DH's family for Christmas  ( that will be this coming Christmas) and all his nieces and nephews were running around playing and I felt so empty and sad to be spending a second Christmas with no Bfp. My mil & bil didn't care about my pain, and I was trying to get away so I could cry by myself. I woke up sobbing, poor DH, he didn't know what to do either.

    QOTW
we're driving 8 hours to my parents for the weekend, and I'm going to tell my mom about our IF. We have some fun things planned so I hope it won't be a terribly emotional  weekend even though AF is due

  • Today I am 8dpo wish I could get excited but can't. For those of you who pray, please pray for my sister who is experiencing some life threatening health issues right now. She is on full life support.
TTC since May 2015 with domestic partner of 13 years. Me 33 OH 33.  No ovulation or natural menstruation. Normal SA.
    Diagnosed PCOS February 2016
    First cycle 50mg Clomid 5/3/16, O'd CD 19 BFN
    Second cycle 50mg Clomid 6/1/16 O'd CD 18 BFN
    Third cycle Clomid 6/29/16 O'd CD 16 BFP @11dpo!
EDD April 3 and praying things work out!
  • It is CD 3 for me.  My period never fails on 13 or 14dpo.  I feel like I'm still grieving the fact that my final attempt at IUI was unsuccessful.  DH is still sad too, I can tell.  We have an appointment for next Thursday (the 2nd) to consult with the doctor at our clinic in charge of the Megaset clinical trial.  I can't start the actual screening process for the trial until June 7th (exactly 1 month since I took ovidrel for my IUI).  So hopefully we'll be able to start that on or shortly after the 7th.  If I get accepted, I'll start stims at the end of June when my next period starts.  If I don't get accepted, we're still going to do IVF immediately, we'll just have to pay for it.

Thank you for the hugs @lablover78!  FX for your beta on Friday!!

I'm so sorry about your BFN and your sad dream @ReesaAnne16.  Lord knows I've had my share of sad dreams like that too.  I hope you're able to enjoy your weekend!

Oh no, I'm so sorry about your sister @Ducks&Cats!  She'll be in my thoughts and prayers.  I hope this cycle works out for you!

QOTW: Our neighborhood pool opened last weekend so DH and I plan on spending a considerable amount of time there (unless it rains all weekend).  We're also having some friends over Saturday night for dinner, so that should be fun.  This is a same-sex engaged couple so I know I don't have to worry about any surprise pregnancy announcements with them like I do with pretty much all my other friends!  I'm hoping this will be a very nice, relaxing weekend for us.

@Ducks&Cats I will definitely keep your sister in my thoughts. I couldn't imagine what you are feeling. My siblings are my world.

I'm on CD 22 this morning. And because I'm doing cycle monitoring and being watched, I have no signs of ovulating any time soon. Although my estrogen keeps rising and my lining keeps getting thicker. The nurses just say every time "you must just be ovulating late this cycle, don't worry'.  :|   Also the nurse took my blood this morning rather than the lab tech and she wasn't very good at it. (I assume because she never does it, so I can't hold her responsible...but still.)

    *Edit because I forgot

QOTW: We don't have memorial weekend in Canada, but this past weekend was Victoria Day or more well known as May 2-4. Me and my bestie drove up north to visit my parents at their trailer on Saturday. Sunday my MIL came to visit and we went for a trail walk with her and our dog. Monday me, DH and dog went for a really long trail walk in the morning and then out to my Grandparents farm for a beer and helped Papa open the pool.

@Ducks&Cats your sister is in my prayers!

@wifeinraleigh28 I really hope you get accepted for the trial.  It's always harder when you can tell your DH is feeling down about those BFNs too, I find.

@plainjanie that sounds like a lovely Victoria Day weekend!  I'm in Canada too =)

  • @Ducks&Cats sending your sister lots of prayers.

I'm crazy with a capital C today. After posting this a.m. and realizing I had more than one pregnancy test at home I POAS and got a BFN. I proceeded to call my RE, cancel my beta & sink into a hole of tears and self-pity for most of the day.  However, I had a particularly sad client situation this afternoon- girl with a progressive and debilitating disease- so that sort of snapped me out of my self-pity. God grant my DH strength and patience to deal with my emotions during this journey!

GL @harleyquinn0621 I've got fx for you!

Received the results of last week's SA and DH's numbers aren't great. Low motility and low viability. DH was pretty devastated, but we're glad to have found a problem so early in testing so that we can move forward with some direction. We meet with the OB on Friday after my ultrasound to discuss the results of both tests and our options. On the phone, the nurse mentioned that IUI may be an option for us, but I'm still interested to see what the U/S may or may not show.

Keeping your sister in my thoughts @ducks&cats

@wifeinraleigh28 - I am so sorry to hear that your final IUI was a BFN, that would be heartbreaking. Sending so much love and so many positive thoughts your way, and hoping things turn around.
@Plainjanie - Hoping that the nurses are right and you just ovulate late in your cycle....I am the same way, and they didn't think the meds were working...until they started to on our last cycle monitoring day we were going to do. Fx for you!!
@harleyquinn0621 - Fx for you! I would definitely recommend a trigger shot!
@seethosestars - Telling our family about our IF was a difficult decision for us too - for what it's worth, I am glad that we did it! GL!
@Cbrashers124 - So sorry to hear about the test results - but you are right, it is good to know what the problem is. Fx for you!
@MrsM00re87 - Sorry to hear that your first cycle was unsuccessful - GL whatever you decide!
@Worldtravler0522 - GL with IVF, hoping you get that BFP soon!

    UPDATE:
I went for the beta test on May 24th and got a BFN. I didn't want to believe it at first, and it really hit me when I had to tell my DH (I didn't tell him anything until I saw him just in case it was a BFP). Since then it has been a pretty tough week, but I'm back on Provera to induce my next cycle, hoping for a BFP this next time and trying (my best) to think positively. They are also switching me from Gonal-F to Menopur....anyone ever have this experience? Or have been on Menopur before?

It sounds like a lot of us have had a pretty tough week....sending extra love and hugs to all!

QOTW: Because I'm Canadian, we had our long weekend last weekend - it was fun, celebrated being with my husband for 10 years, celebrated my dad's birthday, and painted our garage! Next weekend is not a long weekend for me, but it is my birthday weekend and then I'm on a much needed vacation for the week!

  • Thank you everyone for your positive energy and prayers for my sister.  Things continue to be moving slowly with her and we are all at our wits end.  She is still on life support, supposed to have an operation tomorrow but now her white blood cell counts are high so that may not happen....

Anyway, met with my doc today.  My 7dpo progesterone draw indicates ovulation.  The doc said we just need to wait for one of two things to happen A. I get preggo or B. I get my period as the ultimate proof that Clomid has done its job.  I also have a follow up u/s to make sure the clomid didn't change the tiny cyst I had.  Right now I am 8dpo.

@cbrashers124 I'm sorry about the SA results.  There are a ton of supplements your DH can take to support better sperm quality, There was a small study on high doses of vitamin C positively impacting motility.  If you google it you will find tons of ideas.  Some of the evidence is anecdotal but many women on various boards report taking supplement along with some lifestyle changes vastly improved their partners sperm quality.  My partner is on Maca, multi, zinc, 1000mg vitamin c, vitamin E, vitamin D, selenium, evening primrose, coq10 and B complex.  I bought a pill sorter for him at the dollar tree and every Sunday I sort both of our supplements.  I like to order from Swansons because its cheap and good quality.  At least you are starting to get some answers and can head in the right direction!

Thanks again for your positive thoughts and please continue to pray for my sister, her name is Jenny.

  • @Ducks&Cats So sorry to hear about your sister, I can only imagine how stressful and scary that must be :( She'll be in my thoughts & prayers.

Not much new here, we're trying naturally this cycle and I think I just o'd. Trying not to get hopeful for this cycle, but I do really hope my next blood test confirms good thyroid levels so we can continue with IUI #2 in June.

QOTW: DH and I started our drive to Maine yesterday and stopped for the night in CT. We'll arrive in Maine this afternoon and will stay there over Memorial Day weekend. We plan to explore Acadia and Bar Harbor during our stay :)

  • Thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement! And thanks to @ducks&cats for the info. We'll have to look more into that.

Had my U/S today and met with the doctor. Everything looks normal on my end with the exception of my irregular cycles. The doctor suggested using clomid with TI or IUI (which our insurance won't cover). We may be sidelined for a few months while we save money and until my work schedule becomes more flexible once summer is over.

  • Well, I have a rather sad update

    *Trigger - BFP, Loss/chem preg*

This weekend we were visiting family and I was testing every morning so I could make sure I was still ok to drink ect.
Every morning was negative, and my temp had dropped, so when 14dpo rolled around, I was expecting another BFN... but there were 2 lines! Faint, but undeniable. I was shocked! Who gets a BFN 13dpo, and a BFP 14dpo? I do believe it was real, as I was having some atypical symptoms as well.
I didn't tell DH, because we were visiting family and I wanted to celebrate privately later.

Unfortunately, just 12 short hours after the BFP, I started spotting, and then AF arrived in full force overnight. Today was a BFN.

I'm just so sad, this is cycle 13 for us, and I was really doing great not getting my hopes up for this cycle, until all this went down, and now I feel devastated.

I'm trying to stay hopeful, thinking maybe the supplements DH has been taking are finally starting to work; but I also have this nagging feeling that his high DNA fragmentation could lead to nothing but continual losses...

I hope it was ok to share this here, I'm just feeling so hopeless at the moment.

  • Sorry I'm so late to the game - DH and I took a much needed vacation - it was nice to relax and recharge and run one of our favorite races - we do it every year.  I was initially concerned with taking the extra time off over the holiday weekend because of appointments and "what ifs" but I'm glad we went.

No real updates - just in the TWW as we make decisions about treatment options and waiting for DH to see the urologist.

@lablover78 thanks for the supplement info - I will definitely look into those!

@ducks&cats I hope your sister is continuing to improve - I will keep her and your family in my prayers

@wifeinraleigh28 I hope the screening for your IVF trial goes well!

@cbrashers124 we have the same diagnosis - we just got our diagnosis a few weeks ago so we're in the same boat. Insurance won't cover much for us either. Let me know oif you need someone to talk to!

@reesaanne16. I'm so sorry to see your latest update.  Lots of hugs to you.
  • @reesaanne16 I'm so sorry.  That must be a terrible feeling to have your hopes up and then have such a devastating disappointment. Hang in there and don't give up hope!
