Infertility

IUI and IVF prep

Good afternoon ladies after the BFN news, Im trying to think what I can do this time around, since ideally if my cycle starts next week as schedule I will be able to jump right back into IUI testing again!!

Okay back to what I was trying to ask..........SORRY, I ramble!

Any diet suggestions, I am a super picky eater AND what I do is, is probably more appropriate for a 7 year old child!!

Any other things you ladies do to prepare. I tried/am using, natural products, home and personal, glass cups and containers....What else is there?

I think Im going to stop the Ovaboost, and Fertileaid though

Re: IUI and IVF prep

  • Hi, ADRIANA! I had 3 shots with DE in Ukrainian Clinic. Our 3rd one brought our tiny baby boy to us on 18 May :)

I just generally tried to be healthier on the run up to my IVF cycles.  I drank plenty of water to keep myself hydrated. Ate lots of fruit and vegetables. Took my prenatal vitimins (which I always took anyway).  Unfortunatley I ended up with a BFN first 2 shots. But when I was getting ready to start my another cycle I did exactly the same thing!

I'm sure you'll get lots of tips from the lovely ladies on here!

It really is a rollercoaster!  We seem to spend an eternity having all the tests under the sun and then finally we get to start treatment!  I found the IVF cycle#1 itself was even worse! I went through lots and lots of different emotions! Though the support I got on here and there was invaluable!

Good luck with your cycle, hun!!  <3

  • We did 3 IUI cycles, Clomid, trigger and progesterone, with my RE last year. MFI  is our issue but my RE still had me make more lifestyle changes than my Dh. I cut out alcohol 100%, cut out coffee completely and took a multivitamin, fish oil, vitamin D since I was deficient and co q 10. Dh  was also supposed to take all those supplements except the co q 10 but he was supposed to take vitamin C. He took them sporadically but I didn't expect anything different.
I tried to drink more water, do things that made me happy and keep my stress levels down, easier said than done. I wasn't expecting miracles and had bfn with all 3 cycles. My first cycle was 50mg and the last 2 were 100 mg. I only ovulated one egg first cycle and two the last 2. Not sure if the Clomid dose was the biggest factor in more eggs or if the supplements made a difference.
We are on hiatus right now, my insurance coverage made updates to our IF coverage and we are waiting to see if IVF can now be an option for us. I still take my supplements because I just feel better on them.
