How are you? Tired! Adjusting to a newborn's schedule is more exhausting than I remember! That said, I'm already ready to pop out another little one before my time is up. Physically my recovery is going really well. I think that maintaining an exercise regime during pregnancy really helped.
Is you LO boy/girl? Do you want to share their name? I had a boy, and his name is Antonin Christopher.
What is life with your new LO like? I absolutely adore having a new baby. He is so sweet, and I love snuggling and nursing him and watching him grow. Taking him out in public is a ball... it's like having a puppy. Everyone wants to talk to you about your new baby! We have had a few ups and downs. He failed his hearing test at the hospital, so we were a bit concerned about that, but a visit to an audiologist confirmed that his hearing is perfect in both ears. He has also had some issues with diaper rash, which I was not expecting with such a young baby, but that seems to have cleared up for the time being. He is also gaining weight like crazy-- he has gained over 5 pounds in 6 weeks! He is a chunk!
what is the best part of having your LO in your arms? The fact that he is related to me and my husband and my children is the most wonderful feeling. He is our missing link. The day we brought him home from the hospital was the best day of my life.
words of wisdom for the "undergrads"? Expect the unexpected and be flexible. I think that pretty much sums up parenting?
This is the photo we used for our birth announcement.
Beautiful photo, and I love that you're already ready for another. I would like a second child after this, but I worry that I'll be so overwhelmed and exhausted with the first that I won't want to do it as soon as I should. (My dr already told me I'll need to start trying soon after the first, but I haven't asked him how soon that is.) Your positive words about recovery and life with the new baby make all of this a little less intimidating. Enjoy Antonin!

I love this thread! I'm already starting to get sad about missing you PG>35 ladies in a month or so. @mthoomom I love your post! Antonin is precious, and your words are perfect. I'm so happy you're recovering well and enjoying him.
Me: 40 DH: 43 Married 5/30/15 TTC #1 June 2015 BFP #1 9/28/15, EDD 6/10/16. DS born 5/23/16! TTC #2 May 2017 BFP #2 m/c 11/18/17 5w5d BFP #3 12/17/17 EDD 8/25/18. It's a boy!
How are you? - Hi Ladies, been totally MIA due to pure exhaustion and lack of time due to a newborn and toddler at home. C section recovery has been phenomenal. I have felt great. Unfortunately DS #2 has really bad reflux so we (and by we I mean me!) get no sleep. He eats, spits up most and wants to eat an hour or so later. Makes doing anything almost impossible. We have had choking/gagging spells that are beyond scary. Thankfully we saw a GI yesterday and we now have a plan in place and the proper meds. The last 12 hours have been great so I am thrilled thus far. If it wasn't for the reflux he would be the easiest most content baby.
Is you LO boy/girl? Do you want to share their name? - little boy #2 Levi Hawk
What is life with your new LO like? Life is busy! DS#1 came home with cold after a few days of being home with Levi then DH got it. I had to disinfect like a fiend and keep Levi quarantined. Then DS got sick two weeks after that with a virus and back to square one. It's been very busy and stressful but everyone is healthy now.
what is the best part of having your LO in your arms? - my little guy is so delicious and has been cooing and smiling at us for a couple weeks now. That's my favorite and pretty surprising considering DS #1 didn't start "talking" until 2 months.
words of wisdom for the "undergrads"? - Don't stress the small stuff. Sadly, once again I am not producing enough milk for this little one and have to supplement with formula but I refused to be devastated like I was with DS#1. Still pumping but only getting about half of what he eats daily. Every drop counts though right? Roll with the punches ladies and just know your plans may not pan out as expected and that's ok!
I miss you ladies!!!!! What about a Facebook group? Bumping isn't as easy after baby. Our BMB just started one and it's soooo much easier.
Here is a shot from our newborn shoot. Haven't received the proofs yet but our Photog posted this on her snapchat. This shot is a iPhone pic of the back of her camera. I cannot wait to see the remaining pics.
Gorgeous!! Great update @goldsgirl9! So sorry to hear about the reflux issues but such a relief to find a solution and hopefully you can get a bit of rest!!
@Goldsgirl9 I'm so glad you're doing well! Sorry to hear about the choking, though. My nephew had to have surgery on his esophagus the day after he was born and I wouldn't babysit him by myself because of the choking. It was scary. (He's a twin, though, so babysitting with my mom worked best anyway.)
I love the idea of doing a Facebook group. I was already doubting that I'd keep up with the Bump after the baby comes. I was thinking about friending people on FB.
I haven't been to Orange Theory in almost two weeks. I've had so many legitimate excuses, but the guilt is still killing me. I think I'm going to freeze my membership on June 20th, 6 weeks before my due date. --You look great, by the way. Love the family photo!

@Goldsgirl9 Looking fantastic and congratulations on making it thus far! My sister's baby had a lot of reflux and we had a lot of challenges that came with that, he got a lot better when he got on meds, so yay for meds that can help! FX that it will only get easier and easier for you. I got off facebook 3 months ago and I have been loving not having it in my life, but I'll get back on or make an alter ego FB for you ladies All the light and love for things getting easier and for the whole family staying healthy!
Great update, @Goldsgirl9 -- love the photo! I'm trying to book a photographer right now and am realizing that even 4 months out might be too late!
Sorry to hear about the reflux, but I absolutely agree with your "roll with it" attitude! I absolutely plan to be more flexible and more adaptable this time around. Baby will sleep when baby sleeps, etc. I wish I hadn't spent so much time sweating every little decision the first time around!
also good with a FB group. Not sure I'll do one with my BMB, but with you all--yes.
@CarrieandRoy hi there! I miss OTF and can't wait to be cleared next week although I hear no abs, planks, etc fit some time. I have the lovely c section over hang and am hating life. Levi and I just starting walking now that he'll let me leave the house. I just need to get my eating on track. I just joined ww mobile so that should assist. Don't feel guilty, go based on how you feel but I will say working out as much as I did made a huge difference in this pregnancy vs my last.
Yay for a Facebook! Who is willing to be the admin? Unfortunately once I go back to work my bumping will be nearly non existent and the site is blocked at work.
Thanks @Sporty1216 and @createillumination currently sitting at the hospital waiting to be called for his test. And yes, you need to book Photog ASAP! We booked ours 4-5 months out without an issue.
I like the idea of a fb group. I'm so excited for all the graduates and soon to be graduates, but sad thinking about how quiet this board will be getting soon!
I can poke around a bit and see if I can figure it. I think a closer group that we can search for and request entry into would work to start, and then it can transition to private?
Okay. Creating a group is super easy. BUT, I can't create it unless I have one person to add. If anyone feels brave and wants to be THAT person, PM me with your facebook name and I can try it. Please post here that you pm'd me. I don't know how to get notifications. Haha.
Okay, guys, I got it to work. PM me if you want the info about what to look for. I hope we'll keep this board alive for a while too, though, right? I'm not ready to let it go.
Thanks for figuring it out @Sporty1216! I know nothing about that stuff, either. I'll PM you for details.

@Sporty1216 pm sent! @CarrieandRoy we can totally compare OTF results once you go back after the baby. Every studio does the same work out on the same days. My sis and I loved comparing our stats.
