This is a weekly check-in for those in their 1st trimester: weeks 1 through the end of week 13. I know we've all gone through a lot to get to this point so congratulations and best of luck to all of you over the next several months!
Please post a little about yourself, your EDD (if it’s not listed below- if I left you off please let me know ) any upcoming appointments, symptoms, etc. Feel free to also share your IF journey, I know many of us can relate.
Hi all! Just stepping in this week to keep this party going. 12 weeks today! Can't believe I'm nearly out of this 1st tri. I have a MFM appt on Wednesday. It's been 2 weeks, ready to see our baby again!
QOTW: We're hoping for a boy, but my intuition tells me it's a girl lol. If you believe in superstition... Baby did have a high HR of 176 last time it was checked. Ultimately, we'll be super happy either way
GL to all those with appointments this week!
****Siggy TW**** natural pregnancy: 2008 Me: 28 (Hypothyroid), DH: 35 Together since: 2010 Married: 2013 TTC: 2013 Infertility: severe MFI, low AMH (0.5) Met RE: January 2016 ER: 3/14 (4 follies, 6 eggs retrieved, 2 fertilized) fresh 3dt of 2 embryos= BFP (1 implanted) EDD w/ baby boy= 12/6/16
QOTW: I have no idea. Every old wives tale so far (plus by ultrasound pic) points to girl, which I am hoping for. But the majority of people think we will have a boy. I'm team pink right now, haha! But I, of course, will be thrilled either way!
We have our 3rd and final u/s with our RE tomorrow morning and then its back to the real world with a regular OB!
Hi everyone. Hope you all are having a good start to your week. Had my 7 week ultrasound today. Everything is going well. Experiencing some nausea. Any tricks to making it go away? I've tried ginger ale, small meals, crackers, etc but it seems to be getting worse. I was given medication but I'm trying to avoid taking it. QOTW: We already know what we are having since we did PGS testing. Is a boy. We are excited.
Hi everyone! I can't believe I reached week 8. I'll probably be saying this each week. Haha but each week I'm so grateful to make it through. Going for an ultrasound tomorrow. Everything so far has been looking good. I honestly could care less about the sex of the baby as long as it's healthy. I've had a few friends have unhealthy babies so I really don't wan to go through that.
Hi Ladies! I've got another slow week with no appointments ahead of me. I am increasingly feeling a bit better symptom wise everyday which I am thankful for. I know I am only 11 weeks, but I feel like I am getting some sort of bump going on. It's probably still the bloat, but it's definitely more noticeable; my mom even rubbed it yesterday when she took me maternity clothes shopping! I will be 12 weeks on Saturday and going back to Baltimore (where I grew up) to be with my close friends and plan on telling them, so that's something exciting to look forward to!
QOTW: There is no doubt in my mind that I am having a boy. I will honestly be shocked if it's a girl.

Hi ladies! I have my 1st OB appt this week after graduating from the RE. I'll be right at 9 weeks which is crazy that this 1st trimester is closer to being over than beginning.
QOTW: We did PGS and we had them tell us @ our last appointment... we're having a boy! We would have been happy either way. Side note, I kind of hate when people ask if you have a preference of what you're having and that you can't just say a healthy baby. I feel like with all that we've gone through just to get pregnant, saying we just want a healthy baby is absolutely a preference.
Joyzie77- I keep crackers by my bed and have a few right when I wake up. I also bought these little candies called Preggie Pops that I like better than the ginger candies since i didn't like ginger to begin with. They seem to help keep the edge off. I also have a Relief Band that my SIL gave me. You wear it on your non-dominent hand and it sends little electric currents that block the signal from your brain telling your stomach its nauseous. I wore it on our cruise last week and it worked like a charm. I think they are about $80 though.

Hello everyone. EDD: 1/6/17 1st u/s: 6/8 Symptoms: excess thirst, excessively hungry(i.e. at least every 2 hours), some twinges and lower back pain here and there. Hi ladies! We had our 1st ultrasound Tuesday! We got to see the little sweet pea and the RE said the heartbeat looks fantastic. I needed that after the week before. Now we have to wait until June 7 or 8 for the next ultrasound.
@kuposa17 once you move on to 2nd trimester I can take over here!
QOTW: I have no gender preference, I always did want a boy first, but after this journey I just want a baby. I am pretty sure it is a girl tho! My mom also thinks girl, and so does just about everyone else.

Hello! I hope you don't mind if I jump in here! I just got confirmation with a second beta yesterday, so tomorrow we will be 5 weeks along. So crazy to think about!
Our EDD is 1/27/2017, but with how high my betas were (988 and 1648) I'm wondering if our embaby twinned on us! I guess we'll wait and see! My next blood draw is Tuesday the 31st and my 7-week U/S will likely be on June10th. I've been feeling nauseated for about a week, which I suppose could just be the meds, and I also continue to have slight cramping off and on.
We don't know if we are having a boy or a girl. Even though we did PGS testing, our RE chooses not to request the gender from the lab. We have been debating about asking for the gender now, but we'll probably just wait until the U/S can tell us.
DH and I have been trying to conceive since April 2013. Yesterday was our 4th anniversary and I got to surprise him with our BFP.

Hello everyone! Tomorrow will mark 6 weeks! Our EDD is 1/23/16
As far as symptoms, I went a couple days feeling like I couldn't get full, I was always hungry. Now that I've got a pretty good meal plan going(eating small, nutritious and healthy portions every few hours) that has gone away. Other than that I don't feel any nausea, not a lot of fatigue, not that I can tell is from pregnancy yet(I just started a new summer workshift, earlier hours and longer days).
The only symptom I really have is mild cramping, twinges, and back aches. A lot of my cramps happen on the left side, however I have almost always ovulated from my left ovary, so I wonder if it's just more sensitive or I may have a cyst?

Had my 1st OB appt yesterday. They didn't do an US b/c I've already had 2 and they said they don't like to overexpose the baby. So now I have to wait until June 16th for 12 weeks where they will also check for Down Syndrome and a few other things... They took a bunch of bloodwork so I'm waiting to hear back on those results. Hoping my thyroid is still in check. We told our family last that we are having a boy and they are so excited. This is what we sent them...

@dragonfaerie you should know how many by 7 weeks. I think people say it's possible one is "hiding" behind the other, but I'm not sure how common that is. I had a blood flow ultrasound at 4w5d and saw one sac (RE wasn't expecting to see a sac at all, and I'm not sure why I had a blood flow ultrasound, which was the true purpose of the US). My RE told me to expect to see one or two more the next week at 5w5d, and we'd know the max number then. He was shocked we are only having 1. My beta was 1075 at 16dpo (timed with trigger shot) and I think 3105 at 19dpo (my memory is fading). He gave us a 60% chance of twins, 25% chance of triplets or quads (much more likely triplets) and 15% chance of a singleton.
ETA: we had 3 or 4 mature eggs release with injects (gonal-f)
Married to DH 10/6/12
TTC since 5/14
Unexplained with (controlled) hypothyroidism and suspected ovulatory dysfunction (but, I do ovulate on my own)
Clomid 50 mg 3/15 (unmonitored) - BFN
Clomid 50 mg + metformin 4/15 (unmonitored) - BFN
First RE appt. 5/15; Natural cycle 5/15 monitored with 2 mature follicles and Pregnyl Trigger (full dose) + prometrium - BFN
6/15 HSG - clear tubes & normal uterus; great PCT test results
TI - 100 mg Clomid + prometrium (AM & PM) + vaginal estrace (AM & PM) 6-7/15 (monitored) --> no additional response and thinned lining - BFN
TI - Injectables (follistim + Gonal-F, Ganirelix, & 1/2 dose Pregnyl) + prometrium (AM & PM) 9/15 --> 3-7 mature follicles (3 definites and 4+ that could have matured due to trigger) @ O -->BFN + 5 large cysts
@riveridgional Thanks for the info! With how high my first beta was, we are wondering if our embaby twinned, but it will be good to see for sure.
