What's new with baby (size, development)? Nothing new that I know of - hoping that there's no drama in my world with my appointment today.

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? Nothing beyond looking at potential nursery décor.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Just tired - and currently a bit depressed. Nausea is fleeting now whereas it was constant in the first couple of weeks.

When is your next appointment? My next appointment is today, where they'll be doing a repeat US and seeing whether baby's HR is ok or not. Last appointment, it was 105bpm and slow and they were on the fence whether things were fine or not. I'm terrified of bad news today but trying to remember that I've got no other indication that there's something wrong.

GTKY: If money were not an issue, what would your dream job be? I'd own a lay-up facility for horses recovering from surgery, illness, etc. I MISS the horse world (I was an equine vet for a long time) but would love a slower pace. But I'd also have the staff to be able to take weekends off and vacations, which is not always possible in the horse world

What's new with baby (size, development)? At 5 weeks baby is the size of an appleseed, peppercorn, red lentil, or BB pellet. Baby has a tail!

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? I am thinking about de-cluttering my house. I listed a couch that is in the guest bedroom/nursery for sale yesterday. And I am having fun looking at bedside co-sleepers and strollers.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Sore BB's, occasional indigestion, tired.

When is your next appointment? First U/S is June 7th. So far away!

GTKY: If money were not an issue, what would your dream job be? I would open an animal rescue and save all of the animals!

What's new with baby (size, development)? 6 weeks today so the size of a sweet pea

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? Not yet.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: This isn't pregnancy related but I threw my back out yesterday and am still in so much pain. I hate when this happens. Of course, I can't do much for it since I'm pregnant. Just have to ride it out. Pregnancy symptoms are pretty much just sore nipples and low appetite. I get really hungry but can't eat much before I'm full.

When is your next appointment? I have my first u/s next Thursday, the 2nd!

GTKY: If money were not an issue, what would your dream job be? I always wanted to be a children's author.

What's new with baby (size, development)? 6 weeks Baby is as big as a sweet pea. Baby's also circulating blood with an increasingly more sophisticated circulatory system. Baby's about to get cuter too, since he or she is starting to sprout a nose, eyes, ears, chin and cheeks And baby might even be wiggling his or her (paddle-like) hands and feet.

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? We are moving next month, just looking @ furniture that will work in our new place

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Swollen and tender boobs , occasional nausea and just so tired. Also a little constipation, which coffee helped, but would like some other natural remedy and definitely not Prunes!!

When is your next appointment? My first appt is June 14th and they don't do US on first visit.

GTKY: If money were not an issue, what would your dream job be? I would love to live on a huge farm, so I could have a cat and dog rescue.

What's new with baby (size, development)? 8 weeks!

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? thinking really hard about what to do about turning our guest room into DD's new room before baby gets here.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I can't complain too much about symptoms because I know it could be worse. Still tired and hungry but NOTHING sounds good to me. Blah.

When is your next appointment? Just had one this morning. Baby is doing perfectly in there! I have my blood draw for the Panorama test in two weeks.

GTKY: If money were not an issue, what would your dream job be? A sommelier. I love wine so much

What's new with baby (size, development)? 8 Weeks, raspberry maybe

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? I am so overwhelmed I am taking each day at a time

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I think I have a UTI, I called my nurse and she was going to talk with the dr. to see if I need meds.

When is your next appointment? June 2, Dr. Apt and Sonogram!

GTKY: If money were not an issue, what would your dream job be? I am not really sure, I would have said gardener/florist in the past

Your positive thoughts work so many, many thanks. Baby is fiiiiiine!!!! Heart rate of 164bpm and good growth in a week. I didn't realize how much i was prepping myself for bad news until I heard that strong fast heartbeat and bust into tears. So so happy!

(sorry for the AW cross post with appt thread).

What's new with baby (size, development)? 7 weeks

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? buying an adjustable bed with vibrating massage. Hope it works wonders for both of us

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Carbs. Need to eat All the Carbs. This pregnancy is so much easier than the last one though (DD Nov 2014)

When is your next appointment? 6/7. I had an u/s last week at 5 weeks 6 days. HB was 100. So far, so good!

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? nope, haven't even thought about it

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Not much, mild intermittent cramps, maybe a bit of nausea at times, sore nipples

When is your next appointment? First appointment 6/13. Might have some friends ultrasound me next week just to see...

GTKY: If money were not an issue, what would your dream job be? I don't know, I like my job (hospitalist)! Maybe would just do it a bit less and only work day shifts or something. Travel medicine seems fun too, so maybe I would do that a few weeks per year.
