Trouble TTC

Failed Provera challenge - experience?

It's officially been 4 weeks since last pill or Provera and no AF. Really nervous.

*TMI*

had heavy dark brown spotting for three weeks, it stopped for exactly one week and came back. I got all my hopes up thinking it was AF but no. Same yucky brown discharge endlessly!!!

Any experience with failing the progesterone challenge? I'm seeing endo on weds but keep googling my wit away to find any experince stories but all that comes up is hypothalamic amenorrhea, uteran blockage, or premature ovarian failure :(

help, TIA!!!

Re: Failed Provera challenge - experience?

  • Don't panic! Ask your doc to try a month of bcp and see if that starts your cycle. I know you probably don't want to go on bcp but you may need the estrogen in combo with progesterone to get a withdrawal bleed. I know it's easy to Doctor Google things and think the worst but try not to freak out before you have all the answers.
