Where did your bump/nest name come from?

This board is so great--I'm curious to know where you got your bump/nest name from? Mine is boring--it's the same one I had when I originally signed up for the nest. My maiden name is Shade and everyone called me shady. 06 is the year I got married. What about you?

Great question!! Mine is from my knot days, too . . . my DH's nickname from childhood through high school was Beef.. I didn't meet him until we were both in our late 20s and I thought it was so funny that his old friends called him this! I was trying to think of something creative when setting up my Knot ID (but a little freaked to use my real name at the time), so I used his nickname and thus became "beefsbride".

I hate thinking up screen names.

I love coffee. I mean REALLY love. Like have travelled to Central America and other locales to learn about coffee farming and trading. DH is as much of a fanatic. Our dog's name is Dunkin (as in the Donuts).

When I got pregnant, I likened him / her to a little bean. A coffee bean.

Mine is so embarrassing and stupid - I wish I could change it, but I feel like I'm kind of stuck - LOL. ?Anyway, I was watching a rerun of the movie "Anchorman" as I was setting up my Nest name - and, feeling uninspired at the time, I ripped off one of the lines from that movie, when Will Ferrell reads the altered cue card: "I'm Ron Burgundy?." ?That movie cracks me up.

I started out with a different screen name using my name and DH's but didn't want people IRL finding my posts because they were on the nest too. ?My name is unique so it would have been easy for friends to figure out it was me. ?When I made my new screen name I had been TTC for about 5-6 months and kept thinking knock me up already! ?Little did I know my TTC journey would take much longer! ?So that's how I picked it. ?Kinda silly

Mine is from my Knot days as well. I love ladybugs and my favorite color is blue, so when I find a blue ladybug, I snatch it up for my collection. I also have a blue ladybug tattoo on my hip from my post divorce days.

Back when I was dating H he lived 2 hours away from me and I was working nights for awhile and TONS of OT. One Saturday evening he was at my house when I was working, and decided to help me with a home improvement project.

My sis (who was living with me) called me at work to tell on him "WHAT IS HE DOING? He's going to hurt himself! He's being Mr. Destructo and tearing down a wall!"

About an hour later H called and asked "Where is the closest hospital?" Super Angry The big doofus cut his hand on a broken shard of mirror and needed stitches. I ended up leaving work to drive him to the hospital and we spent most of the night in the ER.

The next weekend he was helping me with another project, fell off a ladder and landed on a saguaro cactus - and he drove a cactus needle through a knuckle on the same friggin hand. It was a nightmare - he had to have a hand surgeon dig the d@mned needle out of his knuckle.

So the name Mr. Destructo stuck. But the thing is, he's not much more accident prone than I am I hurt myself all the time too, but I haven't had to go to the ER because of it in a long, long time. So he's been calling me Mrs Destructo since our wedding day.

My husband and I met performing a play together 8 years ago. We played opposite leads and had our first kiss on stage before we were dating.

Our wedding was theatre themed as well. So that's where DramaGirl comes into play. The 06 part is the year we got married.

When I was signing up for my knot/nest name I was sick and on the couch in front of the TV. I had tried a million names and all were taken. Reruns of Gilmore Girls were on, I looked up and saw the sign for the "Dragon Fly Inn" typed it in and it worked.

Not very exciting.

Well, there are a bunch of things rolled into me. My family is Irish and in Ireland, when you have a 6th sense about things (spirits and the like), it's called having the Fae. I have collected Faeries for years now- my GmaIL used to send me them for christmas. So, that's the fae/faery. StarGazer Lilys are my favorite flower- named my Lilly after Star Gazers. So, FaeryStarGazer-- voila!

Mine is amazingly boring..."K" is my first initial and McClelland is my last name. ?You can tell that I put a ton of thought and effort into coming up with a screen name and didn't even consider that people from "real life" might find me on here. ?Whoops! ?I guess I shouldn't talk trash about anyone I know since they could easily identify me!

My name is back from my days on the knot. My name is Melissa so that is the Mel part and Zull is from the first 4 letters of my maiden name. I have thought about changing it when I switched to the nest, but it was more work at the time then I really wanted to put into it.
