Sudden dry, cracked lips?

hello, I thought I was drinking enough liquid but maybe this means I'm not. with zero warning, I have awoken to lips that look terrible. They are so bad there is a dark red spot like blood?? Is this common?

I feel like my life over the next year is going to be a bunch of "suddenly, without a warning...".

Honestly, I've had the worst skin problems with this pregnancy. Dry, cracked lips but only at the edges and I can't seem to resolve it no matter how much moisturizer/chapstick I use. Also, my skin is suddenly reacting to all my makeup and facial moisturizer I've used for years. This hasn't happened to me in previous pregnancies so threw me for a loop but I literally have skin on my eyelids flaking because they got so inflamed from my moisturizer.

Ah, the joys of pregnancy! Always keeps you guessing!

I have really dry cracked lips too and that's not normal for me. I am so dry that the edge of my lips is cracking and causing a bit of a rash.

My skin has cleared up a ton since pregnancy and I think it's because I usually have oily skin but lately it's dryer

Mine have been so dry lately too. I'm upping my water intake but I can't seem to stay ahead of it. Hopefully our skin calms down as we get through this first trimester.

I'm in this boat too- cracked, bloody, gross chapped lips for weeks. So fun!! ::eyeroll::
