Upcoming appointments? Nothing till next Thursday on the 26th -- our Level 2 anatomy scan. Can't come fast enough!
Rants/Raves/Questions? I want these headaches to go away but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? HORRID headaches. No weird or crazy cravings, besides Twizzlers and Tootsie Rolls. Random lol. Chicken is still an issue.
GTKY: Do you have family or friends nearby who will be there to help after the baby’s born? I have plenty of family to help, my parents will be coming up from Florida to stay with us till after the holidays, my DH mom will be around quit a bit too and my 26 yr old niece lives with us so she'll be a HUGE help. This will definitely make me feel more confident of being a FTM, knowing that I will have so much support.
TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year.

Upcoming appointments? Anatomy scan tomorrow! Tomorrow!! Can't wait and hoping baby cooperates so we can know if we're Team Blue or Team Pink. I have NO idea.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Going to ask about a 3D ultrasound tomorrow since my doctor doesn't do them normally. There's a woman who has an office within my OB's office but is a separate business. Then need to check on insurance....
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Still not a huge fan of grilled/baked chicken. The cravings for sweets have calmed down...some.
GTKY: Do you have family or friends nearby who will be there to help after the baby’s born? My crazy MIL lives in town, so she is here all the time and will be helpful when I need her, just hoping she realizes there will be some boundaries before I have to lay down the law. My mom will come for at least the first 2 weeks and stay with us. I'm sure she will be back pretty often as they have a vacation home here so she doesn't have to be in our house all the time. And I have lots of friends who are already mommies around here.

Upcoming appointments? Counting down the days to the 31st. That's our big anatomy scan.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Headaches and neck pain have made the second trimester so much worse than the first for me.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I have had a salad aversion since early on. I wish it would go away because not pregnant me loves
salads.
GTKY: Do you have family or friends nearby who will be there to help after the baby’s born? My boyfriends parents live close by so they will be there whenever we need help. I know my mom is going to want to come stay with us but I don't want anyone staying in our home for a while after the baby is born.

Nothing really. Just looking forward to tomorrow. Well maybe a minor rant: Depending on what I have on, you can't always tell I'm pregnant yet. In a meeting with a client last week a co-worker just busted out the news to the client and I was (and still am) super pissed. I don't want to talk about it with strangers! And I especially don't want to have to play this "I'm a girly girl and I love gushing about baby stuff all the time OMG so happeeeeee!" game. So until it's really obvious that I'm pregnant, please don't fucking mention it. I was so pissed I cried the whole way home.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
Nothing really weird, other than a cold that won't ever go away. Although I'm still kind of grossed out by the idea of a salad, which is weird for me.

Kind of. My mom's retiring at the end of the year, but I hope she has like a week of vacation in October to help. Otherwise it might be my MIL, which, yay for the help, but I hate when she's in my house doing things in general, so that will be a challenge for me. But whatever. Small price to pay for help I guess.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I've still been riding on se joy of last weeks apt where I got to see LO being so active and their heart beating strong.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I'm still so tired most of the time. I'm also have aversions to the regular local foods that are staples here which is def hard.
GTKY: Do you have family or friends nearby who will be there to help after the baby’s born? We literally live on the same lot as DH's parents and a ton of his siblings live near by. Culturally his mom will be around all the time/helping with everything for at LEAST the first three months. I mean cooking all meals, doing all the laundry (by hand I'll add), caring for me, ect. ect. We'll see how much I can handle.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm a little worried right now... I had kidney pain last week that was bad enough to wake me up, break me out in a sweat and make me nauseous. The MD couldn't find any reason without scans and such so I've been doing some digging and found that kidney issues is a starter sign for preeclampsia. I've also had increased swelling and my BP was quite a bit higher than normal last time I was at the office to check on the kidney thing. I realize that all of this could just be normal pregnancy stuff, but my mind has run off with the worry about preeclampsia. Here's to hoping for a lower BP tomorrow and no protein during the urine check... eek!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? still can't really eat much meat. I'm starting to feel like that's just going to be the case until after delivery.
GTKY: Do you have family or friends nearby who will be there to help after the baby’s born? TONS...we are so fortunate here. My parents are about 1.5 hrs away but I know my mom will likely take some time off to come help out. DH's parents are 10 mins up the road and then I have some wonderful friends that I know will be there at the drop of a hat to support us
Size: pomegranate? Also 5 inches. I'm not good with measurements, but 5 in seems like a huge size for a pomegranate.
Appointments: not until 6/3. I scheduled the AS for my birthday. I can't wait to see him again!
Rants/Raves: pregnancy rage is real, yo. All. The. Time.
Symptoms: I'm still pretty tired and nauseous. I was hoping that would start to fade after 1st trimester, but nope. Not for me.
Gtky: we're about 45 min away from family, but we're looking at a house today that is just down the street from my sister and my parents. I'm not sure what we're going to do. We're in a nice neighborhood now with lots of kids, but I'm thinking with 2 under 2 we might need the help.

Upcoming appointments? ...June 1st we have our next US. I am guessing that is normally called an anatomy scan, i don't know if that's what we call it in Canada but excited to see how babe is progressing! And excited to keep babe gender a surprise!
Rants/Raves/Questions? I feel ya @rebeccuh I am not quite there with the convo's yet! I also don't look pregnant 100% yet, I am chubbier and I've actually lost 10 pounds so far but my tummy is more...hard than just a chub now lol. I think when i feel/look pregnant i'll feel more comfortable talking about it! I had a coworker literally tell my boss she thought i was pregnant (luckily boss already knew). i pretty much cried all day too! Can you say invasion of privacy!!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? They've gotten so much better in last few weeks! I never had morning sickness (so lucky i know) just severe nausea if i let myself get hungry and wanted only ice cream, ichi ban or KD.... i still frequent the KD and ice cream as a treat
GTKY: Do you have family or friends nearby who will be there to help after the baby’s born? Yes we live in the same city as both inlaws so i think we'll be ok with lots of help! I'm kind of a spazz and really only my mum and husband can deal so maybe my mum will stay with us first few days or just come over every day ahahah incase i don't know wtf i'm doing...which is how i feel!!

Rants/Raves/Questions? i am so tired of dry heaves and morning pukes. They came back a week and a half ago after being gone for 5 weeks.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I dont want anything right now and it's a struggle to find anything to eat. Carbs are generally okay but everything else is a big no.
GTKY: Do you have family or friends nearby who will be there to help after the baby’s born not really. A bit more than last time since my mom isn't working and will have my toddler while im in the hospital and we are a bit closer this time so she will pop by. Last time I got a short visit from a few people but no one did anything to help me and after surgery all I wanted was a nap and someone to cook for us. This time I am being more restrictive on visits and I won't be entertaining people like they expected last time.

Upcoming appointments? I had my a/s yesterday and my OB today which is why I'm a day late with this. Found out I'm having a boy
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I'm fighting a cold which sucks, but the congestion on my chest is making me vomit in the morning, but that was happening even before I caught my cold. Totally sucks. The only real food aversion is pizza (I can have it sometimes but not much), Mountain Dew (goes down great, doesn't stay down though) and there is another one I can't remember (uh oh!)

Rants/Raves/Questions? Insurance is a real pain in the butt. Dealing with crazy bills because half of my appointments are Maternal Fetal Medicine, which is in a hospital, so it's not going through as doctor's appointments but as outpatient facility hospital visits. Which are not cheap. And now causing me to spend lots of time on the phone with insurance people who all have something different to say....
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Popsicles!! They were a staple getting through the first trimester nausea...now I'm just addicted to them. Love the Edy's Sugar-Free fruit pops - we're talking 2-3 a day.
GTKY: Do you have family or friends nearby who will be there to help after the baby’s born? My husband's family is all around us, like a town or two over. But, what I'm most psyched about is my mom is going to move down here by the end of the year (from upstate NY to South Jersey) to watch the baby when I go back to work! SO grateful I don't have to start figuring out daycare...and so excited to have her around! I haven't lived in the same city as her in 10 years, so it will be so nice to have her so close again.

Dealing with a lot of low back pain lately. I think I pulled something attempting a workout after skipping a couple months instead of it being a symptom.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
My cravings change week to week. This week it's been oranges and OJ, edamame, and white chocolate Reese's cups. I've had weeks where I've craved green grapes, watermelon, ice cream,olives, cereal and chip and dip. No real food aversions, but surprisingly, I don't crave my normal guilty pleasure foods like Chinese food and buffalo wings.
GTKY: Do you have family or friends nearby who will be there to help after the baby’s born?
My family lives about 5 hours away so I probably won't have much help unless they are visiting.
What size is baby? Artichoke,slingshot, ours is 10oz.

Rants/Raves/Questions? We had our anatomy scan on Tuesday and we are having a boy! So excited because I have my 18 month old girl, so this will be fun.

I also have a 12 year old step daughter so she's pretty excited to help. She's already an amazing big sister to my little one, so I'm sure she'll be helpful.

Rants/Raves/Questions? My rave is that I graduated from college this past Saturday and I am so excited to be done with school.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Over the past couple of weeks I want In-N-Out all the time and I can not get enough of coke icees!
GTKY: Do you have family or friends nearby who will be there to help after the baby’s born? My husband and I both have family that live close to us. I know they will all be around to help out when needed and my best friend who lives an hour 1/2 away comes home every weekend and will be right around the corner. Needless to say we will have plenty of help!
