I missed all of you ladies while I was gone last week. On the one hand, it was great to not have any cell service and disconnect from the world for a little while with DH. We had a great time in Alaska but I definitely missed all of the connections with you ladies. Sounds like there were some big weeks for some of the ladies here!

I have my first appt with the OB on Thursday. I'll be right at 9 weeks and I'm still nervous every time I go in. My RE only saw us through week 6 so it's been almost 3 weeks since the last appointment. We are waiting until Thursday to tell our family what we are having but we took a really cute picture while we were on vacation showing the little boy shoes in front of the glacier saying "I survived the Ice Age." Plus my parents are coming into town this weekend so I know my mom is going to want to go crazy shopping for her grandson.

@Griffin5413 welcome back! Hope you had an amazing trip! I love your "I survived the Ice Age" picture idea.

@vssbrm good luck today! Is this your first heartbeat appointment?

AFM - just got the call. Beta #3 came back at 5,849! I'm really happy with the number. I'd go back next Tuesday for the heartbeat appointment, but DH and I decided to take a last minute European cruise, so we'll be away next week. Which means I have to wait 2 weeks for my next appointment. Hoping vacation can take my mind off it, but I already can't wait to come back.

So happy for all who had great appointments today! And super jeally of vacations and cruises  :)

AFM- I'm 5w6d (based off of LMP) today and all they could see was the gestational sac. My doc thinks he sees a yolk sac but it's not clear on the ultrasound and said it could just be too early and that some "uteruses aren't as photogenic" praying he's right! Beta #3 won't be in until after 3pm. Praying little bean is all good and just being dramatic already LOL

@vssbrm Thanks! I'm excited since I've never been on a Mediterranean cruise before. We leave from Barcelona, then go to Cartagena, Gibraltar, Marseille, Genoa, Florence/Pisa and end in Rome. I've only been to Florence out of all these places, so looking forward to exploring the rest. Glad to hear your appointment went well today. I commented on another thread, but my next appointment is June 7th also. Really hoping we get to hear the heartbeat then. I'll be anxiously waiting!

@tulips29 Your cruise sounds AMAZING!! The weather should be perfect.

Congrats @laur1212 on your third beta!!

@ultratomato So awesome that you got to see both heartbeats!! Beautiful pic of the babes.

@vssbrm So happy your ultrasound went great!!

@drove2u Yay for an awesome Ultrasound!!

AFM- I am awaiting the results of my 4th beta. They've all been great! Taken every 2 days starting at 8dp5dt and they were: 81, 295 and then 891 on Sunday.

    MC mentioned

**Question** I am thinking of going in for an U/S on Friday at 5w1d just to see the sac or sacs. Good idea or should I just wait until 7 weeks? last time I went in at 6w1d and had a major freak-out bc the doc was worried - unfortunately, it ended with a MMC. I want to reassure myself but I also don't want to freak myself out. I know at 5w1d all that you should be able to see is the sac, right?

@susykat77 yes when I went in for my first us at 5 weeks the doc was like we're only looking for a sac today. We saw fetal pole too but he was like we're not expecting to see much today.
Has anyone here actually heard a heartbeat yet? I've only been able to see them not hear them.
  • Options
Drove2u - I have only seen the heartbeat too. I should be having an u/s Thursday at my appointment but I think 9 weeks is still too early. I've been reading that we can usually hear between 10-12 weeks but I'm not sure about that. I'll let you know after my appt Thursday though

This might be a very silly question, but I thought you actually get to HEAR the heartbeat way sooner than 10-12 weeks. You only get to see it until then?

@tulips29 you are going to some fantastic places!! Rome is my fave! My prof. Is in Architecture, as part of my schooling I lived there for a summer. Loved every moment. I hope you have more than 1 day there. Barcelona is stunning too. Pisa is a cute little town! Florence is beautiful as well. There is a little olive oil shop near the leather markets that is amazing. And the best gelato is in Florence! I'm so jealous, I have not been back to Europe since my nephew was baptized (lives in Switzerland). Enjoy! It's a beautiful time of year to be there.

@capps42613 thanks for posting in the other thread about this group.
It's early for me but I feel like this is a nice group to join.
-What road did you take to get your BFP (ie IUI, IFV, etc)?IUI 1: bfp, only made it to 1st beta, ended in ectopic
IUI 2-8: bfn. I should add that my insurance required me to have at least 7 IUI's before going on to IVF
    IVF/FET 1 bfn
    FET 2: BFP
-When is your due date?According to the websites twin due date is 1/6/17. I'll hopefully find out at my first u/s appointment in 2 weeks
-Anything else you want to share?I'm excited to join this group as I know you ladies are supportive. Thank you for supporting me on my journey
    1) Where are you from (whatever you're comfortable sharing)
NY: Westchester county, CT: Fairfield county
    2) What's your career/profession?
    Nurse
    3) How did you & DH (or partner) meet?
We met when I used to go to study groups during nursing school.

I will try to catch up on all the posts shortly. It's really nice joining you ladies.
