Hi ladies,
Here's the weekly update for those of us July 16 mamas who are pregnant after a loss or whom have delivered ❤️ their rainbow(s).
Status Update: Weeks + Days
What's up next: Appointments, milestones, etc:
Rants/Raves/Symproms:
GTKY: If you could move anywhere in the world tomorrow where would you go? And if you stay, why?
Re: 5/23 PGAL Check-In
What's up next? Growth scan tomorrow, last of the biweekly appointments next week. This is also my last week of work for 13 months
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: The usual discomforts. My fella shifted down a little bit yesterday so I had some rib relief and insatiable hunger, I'm assuming my stomach was less squished. I felt like a teenage boy. We have everything we need for him now so I've been washing linens and newborn clothes. Next week we are going to set up him sleeping space in our room. It's really starting to feel like we will get to take a baby home.
GTKY: Anywhere with warm open water I could float in.
34+2
What's up next: Appointments, milestones, etc:
Midwife appt on Wednesday
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
Symptoms are being dominated by pelvic pain this week, though insomnia, back pain, heartburn, smooshed bladder are all still at play as well.
Our nursery is almost done! After our shower last weekend we went and did a shopping trip for the remaining items on the list and got everything pretty much put away and assembled. I'm waiting on a few more online orders and I need to finish cleaning in there and hanging stuff on the walls, but then it will actually be done. Which means I can spend the last few weeks relaxing. I am running out of steam for all these projects!
GTKY: If you could move anywhere in the world tomorrow where would you go? And if you stay, why?
To a cabin out on the mountain, preferably near water.
What's up next: Appointments, milestones, etc: We had our intensive child birthing class on Saturday which was super informative and gave a ton of insight on what to expect and what's to come. Thursday I have my every other week appt. Saturday we are going to a place called "Meet the Baby" where they do 3D/4D ultra sounds. Looking forward to that and then Sunday we are doing Maternity Photos.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Raves- My husband is the best he started painting Ava's nursery for me yesterday. I cant be on my feet too long they start to hurt so he has been amazing with everything. Symptoms - Still dealing with swelling in my feet and ankles that effect when I am standing I get pains in my calves almost like I have been working out all day but haven't. They just feel weak
GTKY: If you could move anywhere in the world tomorrow where would you go? And if you stay, why? I really enjoy living in Florida. However, this heat right now...is slowly killing me

What's up next: Appointments, milestones, etc:
Appointment today, had hospital tour and baby shower this weekend, so next big baby thing is the baby himself! Eep!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
So. Sore. Getting out of bed is a sport and I am peeing all the freaking time. Feeling huge and waddling. So you know, just pregnant! But it's our last week of school, so Thursday is my last day of work! Woohoo!
GTKY: If you could move anywhere in the world tomorrow where would you go? And if you stay, why?
I would stay here in good ol Indiana. I love being close to family and I like living where I feel at home. Plus, I would much rather vacation in exciting places than live in them, so I feel no need to go live somewhere super cool.
What's up next: Appointments, milestones, etc: Check-up next week on Tuesday. My next milestone goal is 35 weeks.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Tired, so tired. I stayed in bed yesterday until about 2pm and slept for most of that. The downside of so much sleeping is that it makes my legs and hips ache so bad. LO is moving, but not as active as a couple weeks ago. I'm trying to reassure myself that it's probably because he's running out of room in there and that there were no indications of problems at the hospital last week. I keep thinking that the way I'm feeling right now reminds me so much of first tri. Physically and mentally I'm really struggling.
GTKY: If you could move anywhere in the world tomorrow where would you go? And if you stay, why? I'd like to move back to NH to be close to my family. The downside of this is that we'd move away from my husband's family so while I would be happy, he would feel the way I do now. It's a no win
Married: October 2014
TTC #1 since September 2015
10 days postpartum (should be 31+3)
What's up next: Appointments, milestones, etc:
aw pic showing that the IV is out and we are trying to not have the cpap tubes in her nose!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
today the doctors called her a superstar
GTKY: If you could move anywhere in the world tomorrow where would you go? And if you stay, why?
maybe not tomorrow but I would want to live by the ocean somewhere. Maybe Maine. I could just sit and watch the waves all day.
What's up next: Hospital tour tonight, and last birthing class tomorrow! After my 6/6 appointment, I'll be going weekly!!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: The struggle is real, when it comes to staying awake. This week is going to be TERRIBLE for me, I just know it. We were super busy this weekend. I'm exhausted and it's only Monday at 8am. I wake up pretty sore every morning.
On a side note - I am super excited to not have to worry about getting up for work, and start my leave in a couple weeks, but I'm nervous I'm going to go crazy that first month! I haven't NOT worked since I was 18. I'd love some ideas on things you all plan to do to keep yourselves occupied!! I have some things I've saved for myself for that time, but it's not going to be enough.
GTKY: If you could move anywhere in the world tomorrow where would you go? And if you stay, why? My husband and I have always said once retirement life starts, we're getting the heck out of CA. We've talked about the south......Carolinas, or Colorado. I'd love to live overseas too. I wouldn't mind France or Spain! The only thing keeping us here now is friends and family. We're both super adventurous people.
Status Update: 34w2d
What's up next: OB appt on Thursday... We also had a small shower on Saturday, with just a few friends who live in town. It felt like the right size to be comfortable. I asked for baby books mostly so we now have a nice little library
R/R/S: Rant - My friend/officemate/pregnancyconsultant is leaving work tomorrow (moving out of town) so it's going to be a hard adjustment not to have her as a sounding board! Rave - The LO's been moving a bit more, so I feel better, though I'm looking forward to appt with OB. Also, husband put together some furniture this weekend - we have a crib, a bassinet, and a glider, it was pretty emotional to see them... Symptoms - My stomach has been really upset over the past 5 days. I think it's related to iron supplements and not drinking enough leading to everything being irritated and kind of blocked down there (or maybe I ate something bad, who knows...). Every time I eat I get some very unpleasant digestive cramps. Hoping this will go away soon because I was finally enjoying being able to eat normally and I don't like being restricted again!
GTKY: Right now I'd say England in order to live closer to my family who is in Europe. If getting closer to family wasn't a factor then I'd say California, probably Bay Area, by the beach
What's up next: down to every other week appointments. Got the list from midwife about what to order for supplies and getting the house ready. We had the baby shower Saturday and were blessed with so much awesome stuff! DH got the dresser built and we can now start putting the boxes and boxes of clothes away! Only pooper, when we went to covert DS bed back to the crib we couldn't find the right back of bolts. So DH tried the ones we did have and they aren't quite right. So he will be hunting Home Depot to try and find the right size. Good thing bedding is still 2 weeks out.
R/R/S: I cannot sleep. Like ever. I'm insanely exhausted and my house is in disarray from trying to get the rooms shuffled. I can't keep up with it all anymore. We are interviewing a cleaning lady Wednesday.
GTKY: like @TiffRox81we want out of California. DH has had offers in NC, TX and CO. I refuse to move back to a place with cold winters after living in UT for most of my life so after baby is born and DH finishes his degree (probably a year out) we will look at Charlotte or Houston areas.
@mamabish she is so precious!!!

What's up next? next OB appt next week, baby shower on Saturday
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I am tired!!!! I try to sleep in on weekends but I'm just ridiculously uncomfortable no matter what I do. My hips hurt, my arms hurt I'm so over sleeping on my left side and the snoogle isn't helping my neck at all! Baby is still moving a lot but I can tell he doesn't have that much more room. Is anyone else getting hot flashes? I feel like I'm a sweaty mess sometimes.
GTKY: I would love to live by a beach but in a city or in the suburbs. But I like where I live now and I love being close to family.

@MamaBish I am swooning hard over here, she is so sweet!
Status Updat: 32+6
What's up next: MFM appointment and NST on Thursday.
R/r/s: so sore. Charlie horse cramps in not only legs but also arms and hands. Tired, sweaty, but feeling incredibly blessed to be all these things. Sitting or laying in bed help!
GTKY: I'd stay where I am (city wise but maybe move to a close suburb or ideally have outdoor space.) BUT... I would love a second home in the South of Spain on the water. I miss living there.
What's up next: Appointments, milestones, etc: No appts. or anything special this week.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Hips. I need new ones because these suck. I love her rolling around in there! I'm tired and just want to sleep all day in my hammock.
GTKY: If you could move anywhere in the world tomorrow where would you go? And if you stay, why? My dream has always been to move to NC and buy a farm outside if Wilmington. That way I'd have my dream farm, be near the beach and if we wanted visit the mountains on a regular basis.
@MamaBish she is just precious! I'm so happy she's doing so well!
