Doona Car Seat/Stroller

I know we have a separate thread about car seats, and there was one post about the Doona, but I was curious if anyone has had any personal experience or comments about it. Is anyone else considering getting one?

    I don't have any personal experience. IMO, the high price tag doesn't compensate for the features it provides and it's very heavy.

    It doesn't have a basket which is a deal breaker for me even if I wanted to spend that much money on an infant seat (which I don't).

    I was the one who posted about it originally. It is expensive. My BIL and SIL swear by theirs, and I think they feel great about their choice. It was for baby #2. My experience using it on occasion is that it has great maneuverability and is pretty easy to operate with only one hand. That being said, I am a FTM and don't have a ton of stroller critiquing to offer.

    That looks amazing! I would totally get one if this was our first child, however, this is our  third and final. We have an Orbit baby that we have been using since our first child. It was expensive but over 3 kids, the convenience was definitely worth it!

    @Meether - just double-checking....are you sure this seat isn't expired, or soon to be if you've used it that long?  Also, have you checked to make sure your model wasn't part of the recall?

    Thanks for the responses!  I'll probably end up looking more, but it is such a cool concept!

    I'm drooling over the Nuna Tavo/Pipa combo.  And all the reviews I've read are great, so unless something distracts me I'm probably headed that direction.

    I just watched the you tube video, looks nice!  I like how it folds so tight but pops back up too.  And the extra shade coverage is great.
