Hello! I'm new to this site and my husband and I have been TTC. I am 41 and he is almost 44. I was really excited to see a place for those of us 35-plus to share this journey. It's been a bit of a roller coaster but I refuse to give up faith! We have a daughter who we conceived when I was 38 so we are a bit more nervous this time around as three years have passed but we are praying for a sibling for her. Anyway I'm excited to share support and get support from you all!

  • Thanks ladies for the welcomes! This 2WW turned 3WW (with spotting but no REAL AF yet) is making me crazy. Rough night last night after I had a little new red blood when using bathroom so I don't know what to think anymore. I've got this cycle and one more before my husband leaves til end of August and that puts me at 42yo. Just a little stressed, thanks for listening!
  • hopefully it works out for you. Fingers Crossed!

  • Thanks! I just called dr to try and get blood test bc spotting has completely stopped but BFN again this morning. But since we moved here to Iowa from NY recently, I haven't established obgyn care here yet SO for liability reasons I have to establish as a new patient first. First available appt was May 11 so I took it and am to call back IF I get a BFP before that. Stressful morning with DH ( he's in an intense graduate school program so we are both very stressed) and he informed me during a heated discussion that the stress of this is just too much and he thinks we should stop trying til he's done with school in a year. Keep in mind I turn 42 in September...ugh. Anyhow, we talked through what we've been each feeling stress wise and we just both hope that this is our month. I will bring up the other part about continuing to try or not at a later point but for today I am just holding on to hope that until AF is here, maybe just maybe a little bean might be in there. Praying!!! This whole process really does a number on us doesn't it? I'm all over the place emotionally. Sorry if I'm too long winded btw but I have nobody to talk to about this except on here so here I am!  :)
  • I totally get where you're at...my 2.5 ww is killing me...with spotting just like you, but no AF.  I caved and bought a bunch of cheap tests and all have been BFN.  It all really does take its toll...especially the older we get...the time just crunches and makes the stress level go up and up.  I hope you have something going on and that this is your month!  Good luck!

As for the long-winded...I always feel that way when I post on here, too.  But when you don't talk about it with anyone in your life, then it tends to come out here!

  • @jennh75b thanks for your words and yeah we sure are in a similar place, that's why I'm so glad I just discovered this board after all these roller coaster cycles. T&P for you that this is your month!

I can relate. Last TWW I was late, no AF, multiple BNF, spotting, and ready to go bonkers! This board totally helped. If I talk to DH too much about TCC, it stresses him out - really helps to have some kind of outlet to vent! Hope this is your month @momifbysea and @jennh75b ! GL!
