Morning sickness life saver!!

I'm pregnant with my 3rd and have a history of terrible, bed ridden morning sickness (really all day long sickness). I tried ginger beer yesterday and I now swear by it! It's non alcoholic and all natural. If you are desperate or even just a little annoyed with how nauseated you feel try it! You won't regret it! Hope this helps someone out there

@saladflambe - how about frozen banana pieces? They were a life saver for me today!

  • Sometimes carbonation bothers me too but if you pour a cup of soda back and forth between two cups it gets flat and then you can sip it without having that heartburn/reflux feeling. Good luck!
  • Thanks for the tip - if I get m/s again this time I will definitely try it!  I like ginger beer

  • Try Preggie Pops! I've been miserablely sick for about a week throwing up and everything found these at babies r us today and feel soo much better! I hope the relief lasts because I have no idea how women put up with this for months! I'm only 6 weeks and feel like I am dying!
  • @khlowigginton I'm a firm preggy popper too. I've got fibromyalgia so I'm nauseas often when not pregnant and I started the preggy pops with my fibro and have carried them into my nausea and vomiting with pregnancy. The ginger flavored pops seem to help the most, yet I will admit, if you're beyond nauseas, you'll likely need to suck on one after another. In the afternoon when my sickness is the worst I'm popping those suckers in my mouth one after the other to avoid throwing up. Good thing they taste good!
  • the gin-gin ginger hard candies were/are a life-saver for me. love ginger beer too, but sometimes it would give me heartburn.
  • I just purchased peppermint drops from Whole Foods. Haven't tried them yet.

I want to do some research first but they are peppermint extract so a drop under the tongue helps with nausea and motion sickness.

  • Thank you!!! Mostly because I heard this, bought some ginger beer, shoved it in the back of my fridge, and have been complaining about feeling sick for the past week and not remembering that I bought some for that exact purpose. Whoops...
  • I bought Chimes Ginger chews and they're amazing

@saladflambeI found these candied ginger root pieces at our grocery. I think you can find them in a lot of bulk sections. They have saved my afternoons at work a few times already!
  • @Lee_G this thread is from the end of last year. This is the May BMB so half of us have already had our babies. Morning sickness is a thing of the past....
