Veda or Vada?

I looked both up on behind the name. Vada was only listed as a user submitted name. I've always assumed it was spelled Veda. Am I missing something and which do you prefer?

    Vada is "Water" in Russian. I'd say Veda.

    Definitely Veda. When I see Vada, for some reason I think of "vader" like Darth Vader.

    When I see Vada it makes me want to say it like a baby saying dada.

    Vada was how the little girl from the movie My Girl spelled her name. I think that's where that spelling came from.
