My ticker change according to my LMP is today. O date might put it at tomorrow. But I'm going to hang out here until I know differently.

    Week:

What's new with baby (size, development)? Little Poppyseed

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival?
We bought a new car yesterday! We had been planning on it for awhile, as my old car was basically run into the ground. We had intended to go shopping over Memorial Day weekend, but we found a great deal on the car we wanted and didn't want to risk me driving in a potentially unsafe car, so we finally pulled the trigger. H was up all night on Wednesday looking up safety and crash test ratings. Adorable.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
I'm just really tired. I've been falling asleep between 7:30 and 8:30 every night this week. I do wake up at 4 for work, so that probably contributes. I also am a little crampy, and get lightheaded if I don't eat enough. Which reminds me, I'm also starving all the time.

    When is your next appointment?
    6/20 at 8+4.

GTKY: How much are you changing what you eat for your pregnancy? Are you on any special meal plans or diets?
I'm not really changing too much. I'm a pretty healthy eater in general. The coffee. That's the hard part. I haven't had coffee since Monday! That's got to be some kind of record for me.

Bonus: Post your favorite gifs if you have any! Let's make it a party! TGIF!

Edit: @Lecool We're going to have to get a new car too. DH and I only have a smartcar between the two of us so we're definitely going to have to trade it in for a 4-seater when it gets closer to the due date. I feel you on the sleepiness and crampy parts too. I was really worried about the crampsuntil I looked it up and found out that most women feel them the first couple of weeks.

    Week: 4!

What's new with baby (size, development)?
It's the size of a dipswitch toggle or a poppyseed, Though I implanted earlier than most and was turning tests at 9/10 DPO. I wonder if that means it's actually bigger than the average then?

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival?
Well, I told my boss that I'm KU and I'm saving up PTO so I can take time off for the birth and afterward. DH and I are also moving in August to a 2 bedroom so it's really good timing. We'll be able to start really saving up after that.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
DH wanted Red Lobster yesterday and I gagged like crazy at the thought of such a heavy meal. I'm also starting to feel uneasy randomly during the day, but not quite nauseous yet.

    When is your next appointment?
I have a consultation/orientation with a second birth center on June 6th. It seems so far away! My first consultation with a different birth center ended up with them not taking my insurance, so we'll see how this next one goes.

GTKY: How much are you changing what you eat for your pregnancy? Are you on any special meal plans or diets?
I bought the Whole30 book before I got a BFP and I'm easing my way into using it. I don't think I'm going to cut out all sugar because gingerale and gatorade have been helping me through the uneasy stomach, but other than those two things I'm all set up to start it.

@PaukMeKiande Let me know if you have any questions/need any resources for your Whole30! I've done quite a few (including a Whole90) and eat pretty close to that in my typical diet. I have a ton of recipes and blogs bookmarked!

  • Week: 7!

What's new with baby (size, development)? It's the size of a blueberry! Fingers and toes are starting to form.

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? Just trying to save money as much as possible. I am reading any pregnancy related thing I can get my hands on.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Rant: go away nausea.
Rave: I bought seabands yesterday. I hope they work.
    Symptoms: fatigue, nausea, and moodiness.

When is your next appointment? June 13th for a 10 week sonogram!

GTKY: How much are you changing what you eat for your pregnancy? Are you on any special meal plans or diets? I am just trying to eat anything at all that won't make me gag. Once nausea stops, I'll start eating better.

What's new with baby (size, development)? Apparently it's growing eyeballs.

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? Just thinking about what we need and hoping it's a boy so we need even less.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Nope.

When is your next appointment? Tuesday morning.

GTKY: How much are you changing what you eat for your pregnancy? Are you on any special meal plans or diets? I'm changing exactly nothing.

  • @gonetothesea what have you tried for the nausea so far? One of my friends swears by a recipe for preggopops like freezer pops for nausea.

@Lecool Yes please! Any resources or linked recipes you have that only include a limited number of ingredients or simple steps would be amazing! I'm trying to make this as easy to shop for and cook as I can since I'm not very good at cooking. I made scrambled eggs with spinach and tomatoes last night with some lemon juice and it was simple but delicious!

Oooh, do you have the recipe? I'll try anything.  So far, I've tried Seabands and Gin Gin Chews.  And trying to eat small snacks of saltines and water or ginger ale.

    *ETA: GIF!!

    Week:
    7

What's new with baby (size, development)? My little boo is the size of a blueberry, or a Brookesia micra chameleon according to one of my apps lol. Arm and leg joints are forming!

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? DH ripped out the carpet in the room that will be the nursery so we can replace it with hardwood like the rest of the house. Hoping it'll make clean-ups easier! I honestly can't wait to start decorating the nursery

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Extreme fatigue. Queasiness that is only eased if I graze all day long. I had some strong lumbar cramps yesterday that lasted for about 20 minutes. Very weird but I guess not uncommon according to google.

When is your next appointment? Next Friday! I'll be 8 weeks exactly.

GTKY: How much are you changing what you eat for your pregnancy? Are you on any special meal plans or diets? Nope - I'm always a generally healthy eater, and my husband is a classically trained chef so he makes me dinner!

Bonus: Post your favorite gifs if you have any! Let's make it a party! TGIF!

  • Week: 6

What's new with baby (size, development)?: Baby is the size of a sweet pea. Baby is starting to get facial features and developing a circulatory system,

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival?: Hubby and I currently live in a (albeit large) one bed flat. So I need to figure out if we can handle that for a year or if we should plan to move when our lease is up.  I also am starting to financially prepare. I have great maternity benefits, but daycare in London is ABSURDLY expensive.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I fly back to England today and literally cannot wait to be around my husband (he flew back last week) and back in the land of free health care.  I've had so many weird feelings and the fact that I don't have my husband or easy access to (FREEEE) health care is probably making me obsess about my symptoms more. My latest symptom is slight numbness in my right arm, which could be due to the fact that I've been working from "home" (aka my parents in America) this week and glued to my laptop's tiny keyboard.

When is your next appointment? I meet my general doctor on Wednesday and then get referred to a midwife for a first appointment.  Usually that appointment is before you're 10 weeks, so we'll see!

GTKY: How much are you changing what you eat for your pregnancy? Are you on any special meal plans or diets? I'm trying to eat more calcium as it's something  I don't get a lot of and I know it's important.

What's new with baby (size, development)? Size of a blueberry and generating 100 brain cells/minute.

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? Nothing yet.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Just really over the nausea and exhaustion.  I'm really just counting down until 2nd trimester when I'll, hopefully get some relief.

When is your next appointment? June 7th, which seems so far away. I'll be 9+4

GTKY: How much are you changing what you eat for your pregnancy? Are you on any special meal plans or diets?  I'm in survival mode right now.  Basically if I can get it down, I'll eat it.  Mostly I've been eating carbs since they're nicest on my stomach.  Once MS is gone, I'll get back to my regular eating.

  • What's new with baby (size, development)? Week 7!  Baby is the size of a blueberry this week.

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival?  We've already bought a few things on BST pages like pack n play, rock n play, and a swing.  Once I'm done teaching, we're going to start buying like a pack of diapers a week so we can have a stockpile.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Just feeling nauseous.

When is your next appointment? My first appt. is June 1!

GTKY: How much are you changing what you eat for your pregnancy? Are you on any special meal plans or diets?  I'm not changing too much, just trying to cut down on caffeine.  I've cut out frappes and I used to get them a couple times a week.  I'm trying to drink more water.

  • What's new with baby (size, development)? 6 weeks today! My sweet pea is the size of a sweet pea!

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival? Relaxing as much as possible and taking extremely good care of myself. Removing as much unnecessary stress as possible

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Food aversion has really surprised me. I get a craving for a certain food and then want absolutely no part of it once I have it lol. Bought two different lunches today!

When is your next appointment? May 31st

GTKY: How much are you changing what you eat for your pregnancy? Are you on any special meal plans or diets? Nothing intentionally.... I ate very healthy prior to pregnancy. I've craved junk but tend to not want it once I get it.
  • What's new with baby (size, development)? Blueberry or raspberry

Even though it's early, is there anything you're doing to plan/get ready for the baby's arrival?
Talking about finances but that's about it

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
cramping has subsided but nausea has increased... boobs are still full and sore

    When is your next appointment?
Wednesday it will be my first OB apt

GTKY: How much are you changing what you eat for your pregnancy? Are you on any special meal plans or diets?
I am trying to be healthy but it's been hard I am just eating small snacks more often to curb nausea

@PaukMeKiande Here's some of the bloggers I like, and where I pull most of my recipe ideas:
Against All Grain: Really great "weekend" meals. I'm a lazy cook, so some of her recipes are a lot to do on a weeknight. Her Real Deal Chocolate Chip Cookies are the bomb. (TW - She had a loss last year, and occasionally talks about it)
PaleOMG: I pretty much worship this woman. She's hilarious. The Five Ingredient Pizza Pie is my go-to and tastes even better as leftovers than it does fresh. It's super easy to make!
Nom Nom Paleo: Recipes look complicated but are super easy to follow!
Primal Palate: TONS of different types of recipes. They have a lot of different types of food, and it ranges from fancy to everyday meals. Plus, I think their site is the best organized and easiest to search.
Brittany Angell: For when your pregnant self needs sweets but you're trying to be good.
And since you like simple, I usually cook super simple for myself during the week (my H works graveyards, so I usually just cook for one) and I eat a lot of sautéed veggies with either chicken or steak. I buy different styles of veggies to give some variety. Like today I had mushrooms, onions and bok choy for a stir fry. It was really easy and was ready in less than 15 minutes. Hope that helps! :)

@gonetothesea Sorry your nausea is so bad! Hopefully you find some relief with the seabands. Have you tried Preggie Pops? I haven't tried them, but I saw them at Target and was curious, so I looked them up and a lot of people swear by them.

@asnowsurfer That's great that your H is getting your floors put in! I really want to replace all the carpet in our upstairs. It's original from the 80's when the house was built, and I kid you not, it is AQUA.
