  • I'm going to a party this evening - that's the type of thing where everyone tries to out fancy each in the food they bring. I'll grab some chips and dip.

also, we're not doing any screen time with DS for the first couple years. Except this week. I'm tired and sick and DH is gone and bubble guppies are here

  • FFFC: I had terrible ms this morning so I pouted until DH went to buy me mashed potatoes. It's all I want. I feel manipulative, but mostly I'm just excited about the mashed potatoes because I'm also starving. :)

@LCartee2016 - Damn you!  Lol.  I THOUGHT I had moved past my intense craving of a Boston Market side item meal with Mashed and gravy, Mac and cheese and cinnamon apples.  The closest one is 30+ minutes from here and now I'm trying to figure out how to get some.

  • FFFC: My boss expects me to do an impossible task Monday, and to start on it today. I can't start on it today because I don't have all the data I need, which I'll be getting on...guess when...MONDAY!!! So I'm going to organize everything and work on what he wants me to do Monday. It probably won't get done, but I warned him it probably wouldn't, so that's on him, not me. And if I get in trouble, I'm taking him with me for promising upper management something impossible.

@DiFazette absolutely nothing sounds good today and the thought of the food in my cabinets makes me want to hurl more. And then mashed potatoes ran  across my  brain and my mouth watered and suddenly I can think of nothing  else.
Mmmm, Boston Market food(mashed potatoes)  sounds delicious. We don't have one anywhere near me, but I think our local Walmart has some frozen options. But those are never as good.

@dmontgo good for you!  I don't understand why people are like that when interviewing candidates - they should be trying to impress you as much as you're trying to impress them.

FFFC - I told a colleague that I'm pregnant this week solely because all I ever do with her while on the road is drink.  It's really been making me think about how much I drank during business travel pre-pregnancy.  Business drunk is a real thing!  Luckily that never carried over to when I was home.

@karmba He was acting like he was doing me a favor, and he found my resume through LinkedIn. I try to treat others with common courtesy, and the concept seems to be lost to a lot of people.

@mrsstarki86 I am sorry about your loss and especially how rude your SIL is. Some people are clueless as to how much infertility hurts (or they don't care) and their attitudes are seriously shitty. I hope her self-righteous balloon pops hard when she hears about your great news!

  • I LOVE that no one knows I'm pregnant.  I feel like there keeps being discussions about whether you *should* or *shouldn't* tell people you're pregnant in the first trimester, but really I don't even want to.  I'm pretending to be fake excited that we'll probably announce next week if our genetic screening comes back normal, but I'm really not excited at all.  I think having this secret with DH is great.  After we got engaged, we immediately got inundated with opinions about how the wedding should be, who should be invited, when would be convenient for everyone, blah blah blah.  I'm not looking forward to 7 months of other people's opinions (or a lifetime of opinions) about my baby, and also not looking forward to answering the same questions a million times (how far are you? when are you due? how are you feeling? do you know the sex?).  I love the peace and quiet.
  • Everyone one pretty much knows except our families. I mean not Facebook... But all of my friends, a few coworkers/my "boss" (independent contractor here so I don't really like to give her that title) ... Im dreading telling my parents. But watch my mom complain when she finds out she was the last to know. That's what happens when you give judgy unsolicited mean opinions.
