What are you snacking on at work?

I keep a stash of wheat thins, cheese sticks, and some hot pockets in the freezer (terrible I know, but the jalapeño chicken is so delicious!).  I'm looking for other ideas.  Something sweet?  I don't know, I'm just hungry all the time and looking for new ideas!  Thanks, ladies!

  • I usually keep a couple bags of microwave popcorn in my desk drawer for super hungry afternoons, otherwise I mostly munch on Babybel cheese, cashews, and peanut butter cheerios. I've been trying to watch my carbs and it's really putting a damper on my snacking game!

  • I don't have the urge to snack very much, but I do keep rice cakes, cereal bars and nature valley almond bars at my desk and in my purse in case I miss a meal time for a meeting or something.

    Everything in sight, following for healthier suggestions. I do yogurt every morning and sometimes a banana but when I run out of snacks I start hitting the candy bowls...

    My snacks throughout the day (there are a ton) are usually: a small container of strawberries/blueberries, a string cheese, some baby carrots, an apple, a Greek yogurt and blueberry flavored almonds

    Usually I have yogurt, fresh fruit, crackers, & string cheese. I don't know if this counts as a "snack" but I also keep a bag of tots in the freezer because we have a toaster oven. 

    Also, not a snack, but I've been keeping a surplus of water at work. Our water is gross & my thirst the past few weeks has been CRAZY. I hate buying bottled water, but it fixes the problem. 
  • @Thscary I am still looking for those blueberry almonds that you recommended! Where do you buy them?

    I love Zone Perfect fudge graham protein bars. They taste like a candy bar and have 14g of protein. I drink a lot of Vita Coco coconut water with pineapple. Target has their generic brand of dark chocolate covered almonds and those are amazing!

    Bananas and mandarins. I get very fussy if I don't have one of each a day. :blush:

    I have been eating a lot of apples and oranges at work, but what I really want is a bag of goldfish!

    Everything! I work nights so I always keep popcorn, cereal, blueberry bagels, popcorn bites, granola bars, fig newtons, fruit snacks, strawberries, oranges, bananas, Chex mix...yogurt covered pretzels...
  • My usual snacks are bananas, yogurt, apples. Sometimes I'll have string cheese, pumpkin seeds, peanut butter. Today I ate an entire can of black olives.

  • Since being diagnosed with GD I have to eat a morning and afternoon snack at work.  I'm obsessed with salami and cream cheese roll-ups right now.  So I'll have about 4 of those and some cheez-its or cheese and crackers, fruit and cheese, and pickles.  I love pickles since they are zero calories!

  • Fruit, Nature Valley Protein bars, cheese sticks, nuts, and diet coke (I know it is bad but it is the only way I can focus)

  • I work in a coffee shop so I have a plethora of snacks to choose from! I try to eat fruit but also will eat day old pastries, hummus and pretzels, chips. Yesterday I had a carrot muffin and it was delicious!!
  • I'm actually super impressed with how healthy everyone is! Good work, ladies. Hopefully babies are happy. Idk though, after the sugary glucose screening drink my little guy was dancing up a storm! LOL maybe I need more of that kool-aid in my life

    You are all eating so healthy! 

    I just posted a long post on my "snacks" and it didn't show up ugh! So I'll keep this short. 

    lets just say I try to only eat a piece of fruit or yogurt most of the time... But today that snack was a bagel and cream cheese and fudge. 

    And cheese, baguette, and cranberry walnut topping. 

    It it was delicious.....

    I eat a ton... I have a Greek yogurt, a ton of cheese (like 6 slices), PC whole wheat crackers, veggies, berries, homemade beef jerky, granola bar and almonds. I eat that everyday in addition to my lunch

    @Sbrown721 I picked them up at a regional market called redners, and I have not yet seen them anywhere else. I go out of my way now to go to redners and buy.
  • What am I NOT snacking on? Carrots and hummus, crackers and chips with hummus, literally anything that I can justify with Nutella lol :)

  • I am still eating a cinnamon ego waffle almost daily! One a day since probably week 6  :D I pack up peanut butter and banana and make it like an open faced sandwich at my desk! Yum!

    Sometimes I make my own bars, I also love Bobos Oat Bars-- has anyone tried those? The cinnamon raisin is my favorite. I also have a piece of fruit and some cheese almost every afternoon. Sometimes random sugary snacks end up in my hand on my way home from work... Not sure how that keeps happening! Sour patch kids will be the death of me.

    dried apricots, almonds, Lara bars, yogurt, and Kind. Trying to keep it healthy! I've noticed that if I eat too much chocolate or sugary things, I crash in an hour! :(

    Me too! I ate a cupcake about 2 hrs ago and am now in bed trying to decide if I can squeeze in a nap before dinner with the in-laws. That sugar high was a bad idea   :s

    LOL so you ladies got me motivated. I really wanted to cut out the sugars I had been eating and drinking. Nothing too excessive but still to much) So I packed my lunchbox today with work snacks today. I have 2 hard boiled eggs (breakfast), watermelon, string cheese, cantaloupe, carrots and gluten free pretzels.

    @kosmo86 I covet your level of discipline! I was so motivated to do healthy snacks, then I walked in my breakroom this morning and saw a big plate of desserts. I thought to myself, I won't eat those. Unless they're lemon.

    They were lemon.

    Dammit! I am not looking forward to my next weigh-in. Haha.

    I just discovered these biscuits from Nature Valley. I got the cinnamon biscuits filled with almond butter. They are delicious! Taste kind of like an oatmeal cookie. I'm hoping they are slightly healthier than an actual cookie.

    Ok well I would not be able to do that either, especially on a MONDAY! No one brought in anything today so I was safe, but when they do I never resist!

    i had this obsession last week with blueberry muffins... i really have no idea why but god i couldnt get enough of them. we will see what happens this week lol brought some apple cinnamon mini rice cakes, chili cheese fritos, cheese cubes, and carbmaster yogurt today.
  • I've had a total sweet tooth this pregnancy, so my desk drawer is always stocked with candy.

  • I keep pack of sandwich crackers and a container of pecans at my desk but often stop and grab something im craving on the way. Usually healthy things like fruit, yogurt or... ya know.. a cheeseburger.

  • Healthyish - berries, kefir (drinkable yogurt, it's helping me to stay regular), yogurt, baby bel cheese, apples, bananas, 100 calorie bags of popcorn

    And the more fun stuff - individual size Jif peanut butters, dark chocolate covered mangos and berries from Costco, chocolate covered chewy granola bars, basically anything chocolate.

  • I love peanut butter so much and I have to stop myself from dipping a spoon in it every time I pass the pantry  :o I've had a major sweet tooth this pregnancy. It started with craving candy but fortunately it's now switched to fruit- apples, grapes, peaches. I always carry nuts in my car and usually have a string cheese or cottage cheese mid afternoon.
